Level 204 resembles an abandoned school with brick walls and metal lockers. The ceiling is white and made of an unknown material resembling talc in chemical composition. The floor is made of a brown wood that does not match any known species of tree in the Frontrooms. There are holes in the walls which lead to different areas in the level, and where the hole might lead for one item will lead somewhere else for another. Holes have even been known to lead to different levels. Very few lights are working here, and the ones that are flicker on and off. The lockers can be opened and some may have flashlights. However, these flashlights may or may not have functioning batteries in them.
Level 204.
Due to the level's layout constantly changing, this level cannot be reliably mapped. There are various doors along the halls, but they tend to either be locked or fused to the walls. The doors that are unlocked typically lead to another hallway. However, there is a small chance a door will lead to a gymnasium, but the entrance will close behind anyone who enters the room. The entrance to the gym will not lock, however. The gym is full of basketballs that are far too heavy to lift even though they appear to be made of rubber.
One of the most distinguishing properties of this level is that it has properties that completely deprives wanderers of hearing. While this deafness lasts as long as a wanderer is in the level, speech is completely unreliable because of it. As a result, wanderers are often forced to resort to writing notes and lipreading just to communicate with each other.
Survival Tips
To survive in level 204, it is recommended that:
You find a flashlight as soon as possible.
Only jump into a hole in the wall as a last resort.
Do not provoke the students.
Entities
Students
Students are a rare sight in this level, but they have the potential to be dangerous if encountered. They typically appear as children from ages 4 to 12. Their faces lack any features, but some wanderers have drawn faces on them with markers. They vary in gender and height, and are placid and even friendly towards wanderers unless provoked. If provoked, a student will attack in retaliation. It is unwise to attack them, as they are far stronger than any normal human and these fights can even end in death for wanderers who attack them. The main goal of an attacked student is to restrain and calm down their attacker instead of injuring them. If their attacker is successfully restrained and calmed, the student will leave. However, if their attacker is accidentally killed, the student will drag the corpse to a locker, stuff the carcass into it and leave it there to fester. Students will also do this for any corpse they come across, and some have theorized that this behavior is an act of respect to the departed.
Colonies and Outposts
M.E.G Base 204
M.E.G. has a base in level 204, but very few people know where it is. Because of the ever changing layout of level 204, the base has never been found by other wanderers.
