Level 163 is the 97th level of the Backrooms

Description

Surreal

Level 163, otherwise known as the "Butterfly Effect", takes an appearance of an extensive series of corresponding rooms with has walls, pillars, and hallways which make up an infinitely-sized disjoint maze. The rooms vary in sizes and shapes, ranging from empty expansive warehouse-like rooms to a claustrophobic tunnel. The walls, pillars, roof, and the floor are constructed with the same turquoise wallpaper. Light in the complex of Level 163 originates from windows that outlooks a solid white sky which if directly stared at, will temporarily blind one.

Architecture of the rooms of Level 163 is strict in nature and persistent throughout the level. Its purpose for anything is either long gone or incomprehensively hard to determine. Some theorized the objective of the rooms' are for being an escape room, but it is abnormally simple, bland. and overall enormous to serve as an escape room. Space in Level 163 is constantly adjusted significantly, meaning one can turn in an opposite direction, and the wall behind them will abruptly disappear.

Random objects ranging in shape and size can appear on the floor. It can be a supply of Almond Water, or a useless object such as a feather or a piece of paper.

Melancholy vintage music from the 1900's can be heard throughout Level 163. It is unknown who or what is playing the music, but some reported to had determined the source of the music, which is the roof. Sound in Level 163 is exceedingly echoed, most likely due to the walls constructed with a material which reflects all sound waves. The effect can occasionally cause a small earthquake with a magnitude of 4 due to the sheer loudness of the echo. Constant echoes of screaming, screeching, and splashes can be heard, most likely made by Wanderers who are stuck in Level 163.

Pools

Some areas of Level 163 is flooded with clear, fresh, distilled water which can be consumed. These areas are presumed to be the source of echoes of splashing water. The temperature and height of the water in these areas remain constant.

The Butterfly Effect

Level 163 has a unique property in which one's actions can severely alter the reality of Level 163 and their future. An example is if one turns left instead of right, the level will suddenly collapse on itself. The simplest decisions can lead to one to the exit to the Frontrooms, or a fate worse than death. Reading a book may release information that can affect the Backrooms and other universes in a drastic way, or it may lead to a discovery of a new level.

Colonies & Outposts

Multiple attempts on establishing a colony had been proven unsuccessful or even fatal.

Entities

There are no known entities inside Level 163. It is assumed the windows in Level 163 are the Windows that can be found in Level 4 and Level 188, but this is still unconfirmed.

Entrances & Exits

Entrances

The only known exit is to noclip through everything on Level 94 will very rarely lead one to Level 95.

Exits

Exiting Level 163 is incredibly difficult to do due to the nature of the level itself, as every action can lead to one exiting the level, or having to wander its compounds forever.
