Description

The first ever photograph of Level 1, at the entrance. Taken in 6/26/1993.

Level 1 is a large underground soviet town from the 1940's featuring concrete walls and floors. The underground buildings are pure concrete construction, being made in the brutalist style, and have no windows. Inside of these 'buildings' house crates and cardboard boxes containing Almond water, different types of food, medical supplies, ect. Pipes are rarely found on the floor containing heated, almond water from an unknown source. With this, it seems that Level 1 is connected to Level 2 with that level being below Level 1. This level's installed fluorescent lights will flicker more often than Level 0, and can shut off for minutes to hours at a time. Because of this, this makes Level 1 a moderately dangerous level. Not only is it dangerous in the dark areas, but more Entities reside in the darkness. It is rumored that Level 1 has a day/night cycle.

The center of Level 1 has more exits, houses more supplies and is lit up more and is nearly devoid of entities. Extreme caution is advised due to large, dangerous rock bursts, any rumblings heard of felt by the presence of these hazards, evacuate the area immediately. But these only happen at the near-center of Level 1. There are 4 recorded elevators in the center area of this level, which will be explained further down.

Level 1 is also the home for The Hub.

Entrances

There are 4 known ways to enter Level 1.

  • Surviving Level 0 for a certain 4 days will cause hatches to appear on the carpeted floor which will lead to Level 1.
  • It is also possible, but rare, to find a fire exit in Level 0 that leads to Level 1, but this is unpredictable too.
  • Finding the 'real' exit in Level 1.5 will lead you to Level 1.
  • Entering the correct number on the number pad in Level 1051 leads to Level 1.

Exits

There are 6 known ways to exit Level 1.

  • Traveling far enough from Level 1's entrance will lead to a staircase that will descend to Level 2.
  • Breaking a cracked floor will result in you to randomly noclip and be transported to a room with a cracked floor in Level 0, where you can then go to Level 27.
  • Additionally as a rare occurrence, whenever you fall asleep you may wake up in [DATA DELETED]
  • Interacting with a black doll will transport you to Level 7453.
  • The Hub can also be accessed from Level 1 by noclipping methods, but wanderers have reported going inside from Level 0.
  • There are 4 known elevators in the center of Level 1 which will lead deep into Level 3. But this is strongly unadvised to never enter Level 3 due to the nature of it.
