Description
This level is also known as the "Neon world". Level 1985 appears to be a parking lot at around 1 am. The street lamps are suprisingly bright and starting at them for too long can cause permanent eye damage. The parking lot appears to extend outwards forever.
A couple shopping malls from the 80s can be found around 2 kilometers from the start of the level and are visible in the distance. These malls are usually empty but may have pallets and other important materials inside.
Sometimes you can find abandoned cars and trucks all with models from the 80s. Every hour or so a clocktower chime can be heard in the distance across the entire level. Food is only obtained by breaking into cars, all expiration dates say 21 Oct. 2015 even though all food products are from the 80s.
Entities
Entities can appear anywhere in the Level but mostly appear around abandoned cars and broken street lamps. These entities consist of : Smilers, Insanities, and Male Deathmoths (Luckily no female deathmoths have been found yet.)
There are also 1 unique entity in this level.
The Timer
The " Timer" is an entity that at first glance appears to be an ordinary red alarm clock. The amount of time left in the clock is always 5 minutes. It is usually found inside cars and set up on the dashboard.
It is recommended not to change the amount of time as it causes loud distorted screeches to come from the clock and may attract nearby entities. It is also recommended not to be within 5 miles of the clock when the timer goes off as when it reaches 0 the "Timer" is awoken.
The true form of The Timer cannot be described but reports say it is about 7 feet tall and weighs somewhere between 230-500 kilograms and in a humanoid shape. Its body is mainly brown with slight pieces of torn jackets appearing to grow from the skin itself, the head is a large clock that has no hands inside of it. The creature has long claw-like hands that can tear people apart.
About 12 people have died due to this entity. No recorded images or videos of it have ever been found.
Colonies and Outposts
The Roamers
The Roamers are the only known group of about 23 people that have a bas made up of car parts and walls from the shopping malls. They are mostly nice and willing to trade as long as you acknowledge their group.
Entrances and Exits
The only entrance to Level 1985 is through Level 1984 where you have to noclip through any walls that have the number 1985 on them although this is very rare.
Only one exit is known and that is noclipping through a wall in a Store that brings you to Level 9.
