Description

Photo of one of the "British" sectors of Level 1914, after heavy entity casualties.

Level 1914 is a level full of an infinite layer of dirt and mud, with craters and dug-in trenches from the entities that live within the area, and light from the constant "sunlight" beaming at the level. Any buildings in the area are either bombed-out houses, or entity-made bunkers. Maps are hard to keep accurate as entities constantly dig new trenches.

The trenches in this area consist of a 5-7 feet deep area followed by supports on either side such as wood logs or pieces of metal and fortifications such as barbed wire or sandbags on the top of each trench. Trenches are even more fortified near the frontlines, and less at the other lines. Frontlines may have concrete bunkers as well, and in the "no man's land" between trenches, destroyed buildings and houses may be found. Almond water may be found in bunkers in the form of military rations, often labeled "STANDARD SOLDIER HYDRATION RATION" or the German equivalent, "STANDARD-SOLDATEN-TRINKVERHÄLTNIS"

This level has unusual effects on most modern technology, as most modern cameras will either fail to function or produce a completely black and white image, and modern computers or phones will break completely until exit. Any modern firearms will jam after a couple shots, or will be strictly set to semi-auto until you exit. The only exception to the firearm rule is with bolt-actions.

Colonies and Outposts

Colonies and outposts in Level 1914 are extremely hard to keep, as entity crossfire will destroy most if not all within days or even hours, although few have survived for months via underground shelters, however, entity shelling can destroy the roofs of these.

Entities

Skeletons

"German" skeleton after being shot by enemy machine gun.

The only entities in this level are skeletons, that being sentient and able to talk fluent English or German. It is unknown how their joints are connected however, as they have no flesh or connecting structure in-between their joints. Their side is only marked by the type of helmet they wear, such as a pickelhaube for the "German" side or a brodie for the "British", and the type of firearm they use. These entities are neutral toward humans, and even friendly sometimes. However, any attempt to kill them will lead to them firing at you, regardless of side. Skeletons noticing any other skeleton without their side's hat will automatically engage in battle against the other entity, using trench tactics. Skeletons will not care if any of their weapons hit a human, so it is advised to stay away from active conflict zones. These entities can "die", after being hit by any bullet, but will revive after 48 hours, effectively keeping the battle infinite. These entities are theorized to be former soldiers from World War One who noclipped into the backrooms, as they do carry memories similar to a person living in the 1900s.

Skeletons have a multitude of weaponry, such as basic rifles and sidearms, artillery, chemical weapons, and even tanks in some cases. These weapons, along with their ammunition can be carried into other levels if on the person while exiting, thus making this an easy level to acquire weapons from.

Very rarely, French, Austro-Hungarian, Turkish, Russian, and American variants of these soldiers can be found. Austro-Hungarian and Turkish variants will ally with German soldiers. French, American, and Russian variants will ally with British troops. All of these variants will speak their respective languages, however, allied entities will understand their words no matter what language they speak.
