Description

The second known image of Level 1244’s mountains.

It’s an idyllic mountain range with many streams of water, astonishing cliffs and big caves. This level doesn’t have a day-night cycle, and it stays approximately 5:00pm for eternity, staying in a crimson sky. When snow melts, other snow magically forms. Some mountains are really tall, competing with Mount Everest and Mauna Kea! This level is thought to be linked to The Crimson Forest. This level is around 27900 km wide and tall (17336.256 miles). Ageing has been found to be very slightly slower. If you were a baby born, it would take approximately 384 days to become 1 year old. Seasons don’t really exist in this level, so instead there are some parts in each season.

Notable Locations

Central Twelve-Forty-Four

It is a small village settlement that doesn’t really take influence from notable cities. This is where you can find the Colonial Central and this is where you spawn. This is where the M.E.G. also station themselves.

Similayas

This is an enormous mountain range. Most of the mountains are really tall, and of those mountains, the majority have snow. Most have a steep edge and a gentle (not steep) edge.

Near-Safe Cave System (NSCS)

A known image of one of the cave entrances. Most caves are horizontal but this one is vertical.

This level has a vast cave system with a lot of cave entrances although they may be small and compact. Most of the caves are horizontal and descend very gradually, but there are some caves (like in the picture) that are vertical.

The Forest of Leaves

Leaves carpet the floor in this forest, where there are many many trees. Each tree is around 1 square metre apart, meaning it’s quite dense. Superior Bees are found pretty often here.

Fieldlands

It is a huge field of mainly grass and the occasional meadow. Every so often, there is a tree, and on the tree is a nest of Superior Bees. The other non-guardian entities thrive here, and they are found everywhere.

Entities

The only entities in the level are friendly.

Milky Cow

This is the Backrooms cow. It gives infinite milk and you can communicate with it using telepathy! But it will only let you milk when it wants you to, and when you do it without permission it kicks you with its hoof.

Undying Chicken

This chicken species is protected and like this, it cannot die. It produces many many eggs without babies but before it dies, it produces just one tiny egg with a very durable shell and it contains a baby. Since it doesn’t need food, we can use these eggs for food. Often there are many eggs found within this level. And the great thing is, the eggs are edible raw!

Superior Bee

This is a bee that is found only in the forest and rarely in the plains. The honey that they make is said to taste like ‘god’s work’. Given different descriptions, it is thought to be a sort of telepathic honey, sensing your taste buds just before the honey and the buds collide. It is a mix of sweetness and your favourite flavour that isn’t sweet (like sour, spicy, bitter, etc.) The bees are about double the size of the bees inhabiting The Frontrooms.

Guardians

This level has 5 guardians that protect the level, like the Crimson Forest’s Lantern. Every single one has the ability to turn into a small ball of light, travelling wherever they wish.

Forest Guardian

This guardian guards the forests from any hostile entities. If any trees are cut down, it will grow a new one. If you treat it nice, it will treat you nice. It doesn’t mind you chopping down trees, as long as you don’t do it that often. This guardian is male.

Cavern Guardian

With the power of Earth on its side, it can be seen wandering around caves finding any hazards and making them non-hazardous. As the smallest of the guardians, it was built well for the job. It is still large at 3.221 metres (10.567585 feet) tall, but, like other guardians, has the power to turn into a small ball of light to fit in to the ‘small’ cracks. There are no stalactites or stalagmites, because they have been deemed ‘too dangerous’ by the guardian, because it thinks they might break on something. This guardian is female.

Mountain Guardian

Often sighted trekking the mountain ranges, this guardian forms the mountains. It makes the mountain steep for skiing, but steep enough so it isn’t a big drop if you fall down. There are no rocks poking out of the mountain to create danger, and the only vegetation and flora of the mountains are the hardy ones on the peak and the not-so-hardy ones on the base to avoid being crashed into. Anyone who tries to climb the mountain has a protection bubble around them, giving them air at high altitudes. The mountains are covered with snow, except for a few, which have been cleared of snow, for a different climbing experience. This guardian is female.

Atmospheric Guardian

This guardian controls the atmosphere. It makes the sky less cloudy at night so you see the stars better. It controls the meteors and prevents any meteors from hitting this Level. It can control the weather. Near where you are transported in the level, you will find a small dome made of metal. When you enter, it contains a hologram of The Frontrooms in the centre. Off to the left is a meteor tracker, tracking the closest meteors and giving information about it. To the right tells you the current weather and if asked (get to that soon) will display the future weather. The room has many painting of different levels, like The Crimson Forest, Level 0, Level 136, Level 5 and Level 11. It is unknown where these came from, as the guardians are unable to travel to different levels (except for The Crimson Forest and Level 9.1’s Crimson Fields). Now, about the future weather. You can ask the guardian (if you have a good enough reputation) to change the weather. If you have a good enough reason, it will schedule it for a few hours in the future. This guardian is male.

Fauna Guardian

This guardian protects the Milky Cows and the Undying Chickens. This guardian is the guardian that protects those 2 animals. This is the only guardian that can go to any level. If a Milky Cow or Undying Chicken is stolen, it can sense it, and will travel to the exact location of the animal and bring it back, and punish the wanderer who stole it with the punishment of never being able to come here again. This guardian is female.

Colonies

This level has five main colonies, each protected by one guardian.

Colonial Central

An unconfirmed Photograph of Colonial Central, but this is what a psychic predicted Colonial Central to be in the future.

This is where the M.E.G usually stay, as this is where the Atmospheric Guardian’s steel dome is and this is also where you spawn. It is sort of like a city, but with many empty huts for new wanderers to stay. This is protected by the Atmospheric Guardian.

High North

The first known image of High North

The base of any wanderer who ventures north into the mountains and valleys, this is the dream place of any mountain climber. Consisting of many small bases, this colony is located around 500km (310.686 miles) north of Colonial Central. This is protected by the Mountain Guardian.

Field People

A known image of the plains found in Level 1244

Any wanderer who wants to live in normal ordinary fields ventures to the east and finds this place. Dense with plants, this is also the main home of the Milky Cow and the Undying Chicken, though they can both be found in the mountains, the caves (although rarely) and the forests. The terrain here is quite flat and easy to build on in some areas as well as slightly hilly in others, much to the happiness of the wanderers. This is protected by the Fauna Guardian.

Dwarf-Like Dwellers

These are the wanderers who live in the sprawling cave systems south of Colonial Central. They are very mineral rich…but that’s about it. The budding miners of the Backrooms often like to come here. This is protected by the Cavern Guardian.

Wood Wanderers

A known image of the forest

This is the forest colony of this Level. It is enormous and since it is west of Colonial Central, it is connected with the mountains, and some trees even go up the mountains! Many many trees are found in this region, where the trees grow in about a week. This is protected by the Forest Guardian.

Other Notable Entities

NULL

Depiction of NULL

NULL is a virus that has been created by unknown means. Since its arrival, there have been 6 people reported missing that haven't been found since. At the moment, the M.E.G. and the guardians are trying to get it out. All tries to remove it have unfortunately been unsuccessful.

Entrances & Exits

Entrances

  • The Forest Guardian says that there is a gateway between The Crimson Forest and here somewhere, but he doesn’t remember where. He does remember finding it somewhere at the edge of the forest. This is the entranceway where you spawn very close to Colonial Central (a few kilometres away), but not quite at Colonial Central.
  • In Level 1334, when you enter the safe’s code, you get one of two options, go through a door to Level 50 or to press a small red button to be transported here. This is the more safer of the two because it is safer than the Crimson Fields, and Level 1334 leads straight from Level 11 which is also quite safe.
  • Driving to Baguio in Level 628.

Exits

  • If you go back through the gateway between The Crimson Forest and this level, guess where you end up? Back in The Crimson Forest!
  • There is a small cave next to the High North colony, if you enter that you will be transported to Level 249.
  • In the plains, there is an extremely small chance that you will find a glitch in the ground. If you jump through there, you will go to Level 301, but this is not advised. This is why the Fauna Guardian is trying to patch it whenever it appears.
  • In the caves, there is a dark hole near the entrance to one of the caves with red water in it. Jump into this hole and you will be transported to Level 1329, though this is highly unrecommended due to the level being a Deadzone.
