Level 1969 is the 1970th Level of the Backrooms. It is called "The Cosmic View"
Contents
General Description
Level 1969 or "The Cosmic View" is a Level that we do not know all about, it is a huge Level with multiple Sub-Layers of which we get new informations pretty much every day. This Level is pretty hard to survive due to it mostly happening in places with little to no oxygen, where you will need space suits and oxygen bottles to survive, about entities, they are very rare and can be found only in specific Sub-Layers.
Sub-Layer 0: The white window
Difficulty:
- Survival Difficulty: Class #3
- Unsafe
- Unsecure
- Devoid of Entities
Description:
Picture of Back-1969A, picture took from the window of Sub-Layer 0
Picture of a hallway of the Space-Station.
The first Sub-Layer of Level 1969 which is called "The white window" happens in a giant space-station orbiting an unknown planet, every time you no-clip in Level 1969, you will spawn in-front of a huge window and in the distance, you will see a planet which seem to have been destroyed by a sort of nuclear war and is impossible of access. The thing that tell us this planet has been destroyed by a nuclear war, are all the ruins we can see by bringing in a strong enough telescope to see what's on the surface. This planet is called "Back-1969A"
Back to the Station itself, the station pretty much looks like the international space station, except from some details, first of all it has a huge, like very huge size, we don't know the exact size but it is said to be in millions of kilometers, which is pretty weird since it feels like orbiting the planet, anyways. When you enter Level 1969, you will need luck, has the oxygen re-fill every 5 hours, and this for 2 hours, which mean that there is a period of 3 hours where you will need a space-suit with enough oxygen bottles to survive, for indication, it fills at 7am, and so you do the calculation. If you come in this Level without a space suit and that the oxygen will soon run out, don't worry, has there are plenty of rooms where you can find space suits and oxygen bottles, just be sure to know how to equip a suit.
This Sub-Layer is completly devoid of any entity, the most dangerous part about it is the lack of oxygen and the gravity which can cause long term problems. Sanity can drop pretty fastly on this Sub-Layer, and Almond Water is very rare, so take some with you before entering this Level.
In this Sub-Layer, you will also be able to find special rooms, like the Destroyed ones, which are... well... destroyed rooms. These are probably destroyed by comets, but this is still to be proven, so obviously be aware when you open a door, because if you open the wrong one, you will be dead by the infinite cosmos, There also are rooms without lights, again, no entity, but the sanity drops more there. Finally, there is what we call the "Dead Elevator" which is a sort of trap where, if you get in this elevator/room, you will fall in the infinite cosmos, someone has said he entered the planet Back-1969A with this method, but this is not proven at the moment.
- No colony, outpost or entity has been discovered in this Sub-Layer.
To exit Sub-Layer 0, you need to get a space-suit and open a door which will lead you to the space and a bunch of Solar-Panels, doing this method while attached to the space-station will lead you after 5 minutes to Sub-Layer 1.
Sub-Layer 1: Golden Skies
Difficulty:
- Survival Difficulty: Class #3
- Unsafe
- Unsecure
- Medium Entity Count
Description:
Picture of Back-1969B's crater called "BC-1969B0"
Sub-Layer 1 or called "Golden Skies" will start by you waking up in a random place of what is called "BC-1969B0", this crater does 100 kilometers of diameter and happens to be on a planet which is called "Back-1969B". We don't know the true size of this planet has trying to escape the crater will result in any person dying from the acid rains and the immensely high temperature that this planet contain (Around 200°C).
The sky of this planet is obviously yellow has the name of the Sub-Layer says, and the ground is made of brownish stone which seems to be a little radioactive at some points of the crater. The planet itself seem foggy when you look at some distance, the cause if this is unknown. You are able to breath without a space suit here, although it should be noted that the composition of the atmosphere isn't the same here than on earth. (25% oxygen, 73% nitrogen and 2% of misc gazes.)
In this crater, you can also find things such as small mountains, but also ruins of an unknown civilisation like small destroyed buildings and shapes on the ground, you can also find lakes sometimes, one is notably known for being full of Liquid Pain, it is unknown how this happened, yet a whole lake of this terrible substance is there, do not go into it. In some destroyed buildings, you can also find papers which shows unknown alphabet, these seem a bit rare. Finally, there are caves which lead to underground zones that are absolutely gigantic, do not try to go there has it is pretty much useless and these areas have alot of entities, mostly Skin-Stealers and some Smilers. Talking about entities, there are some on the surface, they seem rare and it is mostly Hounds with a very few Skin-Stealers.
In order to leave this Sub-Layer, you will have to jump into a huge pit of unknown size that can be found at the center of the crater, after a time that varies between 6-34 hours, you will wake up at Sub-Layer 3.
The Golden People
- The Golden People is a group of people which have 3 outposts, one near the Liquid Pain lake, one at the very south of the crater and one at the North-East of the crater.
- The Golden People's goal is to discover the secrets of BC-1969B0 and Back-1969B itself, they also want to create a whole village on BC-1969B0 to create a civilisation on this Level.
- They are friendly and willing to trade.
Sub-Layer 2: Pits of hell
Difficulty:
- Survival Difficulty: Class #5
- Unsafe
- Unsecure
- Minimal Entity Count
Description:
Sub-Layer 2 happens on the same planet has Sub-Layer 1, but this time in the very deep undegrounds, more precisely 34 kilometers below surface. The temperature here goes from 45°C to 650°C which is obviously enormous, to survive here you will need to fall at the right place of the pit that made you go in this Sub-Layer, more precisely at the far east of the hole, since at this place, the temperature conditions varies from 45°C to 52°C, which is pretty unpleasant but can still accept life.
The cavern itself is almost devoid of entities due to the extreme heat, but some of them created a temperature protection, which made them stronger physically and are much stronger, so be very aware if you see any of these creatures, creatures which are Deathmoths.
The cavern itself is pretty dangerous as well, it has alot of colours due to the weird gems and plants that can be found here, the minerals that does blue colours lights have extreme radioactivity, while the orange/red/yellow lights have extreme temperatures, even in the discovered 30 kilometers of 45°C-52°C, these minerals with these colours can create heat that varies from 130°C to 155°C. There are also other colorful lights in the caves, but these doesn't seem to do any effect on the human organism. Except for the green lights which we will talk a bit more about later. Absolutely no item can be found in Sub-Layer 2 and your sanity may drop if you don't pay attention to your condition, it is recommended to take Almond Water before going here. Pictures of Sub-Layer 2 are impossible due an unknown effect causing all electronics to stop functionning, but it is theorized it may be due to one of the many ores with lights that can be seen lurking in the caves.
Finding a huge gate made of Green Crystals with green lights will lead you to Sub-Layer 3.
The Golden People
- The Golden People also has a outpost here at the entrance of Sub-Layer 3, their goal is to find a way to get back to the surface and help people escape this hell.
Entrances & Exits
- Entrances: W.I.P
- Exits: Although unconfirmed, going in the Dead Elevator of Sub-Layer 0 and having the chance to land on the planet Back-1969A could teleport you to Level 10, this is not confirmed.
(The Level's creation is still not finished, it may be finished in some days, a week maybe.)
