Description
Level 142 is thought to be composed of frequency waves. The level was first discovered in 2014 when an anonymous explorer tested a frequency detector in the luggage area of Level 141. Level 142 has scarce dynamic space, and has a transparent elucidian plane, which makes it almost inhabitable due to the nature of this level. However, there have been reports of unusual audio, including noises of rainfall, wind, weeping, and other irregularities. It has been reported that the level also has a fragrance of 'metal and cologne'. After research was conducted, the weeping was identified to be from a Wanderer who went missing in the year 1923. Some of the frequencies recorded seem to be spectrograms, depicting various Backrooms levels. Scientists set up an experiment in which recording equipment was established in three separate areas, approximately 130 meters away from each other. The equipment graphed the resonating frequencies, and some of the spectrograms seem to be instances in conjunction, able to be used as frames of video. Some frequencies could be used to piece together primitive video footage of the Backrooms at any timeframe. Why this level picks up and resonates these frequencies is as of yet unknown. The level has virtually no source of light, and one upon entering will face complete darkness. It is highly recommended to bring a flashlight due to un-accounted dangers which may cause harm.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- Level 142 can be entered via the 666-AIRPLANE gate on Level 141. The gate will have a white door through which a Wanderer can enter the level. A burst of sound will play upon entry, however, which may rupture one's eardrums.
Exits
- One can exit Level 142 by simply walking approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) in any direction, which may lead back to Level 141.
- Noclipping through the ground around the 10-mile range may lead to Level 442.
