Description

Level 203 is a dimly lit, dangerous level that takes the appearance of an average suburban grocery store who's size has yet to be determined, but has been miles documented as going on for hundred of miles.

The shelves are packed with canned food, cereal boxes, and everything else you'd expect from your average supermarket. As you venture further into the level the amount of food gradually decreases, along with the quality of it. Further in, you'll sometimes you'll find collapsed shelves in the middle of aisle, and entire sections of the level are completely devoid of shelves. Even further in, you'll find something far worse than anything you could have imagined.

Entities

Hordes

Starting at about 20 miles into the level, large hordes made up of anywhere from 50 to 200 entities commonly roam about, leaving a path of destruction wherever they pass. Entities reported to be part of these hordes include Facelings, Hounds, Lighters, Skin-Stealers, Scratchers, Smilers, Dullers, Clumps, Death Moths, Crawlers, Sixarms and Bursters. They will shamble across the level in huge hordes and cause absolute pandemonium, shattering the dead silence present throughout the level as they knock over entire aisles with their haphazard movements. They will arrive in an area and stampede and destroy shelves and attack anything they see before trudging off to some other section of the level.

Attacks by these hordes generally last only 5 minutes, as after that point the entities will began to dissipate in different directions, allowing anyone still clinging to life after the assault to escape. These hordes can also come your way if you stay in an aisle for too long, or if you make a loud enough noise, like using a firearm. The best way to tell if they're coming is the distant sound of collapsing shelves and sheer and utter destruction. Despite it's dangerous reputation, this level is also known to possess Wi-Fi hot spots all around, in no specific pattern. This has led some to form makeshift colonies within the level in order to access these valuable wifi hotspots, and a high amount of wanderers armed with firearms are known to exist here.

Colonies & Outposts

This level has a main large colony at spawn and 2 large outposts stationed at wifi hot spots further into the level.

Central Food Market

Central Food Market was the first group to be founded on this Level, and is located at spawn, where the largest Wifi Hotspot on this level can be found. Due to it's wifi access, this Colony has gained notable influence within the Backrooms, and regularly trades and engages with other notable groups including the Major Explorer Group, the Backroom Colonists and the Commercium Foundation.

Additional Information:

  • Has a population of over 4,500 civilians and an army with over 1,000 armed members.
  • Has around 1800 rifles, 1800 machine guns, 300 grenades, and over 100 flashbangs along with a number of other explosives.
  • Has ample quantities of Almond Water along with food and other beverages.
  • Has survived 11 Horde attacks.
  • Has not suffered a Horde attack in 5 years.

Outpost Dimkart

Outpost Dimkart is a relatively new, albeit large, outpost only officially established as an independant colony on June the 17th, 2021 after the discovery of a Wifi Hotspot 55 miles from spawn. Originally an outpost established by the Backroom Colonists, this outpost was quickly taken over by survivors of 2 fallen splinter colonies of Central Food Market, the now defunct GreensGrove and RedMart respectively. The military force of Outpost Dimkart is known to impose strict regulations on light and sound production within the colony in order to prevent attracting the massive hordes that roam this far into the Level. Light sources above 10 lux and sound above 25 decibels are forbidden outdoors, and firearms are only used as a last resort.

Additional Information:

  • Has a population of approximately 2,360 civilians and a standing army with 1,860 armed members.
  • Armed population largely made up of the GreensGrove and Redmart survivors, who usurped control of the colony on Jan 24, 2022.
  • Will go into a state of lockdown for 2 hours if a sound above 50 decibels is produced within the colony, and the culprit will be severely reprimanded.
  • Entire army is equipped with nocturnal vision goggles which enable them to see clearly in the dim lighting of Dimkart, giving them a strategic advantage against invading forces.
  • Uses an incredibly effective system of remotely activated sound traps to attract entity hordes and lure them away from the colony without endangering themselves or engaging in combat.

Entity Eradication

Entity Eradication is a highly trained armed force which has broken away from the Central Food Market army and formed its own colony somewhere 105 miles from spawn. Entity Eradication has since recruited members from various regions of the Backrooms, and have made it their mission to eradicate all the hostile entities within Level 203, or at least push them back farther and bring the level's survival difficulty down to 2, so that the level may be used as a Wifi Hub.

  • Colony is comprised entirely by a total of 1,682 armed personnel recruited from various levels of the Backrooms.
  • Has huge stockpiles of military grade weaponry and heavy artillery which is uses to eradicate entire entity hordes and push its influence farther into Level 203.
  • Receives assistance from the level's other outposts in exchange for protection.
  • Has the 2nd largest wifi hub on Level 203.
