Description

Level 138 appears to be a suburban area, with a surface area of 150,000 km2. If someone manages to walk to the edge of the suburbs, they will be met with pure ocean. Attempting to go into the ocean will result in immediate death. This is likely due to the water being extremely toxic acid.

Entities are scattered around the suburbs, usually found every 5,000 km2, in hordes of 3-5. Typically, they are a hound, Facelings, Skin-Stealers, or rarely even lighter, thought these are only typical ones. They can be anything from the main 9 levels.

The houses usually vary in length, width and height, along with many other features (paint, indoors, number of windows & doors, etc), though they aren't usually extremely different from each other, with only a couple of features changed (not the case to some houses). It also possesses trees, rocks, and other typical stuff you'd see in a suburban area. Cars are also parked next to almost every house, though they can not be driven due to most of the integral parts being gone. Reasoning is still unknown, though many believe it is because entities steal them, to prevent easy escape.

One of the "void" houses, though this one has been lit up to make it describable.

Every once in a while, a car will pass by. The car can be any brand, though most typically it is seen as a Ford, a BMW or a Toyota. They are typically seen driving around 80 km/h. Being hit by one of these cars can result in death, though it varies on the body part that was hit. The driver can not be seen due to the blacked out windows, there is thought to be no one driving a the car, or an entity itself driving it.

There is about 3.8 million houses. If a house is opened, it will seem normal. However, after approximately 1 minute of the house being opened (still unknown why), entities begin flooding out of furniture, cracks, etc. These entities can be any entity that is in the main 9 levels. Only about 52,032 houses of the 3.8M houses is completely safe, and can be used to move onto the next level. These houses can be told apart because they are a special shade of red / green / blue, though it usually takes days to find one. For some reason, it is impossible to take a picture of one of the houses, because it will simply glitch out and delete the picture. This is thought to be because it can give easy coordinates to the house, making it very easy to find the house. If a house is completely black, a "void" color if you will, it means that, that house is filled with entities, and should be avoided at ALL costs. Looking at the house for more than 5 seconds is also a safety hazard, due to reports of going slightly insane and hallucinating.

Level 138 should be entered with proper equipment (such as weapons, Almond Water, and food, since hunger and thirst are slowed down by only 10%).

Entities

Entities vary from levels 1-9, through the most common one is the hound or Facelings. The reason for this is still unknown.

Colonies and Outposts

Surprisingly, even though it is a Class 4, colonies do exist due to the level not being dangerous if one does not go in a house, and isn't near entities.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Travelling enough in level 137 can cause one to teleport here.
  • Possible to teleport here from anything that can cause a teleportation to a random level.

  • Accessible from The Hub or taking an elevator
  • the Backrooms United Haven guards all doors

Exits

  • Finding one of the 52,032 correct houses, then staying in it for more than 5 minutes will cause one to teleport to level 139
  • Digging a trench with a shovel, (typically found in a shed in the backyard of a house) then staying in it will cause one to teleport to Level 1918
  • Jumping in the ocean found at the very edge of the Suburbs, has a 0.01% to teleport you to level 4000
  • Fort Night has an exit which leads directly to Level 11
