"Ensured Productivity Quota"

It at first seems like a relief, a break from the mandated madness of the Backrooms, but this level is just like the others, if not the exact same as another unknown, unexplored level out there one has yet to draw from the recesses of their mind.

Description

Level 156633.jpg

Level 15663 is a dimly-lit art studio approximately 1,000 square feet/92 meters. It has 13 paintings and drawings consisting of mainly flora or nature hanging on it's walls, which were made by stacking several logs on top of each other. 3 of these paintings however, lay on the lightish-brown wooden floor, which is covered up by a red and blue patterned carpet. One painting, depicting 3 brown cows eating at a sunny grass field, is on a brown canvas positioned to the northern-western center of Level 15663. Behind the canvas are 2 white and black doors put together, both being locked and made with what seems to be an anomalous form of steel. To the right of the canvas is a 2(two)feet high iron stool with a plush white cushion on top of it. Behind this chair is what is labelled as an "art desk"; an desk with crumpled blank paper, 2 tins of paintbrushes, 1 tin of pencils and markers, and 1 paper towel. To the left of the canvas, however, is what appears to be a table with a white curtain placed over it. 2 of the 13 paintings in this level are leaning on it. There are also 4 kid's picture books placed on the table. Taking off the books and unraveling the curtain reveals the table to be a wooden bench with "BE PRODUCTIVE AND MAKE MONEY" sloppily engraved into it. There are many burn marks around and on this engraving, and with the sloppy handwriting, makes this engraving look more like "B PDUCIV AD A ONY" then "BE PRODUCTIVE AND MAKE MONEY". When one enters this level, the door behind them will automatically lock. If they enter the level by going into the 2 doors behind the canvas, the doors will automatically close and lock with no regards to who may be still walking in. After the doors close, the average person will begin to have thoughts and desires of making and creating "art", "doodles", "drawings", "sketches", "sculptures", "clay", 2-3 seconds after entering and will verbalize these desires, even if no one is around to listen. Explorers who had a past history of making art/have an interest in making art will have 3 times more of these thoughts then an Explorer who had no prior history creating art or participating in the art industry.

If you give in to these thoughts, you will most likely go and sit down at the white chair, put the painting down, get another blank canvas, and start creating. As the subject sits on the chair and looks at the blank canvas, they will report feeling "highly creative" and most of the time, begin drawing and painting instantly. Out of 2 visits to this level by M.E.G, both visits had the subject create paintings depicting/consisting of nature. When an subject finishes their painting, one of the lights above them will flash briefly. During this period, a low-pitched male voice will say "Do another one." However, the voice has been reported as going silent 50% of the time when someone with no prior history involving art finishes a painting/drawing.

However, after the subject finishes one drawing/painting, the doors will still be locked. It appears that you cannot exit Level 15663 unless you do as the voice says and complete 'another one'. The average subject will be eager and enthusiastic to complete another painting, and commence the completion. However, unlike the prior painting, which is done with no interruptions, the same male voice will interrupt the subject sometimes just to insult them or heckle them over their art. (All lines the male voice has said is recorded in the 'Voicelines' section.) During these periods, the subject will report feeling discouraged, but still optimistic about their future prospects anyway. The subjects thoughts during the second painting will bicker and argue more with the subject, saying things such as "That painting is horrible." and "Throw that out, it's disgusting." However, after the subject completes the second painting, 2 out of 6 lights in the level will flash briefly. The same male voice from before will comment on how stupid/ugly the subjects painting looks. However, there has been one consistent thing the male voice has said to all humans in the level during this phase: "Make money."

After the voices comment, the average subject will tank emotionally. The subject will report art block, demotivation, feelings of nausea and anxiety, and sometimes even suicidal urges. They will most of the time, not complete Painting 3 and instead stay idle on the chair. If they do complete Painting 3, the painting most of the time will have no color and only be illegible scribbles in pencil, or even just be a blank canvas with one non-visible fingerprint on it if the subject is demotivated enough. After this, 3 of 6 lights will flash, but then turn off in silence. After this period, the average subject will simply stay in the chair, and do nothing. They will not talk or move. During this period, a ticking from a clock will also be heard, even though there are no clocks in Level 15663. After 2-3 days on average, the subject will step off the chair, and instantly collapse. (The subjects tested for this level have always stepped off the chair when the clock stops ticking.). The subject will have no pulse or heartbeat. While Level 15663 is normally, in complete silence after a victim dies, some M.E.G agents within the room have reported hearing a male voice go "Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha." repetitively at 11 dB on average.

Autopsies on the corpses from Level 15663 are almost always underweight for their age. The skinniest corpse to be rolled out from Level 15663 was 5'6 and 30 pounds/13 kilograms. The corpses also have incredibly stiff skin. A simple pinch will cause the skin to not go down, but instead to stay up in the same position it was forced into for 5 minutes on average.

Colonies and Outposts

Due to the timed and ritualistic nature of this level, there are no colonies or outposts.

Exits and Entrances

Entrances

  • There is a tiny pit behind a bush with gray fruits in Level 15662. If you go into the pit and climb all 20 steps down, you will go below into a black void with 2 iron doors. Opening the iron doors will have you enter Level 15663.
  • Fall unconscious in Level 15661.(A very easy thing to do.)You will wake up in Level 15663.
  • Tip over a chair in Level 380.

Exits

  • Complete all 6 paintings. (This isn't impossible, but if you're the sensitive type, it's going to be hard.)

There are no other confirmed exits.

Extra Information

  • Trying to bring in a weapon/item that melts down or otherwise get rid of solids/hard surfaces with you to Level 15663 will have the weapon melt into a puddle upon entry. This may be why the floor of Level 15663 is light brown: because many Backrooms weapons are well.. brown.
  • The voice recites the same voice-lines every time a subject completes a painting. While it may go silent sometimes, and maybe blurt something out of the ordinary, the voice has been confirmed to not sapient or aware as of 2021. The voice may be communicating through an hidden intercom, but where this intercom is and if it even exists is unknown.
  • If you bring in your own sketchbook/drawing equipment, the voice will stay silent the entire time. However, subjects that brought in their own drawing equipment reported excruciating migraines, intense back pain, phantom paralysis, and even complete vision loss if the subject stays too long(more than 1 day)
  • The voice has a differentiating accent depending on who visits, but most of the time, the accent is Russian, Chinese, or if American, New York, Californian, Texan, or Floridan. The voice may change its accent depending on what country/state the subject visiting dislikes the most.
  • There are unconfirmed theories that Level 156633 is it's own telepathic entity with it's own voice, which is how it just knows about your art-related shenanigans.
  • Unlike in most levels, you can die of starvation and dehydration. Most of the time, one would die even faster from hunger(1-3 days)than in the Frontrooms(3 weeks)
  • All electronic devices brought into Level 156633 work at first(with no internet connection or any WiFi) but after Phase 3, will automatically shut down and not turn back on. it is unknown what exactly happens to the electronic devices after all 6 paintings are completed.

*Since this level was very recently discovered and logged into the Backrooms database, we have not calculated what chances there are exactly of getting these phrases. And since the Ethics Committee exists, we won't be able to for a loooong time. But we don't do things officially.
