Description
Another image of Level 231 taken on an unknown floor.
Level 231 consists of an extensive house with a presumably infinite amount of floors, slightly differing in design. The architecture of this level resembles that of 70's-era design, with yellowing walls, beige carpets, and old wood. However, unlike Level 0, there is no audible light buzz or apparent mold. In the rooms that resemble a kitchen, you can find fresh and canned food, regular water, and almond water. It's rare to find food in any other room. Nevertheless, you can find useful objects in other rooms, like weapons, batteries, sources of light, electronics, clothes, etc. The higher is the floor you're in, the more rooms you can find on that floor, each one with its unique properties. Pioneers have experienced zero gravity, hot rooms (40 C°), cold rooms (13 C°), the ability to double jump, fly, the illusion of having one more arm or leg, etc.
The rooms can vary in color, size, content, and quantity of entities, but I will talk about the last one later. Since most of the rooms are very peaceful, some people stay there and create colonies, but many are unconfirmed as the floors are never-ending. As you go up the floors, you can see that a lot of "tourists" gave up on the lower floors, as food seem to be more available, there are fewer notes on the floor, the rooms are more conserved and the carpet is in better condition. Other theories suggest that there are fewer pieces of evidence of people on the upper levels because there are also more entities in the rooms.
More Information
- There are a lot of elements that share similarities with those found in The Frontrooms at this level. Around the 20th floor, you can see an old TV. On it, one can see diverse sports games, with a mediocre quality.
- It is theorized a long time ago, this level was raided by partygoers, because there are red stains on some floors that make a creepy smile, similar to the partygoer ones.
- You can see a lot of computers on this level on a lot of floors. However, none of them work. You can try to trade their components to the colonies on this level, but it isn't recommended.
- This level wasn't documented until some months ago, because most of the explorers who went on this level thought this was part of the other levels you can enter here, but once they realized they couldn't go out by the same place they went in, they knew that this was a new level.
Colonies and Outposts
The Great 21
- Inspired by The Great 101.
- As stated on the name, they always have 21 members, it doesn't matter if they need to kick one or someone joining it.
- Pretty friendly and open to trades, are allied with Republic of Level 153.
- They have a pretty big stock of food and almond water.
- All of their members are from different nationalities, so it is pretty easy for other explorers to communicate with them.
Rejecting Progress
- This colony consists of people that are too afraid to go to other levels.
- The number of members isn't constant, but it is always around 13 members.
- They don't have a lot of food and water, only the minimum to survive.
- The only thing they do is wander around the rooms on this level, trying to find real happiness.
- Somewhat friendly, but they don't trade because they don't have enough objects to trade.
Backroom Colonists
- This colony consists of people from the group that do not want to venture to other levels.
- It is always around 37 people.
- They have giant stocks of water, almond water and food, including other things from this level and Level 11.
- They usually wander, to claim more area and to trade with other wanderers.
- Often donate to the other groups on this level.
Entities
Skin-Stealers
Skin-Stealers can be found grouped in random rooms, and they are way more aggressive than normal, trying to kill humans whenever they see them. They are rarely seen around the rooms they inhabit.
Smilers
They are also present at this level. However, there are more sightings about them in other rooms compared to the Skin-Stealers. Documented reports indicate that attacks were made by Smilers in the bottom parts of Level 231.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
If you see stairs on Level 0 leading to a pink floor, you will probably go to Level 231. If you enter a skyscraper with a lot of different colors outside on Level 234, you will probably end up here too. The same thing can happen on Level 588. If you see a different Wi-Fi connection on Level 234 or Level 11, you will go to this level.
Exits
If you see a mono-yellow room, including the characteristic musty carpet and buzz from the lights, you will go back to Level 0. If one sees a foggy mountain after the glass door, you will go to Level 311.
