Level 1497 is the 1498th level in the Backrooms. (This page belongs to Virtuacrack, please do not upload delete template)
Appearance
Level 1497, or “False Sensation”, is a Backrooms level that is only mentally hazardous. This level consists of a brick tube (compared to the insides of sewers) that is about 4 kilometers (or 2.48 miles) in length and is only 2 meters in height and width.
After walking for over 1 kilometer, new features begin to appear. One is a distortion to bricks on the left side of the tube. M.E.G broke this wall and a Partygoer without the ability to infect others to also become Partygoers trudged towards the team of 4 people. Because the Partygoer was not dangerous, it was held in captivity in Catalan’s Level for 2 weeks. The Partygoer died.
After walking for 2 kilometers, large protrusions in the ground begin to form with every step. These should not be worried about, because they aren’t dangerous. Another strange factor is after 2 kilometers are walked, hallways to other rooms that seem to have nothing to do with this level branch off to the sides.
Finally, at the 4 kilometer mark, a bright void will be at the end of the tunnel. There is a sign above the void, which says “Backrooms Exit”. To the right of the void is a note, which says:
”Congratulations. You have left the Backrooms. We hope you have had a wonderful stay here. We’ll see you in the future.”
On this note, a signature was formed, R.B. During M.E.G forensics, (supplied by B.N.T.G) it was discovered this was likely written somewhere between September of 2014, and December of 2016. R.B, is the initials of a suspected man named Robin. The last name of Robin is still not clear, but M.E.G believes that it might have been Robin █ █ █ █, the photographer of this level, and it is believed to be Robin as the photographer as the image was dated on the back with “6/7/2015, I’m still not [indistinguishable] here (?), so I better leave.”
Robin █ █ █ █ is presumed dead.
Entities
- Normal-Goers
Normal-Goers are creatures that look identical to Partygoers, except they are 3 feet shorter, cannot infect others to become Partygoers, and instead of a bloody smile etched into where a face would be, a drawing of a black “smiley face” is drawn on it. During the autopsy of a Normal-Goer, a crew of doctors from M.E.G discovered the faces were drawn on with a popular brand of marker called “Sharpies”.
TRANSCRIPT
Dr. Ellis: Strange. A foul odor is being emitted from it’s face. It smells like.. sharpie.
Dr. Kale: Why, why would you smell it’s face?
Although this may make it seem like a joke level, it is not, as the type of “Sharpie” was not low-odor.
Colonies and Outposts
There are 3 outposts. In order of highest to lowest population.
M.E.G Base F.E.A.R, or Fourteen-Ninety-Seven Exploration And Researching, has 14 members, and is supplied with tools to study Normal-Goers every 97 days by the B.N.T.G.
Justice for Jerry group, a group that worships Jerry. Has 5 members and is extremely hostile.
Map Rotators, owned by 4 people and is currently moving across levels.
Objects
There is only one new notable object, called “Bitter Almond Water”. This should not be drank, as bitter almonds are extremely cyanogenic. Reportedly, everyone who drank this has immediately died. There is a high amount of hydrogen cyanide in the Bitter Almond Water, and this causes one to convulse rapidly when ingested.
Entrances
- Door in Level 0
A door in Level 0 can easily bring you here, although the door has the wallpaper pattern over it.
- Elevator in The End
As the legend has been told, finding an elevator in The End will send you to the true end. This is not entirely true, as finding an elevator in the end can send you here.
Exits
- Reaching the light at the end of the tunnel will send you to Level 6483.
- Mooing at a Normal-Goer sends you to Level 7453.
- Walking backwards sends you to Level -14.
- Noclipping can send you to the outside of the level, on top of the tube in a black void. Jumping into the void can send you to Level Smiler, or Level 6.
