Description

Level 244 is the 245th level of the Backrooms. Level 244 appears to be a very old library that is connected to a 2002 styled office.

The first part of the level contains several rows of bookshelves made out of spruce wood containing old books that appear to be blank and have no title. No entities have been seen at this part of the level.

the Library part of the level.

About 120 miles trough the level, the walls will become darker and the books will start rotting. The lights will also start flickering and sometimes shutting down for 1-3 minutes. The only creatures at this part of the level are hounds and sometimes smilers.

250 miles into the level, the number of hounds will greatly increase, and you will sometimes hear little children crying behind doors. DO NOT open the doors, or your greatest fear will be inside. At this point, most bookshelves will be fallen down, and books will become more rare.

320 miles into the levels, the number of bookshelves and books will decrease, the walls will become fully black, and the entity count will go up. Some travelers spotted several clocks at this point. When the clocks are looked at, your insanity will rapidly decrease. Most travelers start having hallucinations at this point.

About 450 miles into the level, several travelers have reported that they can sometimes see books floating in the air that disappear when you get close to them, but they may be hallucinations because of the effect this place has on sanity.

500 miles into the level, the library will turn into a 2002 styled office. At this point, The number of entities is extremely big, and you will sometimes see notes written in stale human blood saying things among the lines of: "You will die", "You are alone", "Death cannot save you from me" and "I'm behind you". You will also sometimes spot fake notes such as: "I don't have much time. If you see this, go down to the basement to go back to real life". It is unknown what resides in the basement, as all travelers who go there die, and all video footage gets corrupted.

About 700 miles into the level, you will start hearing a loud fan sound, and the level will get much hotter. Many hostile adult facelings and skin stealers reside here, so be careful.

5000 miles in you will start hearing whispering and sometimes screams. Strange things will start happening at this point, such as air fans starting and stopping, computer keyboards automatically typing random words and doors opening and closing by themselves.

10000 miles in tons of smilers will appear, and you will sometimes be able to find plastic bottles containing strange black liquids. Most of the time there will be "ALMOND WATER" written on the bottle in black. This liquid is not safe to consume. Here are the symptoms that you will experience if you drink it:

  1. Intense paranoia and constant puking;
  2. Quick sanity loss;
  3. Constant thirst;
  4. Constipation and high blood pressure;
  5. Internal bleedings;
  6. Death.
