Surreal desert-modified

Level 206 (a.k.a. Mirage Violet) is an echo. This enchanting and surreal forest consists of a grove of naked ebony trees and piercing violet grasses, herbs, and weeds. Three ominous moons overlook this cosmic acid bath of a horizon. The stars... ils brillent si fort. This 'rêver' is consistently midnight and constantly late summer. The temperature is a pervasively pleasant 81°F (~27.2°C). Your visage will be graced with a gentle zephyr. There are no animals or entities here. Just you, me, and the constellations!!

Quoi?

Oh...! You want to know what those are. Those are Reflets Noirs. 'Reflets Noirs' are several ~29.5 in (75 cm), clear, 'crystal' orbs that can be found aimlessly drifting around the canopy floor of Mirage Violet. The lowest height of these floating globes is 2 ft (~0.6 m) from the ground, while their highest height of levitation is 10 ft (~3.0m). What type of crystal are they!? They really are not crystals... They are 'Larmes into Another World'. They are pocket dimensions that consist of the other anomalous regions that exist in Level 206.

You seem interested...

No clip these curious spheres to explore the following...

Oh...right... right... I am certain you have noticed, at this point, that any supplies, weapons, resources, or food items you brought in with you have suddenly vanish upon entering this level. You will not get any of these items back. Why or how your supplies disappear is unknown. You small, creatures, express distress, frustration, anger, and anxiety upon finding your resources gone. Fret not! I am here to assist you. If you survive the journey, I will make sure you do not leave empty-handed.

Perdu pour ne pas être retrouvé

Forgot forest -222-crop circle
Image Caption #1
This photo of Level 206, taken by an anonymous wanderer, T.Y., shows the boreal woodland of Perdu pour ne pas être retrouvé. While this image was retrieved from this pocket dimension, wanderer T.Y. is presumed forsaken or dead.

Description: Perdu pour ne pas être retrouvé

Perdu pour ne pas être retrouvé are several pocket dimensions that randomly appear and disappear in Level 206. How long they linger in 'reality' cannot be confirmed. It is not known if the same cluster of 'dimensions' pop out and into existence or the reality 'dies' and is being replaced with a new one. I do not know the answer to that... That is for you to ponder. As I was saying... These 'realities' appear to a be a dark, silent, boreal forest of undetermined acreage. The season in this 'world' is mid-summer. The time of day or night cannot be confirmed. The temperature in those spaces is a chilly and damp 42°F (~5.6°C). No sounds emit from these woods. No wanderers or operatives can tell you what entities lurk there or what environmental hazards to anticipate. Anyone or anything that enters or gets trapped in these woods vanish. All rescue attempts for wanderers and operatives have failed.

There is a way out of them. You do not want to know where you will end up. Wherever you end is much worse. If you were ever trapped in them, you should stay in them. Croyez-moi...Oui?

I will warn you now... The majority of pocket dimensions you will encounter in this reality are these. I would tell you how to avoid interacting with them, but I do not know. All Reflets Noirs look like the same balls of 'crystal' on the outside. So... no-clip with care.

Thus far, these pockets of boreal forest have claimed 54 wanderers.

Lac thermal inverse

(Translation: Inverted Thermal Lake)
Inverted lake -222-modified
Image Caption #2
This photo of Level 206 shows the thermal woodlands that surround the boiling lakes of the Lac thermal inverse. This photo was acquired by anomalous means.

Description: Lac thermal inverse

Lac thermal inverse is several pockets of boiling Cashew Water and Rose Water scattered across this 'dimension'. These boiling bodies of anomalous water are surrounded by surreal thermal woodland. The thermal woods extend away from these boiling lakes for about 5 mi to 15 mi (~8.0 km to 24.1 km). There is no season in this environment. Unless you consider h*ll a season... Then by all means, the season in this region is the under area of Lucifer's right ball sack. There is not a day/night cycle here, unless you consider infrared a 'time' of day or night. The temperature of these areas can get up to 100⁰F - 460⁰F (~37.8⁰C - 237.8⁰C). I will mention that the area around these lakes fluctuates and take the temperature with it. You might not know if you are within the kill zone of these lakes until you suddenly have 6th-degree burns on one side of your body. If this happens to you, of course, you will not have long to suffer.

The only known entities that are founded near these areas are Lighters. I will warn you that the Lighters here have been known to mesmerize wanderers into staring blankly at them. How these Lighters do this is not known, but most wanderers end up permanently blind. Three wanderers, this one time, got too close to them, and they were incinerated.

Thus far, this location has claimed 77 wanderers.

Tourbière d'agonie

Surreal Bog -222-modified
Image Caption #3
This photo of Level 206 shows the Tourbière d'agonie. This photo was removed from wanderer G.I.'s corpse by Amara. Amara reportedly gave this photo to wanderer K.Y.

Description: Tourbière d'agonie

Tourbière d'agonie is an infinite stretch of moist, stinking bog consisting of boiling water, Liquid Pain, tar, liquid fire, and in some places, fluoroantimonic acid. The season is described best as the border outside of hell during late fall. This area is perpetually in the state of mid-evening. The temperature of this area can get up to 80⁰F - 240⁰F (~26.7⁰C - 115.6⁰C). Not as hot as Lac thermal inverse but hot enough for you to die from a heat stroke or get burnt. There is not much to this location. I would not traverse this place unless I was forced to do so. However... I will not discourage you if exploration is what you desire. Feel free to explore this area if your curiosity gets the better of you. I heard from other wanderers that you will start to hallucinate about nicer places while exploring this area. I recommend that you relax. Do not think about it too much... if and when this happens, of course. Tout sera bientôt fini.

Thus far, this bog has claimed 115 wanderers.

Toundra abandonnée au crépuscule

Frozen tundra -222-modified
Image Caption #4
This photo of Level 206 shows the Toundra abandonnée au crépuscule. This photo was found by wanderer U.T. who perished in this location. This photo was found by Amara who later gave this picture to M.E.G. Level Assessor and Appraiser, George R. Brown.

Description: Toundra abandonnée au crépuscule

Toundra abandonnée au crépuscule resembles the Tundra with copious amounts of snow. The snow coverage in this area can be between 2.5 ft - 6.75 ft (~0.8 m to 2.1 m). The season in this 'reality' is a perpetually frigid winter. The time of day is a chronic twilight. The temperatures can drop between -170⁰F to 17⁰F (-112.2⁰C to -8.3⁰C). Do not bother exploring here. Hypothermia will claim you in minutes, if you do not have the proper winter gear and attire to traverse this terrain. There are artic smilers that inhabitant this location that will pick at your frozen corpse or try to make you into a corpse.

This place has claimed many. Je pourrais te laisser mourir ici...

Miroirs du désert

(Translation: Desert mirrors)
Surreal desert-modified
Image Caption #5
This photo of Level 206 shows the Miroirs du désert. This photo features an unknown explorer traversing this curious desert. This photo was taken by Amara for reasons unknown. Amara claims he does not know what happened to this explorer.

Description: Miroirs du désert

Miroirs du désert is an undetermined stretch of desert consisting of porcelain white sands, a narrow black and white checker pathway, and a few trees that favor African Acacias. The horizon consists of clear blue skies and a wheel of glittering and iridescent rainbow clouds. The season is mid-spring. This area is perpetually in the state of high noon. The temperature of this area can get up to 99⁰F - 137⁰F (~32.7⁰C - 58.3⁰C).Most people die here... Victims are claimed by stalking desert Hounds, the perpetual heat, following the checker road... I cannot seem to convince people to not follow it... Anyway..., and the mirages. The mirages tend to mislead people by creating hallucinations of small bodies of water, or people or entities walking in the distance. Explorers have gotten lost in this desert searching for, pursuing after, or fleeing away from things that are not.

J'aime vous regarder, créatures, lutter pour survivre. Votre esprit durable est ce qui m'intrigue.

Thus far, this desert has claimed 149 wanderers.

Bosquet de récolte

(Translation: Reaping Grove)
Grove of weeping trees -222-modified
Image Caption #6
This photo of Level 206 shows a group of Reaping Willows watching a wanderer take pictures of them in Bosquet de récolte. This photo was taken by wanderer Q.T. Q.T. is... one with the trees.I do not understand why everything must be documented. Stopping to take pictures and write sh*t is why most of you end up dead.

Description: Bosquet de récolte

The Bosquet de récolte is of undetermined acreage consisting of non-anomalous and anomalous trees. Tucked away in this woodland paradise are several glittering bodies of water. Hello?? The temperature is a cozy 70⁰F (~21.1⁰C) during the day and a brisk 50⁰F (10⁰C) at night. The breezy is cool. Not a cloud in the sunny, crisp blue sky. Gary!?? The lush grass is emerald, green. The ruby roses and begonias are blooming. The sparrows are singing. A few mule deer can be seen frolicking in a nearby meadow. A swallowtail is eating your finger… let’s cut to the chase! OH! SH*T!!

You are already dead! Did you seriously think by avoiding Level -120, you, Gary, would escape us? The seeds of the Reaping Willow have been dispersed far and wide. It is only a matter of time before we consume you all, and you all become one with the trees!!

Nous avions un accord!!

Let me have them, Amara!!

Celui-ci est à moi! Vous pouvez avoir le prochain!!

We are leaving now! Relax, Gary! I got you away from her! You are not dead... Je ne te laisserai pas encore mourir...

Reaping Willows

Uh...? Yes! That was one of many Reaping Willows that reside in Bosquet de récolte.

The Reaping Willows (Genus Predatoridius) is a tree-like entity that mimics the appearances of non-anomalous weeping trees. These trees have completely infested Level -120. These tree-like entities have been dispersed to Level 206. It is rumored that the Malveillants might be aiding in their distribution. The Malveillants can safely eat the flesh fruit produced by these trees without experiencing any ill effects or being predated themselves.

These trees subdue prey by using hallucinogenic pollen, kairomones, and unique weapons. These trees are more effective in ambushing human prey in Level 206 as there are plenty of normal trees for them to hide amongst. The only indication that you might be in the presence of the Reaping Willow is finding mangled flesh and twisted bone scattered below a tree. However, most wanderers would assume this was done by some other creature and not a tree. There is no way of surviving a Reaping Willow attack. What you can do is avoid the Weeping Grove.

Yes...the Reaping Willow certainly has an impressive body count.

Conifères sanguins réfutés

Conifers refuted -222-modified
Image Caption #7
This photo of Level 206, taken [dried blood is covering the name] the grove of Conifères sanguins réfutés. This image was retrieved [dried blood and dirty is covering who retrieved this image].

Description: Conifères sanguins réfutés

Conifères sanguins réfutés is a ~3250-acre grove of anomalous species of pine trees called Pin de sang corrompu (Translation: Corrupt blood pine). These pine trees have blood-red bark, bearing crimson pine needles and harboring scarlet pinecones. These trees belong to the Malveillants. These trees are the remnants of who the Malveillants once were.

You stare at me! Why?

Trust is everything...remember. Oui?

Malveillant

The Malveillants are former Natives from Level -777 who harbor malicious intent or have done something malicious. Most of them will be sacrificed to The Void in a ritual called Sacrifice de sang au Vide. For their sins, they will suffer and linger in darkness for all eternity. Being offered to The Void, according to the Natives, is a merciful punishment for murders and the like. Malveillants who are hunted down and killed like animals are seen as cowards.

“P*ssy, you are. We spit on you! You took life like a warrior, but flee like a rat now that there is retribution for spilling innocent blood? The irony! Stop running, loathsome c*nt!! Your victims faced your blade and choked, surely you can face ours!! Die on the black mirror or die like an animal!”

Native Reaper, Touttanta

Some Malveillants “avoid” this punishment by sacrificing themselves to The Void, as fleeing is not an option. There is no honor in fleeing. Native combatants, hunters and reapers, and members of the Voidic Blade Runners will relentlessly pursue them with the intent to bring them to the scrying mirror or kill them. The Malveillants who offer themselves to The Void escape to find themselves in Level 206. Why they settled in this pocket dimension cannot be confirmed.

As stated in a ritual mentioned in Level -777 called Ligne de sang, the Native’s Pin goutte de sang writhes and dies when the Native does. The Malveillants who escaped The Void escaped death and, their pine appears here corrupt. The best way to survive the Conifères sanguins réfutés is to avoid this 'reality' if you can. The Malveillants of Level 206 is no longer under the watchful eyes of their people. They no longer conceal any demented tendencies they harbor. Some will happily kill one another or other entities, but most prefer to kill explorers for food or sport. ***malicious stare***

There have also been reports of a small group of 37 Malveillants trapping and kidnapping wanderers for purposes unknown. These Malveillants can be distinguished from the others. They sport scarlet and spiked collars with bells on them. Their English is more refined, and their mannerisms are more charming. They look pampered and spoiled but do not let this fool you. They do not mind getting their hands dirty. They will rip apart wanderers who resist capture. ***creepy smile***

If you hear any bells in Level 206, there is no use in running. ***flicks bell on collar mockingly***

I will assume you did not hear mine. It is okay. Thank you for trusting me...

I always give my victims a running start.

Colonies and Outposts

Due to the nature of this environment, colonies and outposts should be not established here.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Most wanderers cannot recall where they came from to get to here.
  • Entering one of the spare rooms in Level -404 will transport you here.
  • Offering yourself to The Void in Level -777 might result in you bypassing the The Void and entering in Level 206. (This has not been done by wanderers but in theory it could work.)

Exits

  • Fainting inside this level will transport you to Level 888.
  • Getting trapped then escaping Perdu pour ne pas être retrouvé will transport you to Level 6, 379, or The Void.
  • Letting your curiosity get the better of you in Tourbière d'agonie or getting lost in Bosquet de récolte will transport you to Level -120.
  • Being left for dead by Amara (or another of his kind) in Toundra abandonnée au crépuscule might transport you to Level -5.
