Level 152 is the 153rd level of the backrooms

Description[]

Level 152, also known as Level SLIDE, is an assumed infinite network of interwoven tubes and passageways that twist and curve in a multitude of directions. The structure is composed of smooth, synthetic material, with each tunnel exhibiting a vivid array of primary and secondary colours. The colours vary between red, blue, green, yellow, and orange, creating an environment that is both disorienting and brightly saturated. Notably, the colour purple is entirely absent from the level, a detail that feels intentional and strangely unsettling. The surfaces of the tubes are scratched and worn, showing signs of repeated usage, grime, and structural indecency.

Within the tubes are clusters of plastic windows, which are seen in both transparent and translucent varieties. These windows are often set flush with the curved walls with small immovable bolts holding them in place. Much like the surrounding tubes, the windows can appear in a range of vivid colours, though such pigmentation is rare and often limited to soft, fading hues. When present, the coloured panes distort light in subtle, disorienting ways, casting irregular glows that pulse faintly as if responding to unseen movement beyond the glass. Recently, there have been discoveries of messages being engraved on the windows from what appear to be previous travellers. This discovery indicates that tubes are reused and re-jumbled, not dissimilar to a Rubix cube. However, no one has perceived this event in motion or to what extent these slides travel when jumbling.

Looking through the plastic windows will always reveal an empty fast food chain restaurant. This restaurant is neglected, dusty, has several cobwebs, and a massive window that appears to show the outside world. The only light source in Level 152 is the sun shining through this window, giving this level a day night cycle. Many have attempted to travel to said restaurant but, despite the tubes structural instability, none have ever made it out of the tubes or broken through the glass successfully. Travel is typically limited to moving horizontally or downwards; the lack of friction on the slides makes ascension near impossible with the only exception being a rare set of platforms and ledges. There are periodic reports of falling into a room with no exit, specifically where the entrance has turned into a clear plastic window or even has no window. This information has only been obtained through radio communication through M.E.G’s experimentation. Radios and walkie talkies have, in rare circumstances, allowed for to communication, however, the connection is spotty at best.

Level SLIDE

Level 152 possesses an unusual effect that prevents wanderers from encountering each other, generating duplicates of itself for each entrant. Usually, this level is eerily silent. However, you may hear the voices of loved ones calling your name from outside the tubes or "scuttling noises" and "knocking"- always from out of sight. However, all attempts to pursue these voices have proven futile, as they never seem to grow closer, regardless of the distance travelled.

According to an overwhelming amount of reports, some tubes are connected to water slides that, when slid down, will cause one to endlessly loop around in a circle, making their entry point to the water slide no longer accessible. Climbing upwards has proven fruitless, as no matter how far one climbs, they will never reach their entry point. This information was also obtained through radio communication, as those who have experienced this first hand are still missing.

Rushing water can be heard when nearing one of these waterslides. However, it is crucial to stay away from these water slides at all costs. Most waterslides use chlorinated water. However, In rare instances waterslides may contain alternate fluids such as almond water or cashew water, however, due to the rarity of these events, the chances of one’s survival using this water is slim at best.

Entities[]

There are no confirmed entities. However, in several reports, there have been claims of a figure moving from the corner of one’s eye while going through this level. The figure appears to go down random slides and paths without known patterns or reasoning. This figure has been impossible to identify, as it changes every time it is viewed, thus, reporting has been inconsistent at best. When the figure appears, a strong urge to follow it will manifest. However, if one resists the urge, intense anxiety and regret are likely to be felt. However, following the figure has resulted in several incidents, from falling into endless slides to getting sealed in a closed tube, however all reports have stated that upon following the figure, they mentally deteriorated much faster than normal, some going into a panicked state just to keep the figure in sight. Some theorize this potential entity is merely a hallucination, as it only appears to those who have undergone significant mental deterioration. In one report a person claimed to talk with the figure but he was found to be an unreliable source of information due to a deteriorating mental state. It is recommended to exit the level as soon as possible if this shadow entity is seen as its presence shows signs of mental deterioration within its observers as previously stated.

Since the level is infinite and wanderers cannot reach each other, establishing communities is impossible.

Entrances[]

  • You have a rare chance of coming here when noclipping through a slide in a playground on any level.
  • It is rumoured that you can get here by going through a random slide on Level 37, but there is no evidence to prove that such a slide exists since it is rare to come across one.

Exits[]

  • Going deep within this level will lead to water filled tubes. Trudging through this water will gradually lead one to level 37.
  • Dying inside an infinite looping waterslide will send one to Level 7.
  • Sliding down a long black-coloured tube slide has a rare chance to lead to The Void. This is not recommended.
  • Going down an endless looping waterslide for 48 hours has a low chance of a window appearing. However, it can only be seen for one lap, and looking out of it can result in one ending up in Level 71. However, if this window is blacked out, it will lead to a random negative level or a deadzone level when looked through; blacked out windows are even rarer but far more deadly.
