I. Preface
Level 150 is the 151st level of the Backrooms Cluster I, and one of the important transition points from Cluster I to the deeper levels.

Departure.
II. Environment
Level 150 is a non-Euclidean linear space that manifests as an infinitely extending asphalt road with composite natural landscapes on both sides.
The roads in Level 150 are mostly winding and narrow, typically appearing as ordinary two-lane roads without emergency lanes from the Frontrooms - divided evenly by lemon-yellow double solid lines at the center. Narrow brick sidewalks usually flank both sides of the road, with bricks measuring approximately 1 square meter in rectangular or hexagonal shapes. The streetlights vary in appearance and serve as crucial illumination sources in this level; their spacing fluctuates significantly, with recorded minimum intervals of about 4 meters and maximums reaching approximately 4 kilometers.
Some sections feature iron guardrails along the roadside. Despite exposure to various natural phenomena like rainfall, these rails permanently maintain a brand-new condition without any signs of rust. Certain organizations have conducted large-scale removal of these guardrails for metal smelting purposes. In conclusion, the guardrails in this level possess exceptionally high value.
In rare instances, roads in Level 150 may manifest as viaducts or highways. Such roads are typically wider than conventional ones, with up to 3-4 lanes, but lack sidewalks. One unverified report mentioned the level appearing as railway tracks, considered an extremely low-probability or even impossible occurrence.
Additionally, the entire level is covered by exceptionally stable and high-quality Wi-Fi signals named "Nostalgia"; it requires no password and automatically connects to wanderers' electronic devices upon entry. Wanderers can use this to access the BACK-NET for communication. Subsequent explorations by M.E.G. proved that wanderers can use this network to exchange information with others within the level; this phenomenon significantly improved exploration efficiency and laid the foundation for determining the level's designation.
The power source in Level 150 remains unknown. The concrete utility poles along the roads are non-functional for actual power transmission, and no operational electrical systems have been discovered underground. The prevailing theory suggests that electricity generated by seemingly unreachable wind turbines at the level's boundaries is transmitted through some unknown means to power the streetlights.
Level 150 exhibits several unusual characteristics distinct from typical levels. Later exploration teams from M.E.G. noted that the environment within this level is exceptionally quiet, with only subtle ambient noises like wind through trees, waves against shores, or rain hitting pavement audible; this allows most wanderers to clearly hear their own breathing and heartbeat in particularly quiet sections. Additionally, the soil layer appears infinitely deep; multiple organizations have attempted to drill through the ground to reach the Void, all unsuccessfully, with the deepest recorded borehole reaching approximately 600 meters.
Wanderers may occasionally find single-story, unfurnished wooden houses along the road. These structures seem to generate randomly, appearing incongruous with their surroundings and often obstructing passage. The houses vary in size - some can accommodate nearly 100 people simultaneously while others barely fit five. Some reports mention trees growing vertically through floors and ceilings, though this remains unverified. Due to the absence of lighting fixtures, wanderers should watch their step to prevent falls. The wooden structures are dilapidated, with walls, floors and ceilings all being fragile and of uncertain stability.
In the distance, one might glimpse the hazy outlines of neatly arranged wind turbine clusters. These turbines perpetually rotate slowly yet maintain constant distance regardless of approach attempts. Their true nature remains speculative since close examination is impossible, though they're widely believed to support the level's power system.
Level 150 adapts its environment individually and changes with distance traveled. The level also features infinite natural landscapes extending beyond the road. For unknown reasons, attempts to photograph areas away from the road produce only grayscale static noise, rendering images unrecognizable.

Addendum #001 - M.E.G. Expedition Report
■ Operation Code: 1280
■ Team Designation: E17
■ Expedition Period: August 9-16, 2024
■ Location: Interior of Level 150
■ Subject: Environmental features of Level 150
This eight-day operation thoroughly investigated four distinct environmental terrains within Level 150. Below is our report on the level's internal environments:
→ Mountains
- This terrain appears frequently, with mountains often clustered together.
- Composed primarily of rock, soil and light snowfall; the indestructible rocks damage any tools attempting to break them; mountain snow never melts regardless of external conditions.
- No vegetation grows on mountains for unknown reasons.
- No tunnel sections exist - when obstructed, roads make impossible-angle turns to circumvent barriers.
- Despite rainfall, no signs of floods, avalanches, mudslides or other natural disasters occur here.
- Peaks remain unclimbable as they extend infinitely upward when approached, suggesting the level prevents boundary access intentionally.
→ Forests
- Dense concentrations of Frontrooms-style trees dominate this terrain.
- Leaves constantly drip water regardless of weather, creating frequent puddles.
- Trees perform normal photosynthesis, respiration and transpiration, producing oxygen/carbon dioxide and supporting water cycles - a trait shared by roadside trees throughout the level.
- High probability of finding moss, fungi, spiders or small plants, forming a miniature ecosystem despite lacking larger fauna.
- Proceeding deep into forests leads to Level 174.
→ Lakes
- Rarely occurring, typically adjacent to mountainous areas.
- Water consists of exceptionally pure almond water safe for direct consumption.
- Flows mysteriously toward oceans with undiscoverable sources - all attempts to locate origins fail inexplicably.
- Shores often grow Forget-worries Grass among which Almond Water and chocolate mud can be found.
- Depth varies dramatically from 0.5m to immeasurable depths (estimated ≥500m).
- No aquatic life detected, with deeper regions awaiting exploration.
- Entering lakes transports one to Level 152.
→ Oceans
- Frequently occurring environment.
- Seawater composition: 97% Almond Water, 2% salt, 1% impurities.
- Only plants, algae and microorganisms inhabit these waters despite suitable conditions for larger lifeforms.
- Abyssal depths remain lightless and unexplored.
- Following beaches eventually leads to Level 100.
- The horizon remains unreachable - progress toward it loops wanderers back to shore inexplicably.

Sunrise.
Level 150 is a typical dual-celestial level where wanderers can observe two massive celestial bodies in the sky, serving as sun and moon respectively to provide illumination.
As the primary luminous body during daytime, the sun's light intensity varies temporally. Research indicates its sunlight is weaker than Earth's sun, preventing sunburns; consequently, daytime temperatures in Level 150 fluctuate mildly within 15°C—comfortable for humans. Irregular breezes often occur, partially caused by regional temperature differences, with sudden changes potentially causing strong winds.
Level 150's moon appears smaller than its sun but resembles the Frontrooms' moon. Pale yellow in color, it emits faint yellowish light without lunar phases, perpetually full. Though dimmer than the level's sun, its glow exceeds Earth's moon. Whether self-luminous or reflective remains undetermined. Both bodies shift positions in Level 150 to create 12-hour day/night cycles matching Earth-time, making this level temporally synchronized with reality.
Beyond illumination, these celestial bodies aid navigation. Conventionally, sunrise direction marks "East" and sunset "West," thus defining cardinal directions—greatly assisting exploration.
Besides these two primary bodies, Level 150's night sky contains numerous stars that gradually emerge at dusk, adorning the dark blue expanse. Streetlights automatically activate during nighttime.
The nature of Level 150's sky remains mysterious. M.E.G. research speculates about an infinite universe above, with some conjecturing this level might be a celestial body within the Frontrooms' cosmos—that crossing the unreachable firmament could lead home—though unverified.
Rarely, wanderers may find special vending machines along roads, visually identical to those in Level 334. Operation is simple: insert any coin-shaped object (without identification systems, all such objects are accepted). The machine then dispenses random items, though occasionally remains unresponsive. Curiously, these machines only appear during nighttime, their operational principles unknown.

Rainfall.
Water is the source of life. As a safe level without environmental threats, Level 150 experiences rainfall as a natural weather phenomenon.
Similar to Level 7.3, Level 150 also possesses a crucial water cycle. Groundwater evaporates to form cumulus clouds that accumulate precipitation before releasing it back to earth. Rain often arrives with thunder. Individual rainfall events typically last about 1 hour with irregular frequency. The rainwater primarily consists of Almond Water; exceptionally pure, it's considered safe for direct consumption and retains Almond Water's effects.
Due to Level 150's unpredictable light intensity, temperatures also fluctuate unpredictably; when below 0°C, snowfall may occur. This phenomenon largely resembles real-world snowfall, except the level's snow is remarkably resistant to melting under environmental conditions—road snow typically requires 2-3 days to fully melt. Curiously, water resources never freeze here for reasons yet unknown.
◈
Addendum #002 - Rainfall Observation Report
Below are observations of rainfall phenomena within this level (conducted inside Level 150 from 14:00-18:30 on August 13, 2022):
→ Pre-rain
- 3 hours preceding precipitation: persistent mugginess with rising humidity.
- Leaden-gray cumulus clouds with low cloud bases.
- Noticeably stronger winds.
- Occasional low-decibel rumbles of distant thunder.
→ During rain
- Slight temperature drop.
- Cumulus clouds darken.
- Visual estimates show raindrop diameters commonly exceeding 5mm with visible splashing.
- Severe road flooding due to absent drainage systems.
→ Post-rain
- Cumulus clouds rapidly dissipate, revealing blue skies and sun.
- Ground dries completely within 1 hour.
- Winds weaken.
- Sunlight raises temperatures again.
Beyond these weather patterns, Level 150 exhibits no other natural weather phenomena.

DREAM
Falling asleep in Level 150 allows access to an anomalous area of this level referred to as "Old Dreams Manifested".
Old Dreams Manifested typically appears as a concrete projection of memories from the deepest consciousness of wanderers. This unique psychological phenomenon is often closely connected to an individual's most cherished emotional imprints. Specifically, the projections mostly focus on key growth milestones or warm moments shared with loved ones in the wanderer's life.
The scope of Old Dreams Manifested varies, but usually matches the range of corresponding areas in the wanderer's memory. Beyond the boundaries lies the mist-covered void, appearing as pure gray.
The time in Old Dreams Manifested is perpetually fixed at night, with the entire environment shrouded in light mist. Notably, colorful aurora-like light bands occasionally appear in the mist, referred to as memory rainbows. According to observers, these light bands typically display blue-green hues interspersed with pale purple and pink halos. Observations suggest that the appearance of memory rainbows often coincides with heightened activity in wanderers' memories.
Interestingly, in this unique conscious space of Old Dreams Manifested, wanderers typically exist in a special "observer perspective", freely adjusting flight altitude and angles while breaking free from conventional physical laws, unaffected by quantum collisions with solids. When wanderers move toward the boundaries, they're blocked by an invisible barrier preventing entry into the external void.
Although most wanderers wish to linger longer here, waking from the dream is inevitable. Therefore, comprehensive exploration of this area remains extremely difficult and has never been successfully achieved, resulting in relatively scarce documentation about this region.
Additionally, in Old Dreams Manifested, wanderers can find the plant called Forget-worries Grass everywhere.
- Forget-worries Grass, also known as the daylily serves as a typical symbol of Level 150. It can be found throughout this level, yet exists exclusively within this level.
- Normally, the petals of Forget-worries Grass appear orange-yellow, about thumb-sized, with slender dark green leaves. The number of petals per plant varies and is believed to correlate positively with the emotional investment of nearby wanderers in memory scenes.
- Later research reports from M.E.G. indicate that proximity to Forget-worries Grass in this level helps alleviate psychological stress among wanderers, converting negative emotions into positive ones. Additionally, it stimulates nostalgia and clarifies memories of the past. Although the mechanism behind these effects remains unknown, the plant remains widely popular among wanderers.
- Moreover, Forget-worries Grass possesses remarkable healing properties. Fresh petals soaked in clean water for approximately 100 minutes release unknown active compounds into the liquid, which can then be consumed as a substitute for medication to treat various illnesses. For external wounds, fresh leaves crushed into a paste and applied to cleaned wounds can inhibit common pathogenic bacteria, reduce pain, and accelerate healing. Notably, these therapeutic effects intensify in proportion to the user's emotional resonance with related memory scenes.
- When Forget-worries Grass is soaked in Almond Water, it produces a liquid known as "Sorrowless Water." Drinking this induces rapid sleep and vivid dream experiences, often transporting the drinker to deeply cherished hometown scenes or reunions with long-missed loved ones. It has also proven effective in rescuing wanderers trapped in the Wretched Cycle or suffering from severe depression.
- Unfortunately, Forget-worries Grass plants are difficult to preserve, withering within 5 hours of removal from the soil of Level 150. Due to these stringent environmental requirements, large-scale cultivation is currently impossible, driving market prices as high as 50 bottles of Almond Water per plant.
III. Special Phenomenons
Although Level 150 possesses a safe environment and habitable conditions, there are almost no other wanderers present. It is speculated that due to the level's enormous size and non-Euclidean nature, wanderers cannot encounter each other unless they enter from the same location. Another theory suggests that when multiple individuals enter the level simultaneously, each wanderer is assigned to one of the level's numerous copies—similar to Level !—with the sole exception being when a group enters through the same entrance point, allowing them to appear in the same section of the level.
Moreover, most wanderers report that all Backrooms items they carried mysteriously disappeared upon entering Level 150. To avoid unnecessary material losses, it is advised that wanderers secure their valuables before entering this level.
Additionally, within this level, wanderers' physiological needs such as hunger and thirst slow to approximately one-third of their normal rate, granting them significantly more time and energy to explore the level.
The level only permits unidirectional exploration—any attempt to travel in the opposite direction of one's original path will result in the individual being transported to either Level 0, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4.
IV. Entities
To date, no entities have been documented within Level 150.
V. Resources
Level 150 contains abundant resources. Below is a list of known Backrooms objects found within this level.
- Almond Water: Relatively abundant, typically found in grassy areas.
- Almond Cake: Relatively scarce, can be found under streetlights.
- Almond Tea: Relatively scarce, can be found under streetlights.
- Moth Jelly: Moderately distributed, typically found on roadside railings.
- Backshrooms: Relatively abundant, can be found in wooded areas.
- Portable Purifiers: Relatively scarce, typically found in rock crevices on mountain faces.
- Mixologist's Delight: Relatively scarce, can be found near beaches.
VI. Colonies and Outposts
Due to the unique properties of Level 150, it is currently impossible to establish human communities within this level. M.E.G. periodically dispatches task forces stationed in Level 4 to conduct exploratory operations in this level.

• Recovered Document — ✎ Nostalgia · Departure
I suppose you can imagine the feeling of seeing the sky again after being trapped in a dark building for many years.
Oppression, fear. Before this, I had exhausted all means to escape, striving only to survive. When I saw a door labeled "Emergency Exit," my weary eyes widened. I wanted to shout, to express my excitement, or at least pause for a moment to catch my breath. But I couldn't. Six years, two months, and thirteen days—this was the exact time I had spent trapped in those endless buildings. My hand reached uncontrollably for the door, trembling, then pulled it open. As the door swung wide, blinding sunlight poured in like liquid gold. Instinctively, I raised my hand—a reflex honed over those years—only to feel a long-lost breeze slip through my fingers, caressing me like a mother's touch.
The asphalt road was warm under the sunlight, and as I stepped onto it, I felt as though my mother were soothing me. The straight road stretched endlessly, lined with clusters of forget-worries grass, their orange-yellow petals swaying; legend says they absorb sorrow. I crouched, and when my fingertips brushed the petals, sunlight seemed to pierce my heart, dispelling the darkness. A rusted bicycle lay in the grass, its basket pooling rainwater that reflected my joy—it reminded me of my childhood bicycle from my father, which carried and witnessed my laughter and tears.
The lead-gray clouds had barely settled when raindrops began to fall, raising a mist from the road. Rain—real, untamed rain. Summer showers arrive without warning. By the time I reached a tree, my shirt was soaked. Lightning flickered through the leaves, and the damp air smelled of earth. I remembered running through alleys as a child, drenched yet opening my mouth to taste the rain. Now, droplets slid from my hair, carrying a crystalline sweetness.
As the sunset gilded the clouds, I noticed my shadow no longer bore the sickly blue hue of the backrooms. Birds darted across the sky, their cheerful calls bringing sudden tears. I tucked forget-worries grasses into my diary—they would dry into translucent specimens, like pain that fades but never vanishes.
I walked slowly along the roadside. The road ahead was still long... But I firmly believed that if I do it, I will reach the other side of success and get back to my hometown at the end.
It was time to move forward. One cannot live forever in the past, right?
Set sail, toward the hopeful tomorrow.
