Description

Level 279, otherwise known as "Liminal Laboratory" is an infinite laboratory complex. which seems to be at a high altitude. It has carpeted and hardwood flooring. Illumination from an unknown source lights up most rooms, as well as some windows which depict a white void.

Like some other levels, some rooms in this level seem to overlap with each other. It is believed to be simply because it is a non linear space.

R.E.C.C

"R.E.C.C" is a individual entity that is exclusive to Level 279 and Level 279.5. It is a large robot with cyan blue eyes, and instead of metal for its frame, its frame is made from melted flesh and boiling hot tar. Instead of wiring, it has full, functioning human organs, which were supposedly ripped out of their prey, which is typically humans. Somehow they can use these organs to sustain themselves. Human blood and an unidentified black substance seeps out between the crevices of its skin. This entity will chase on sight.

This entity produces sounds, which include, in no specific order: Humming from florescent lighting on Level 0, creaking wood, dripping or splashing of water, fire crackling, human chatter, industrial machinery, ticking of a clock, and a piano playing familiar songs. These sounds are played at a deafening volume, and they can be heard from any point in the level.

They have full control over all technology in Level 279, which they use to cut off prey. This being travels via an underground system of tunnels and can come up through the floor by no-clipping to scare prey.

Do not try to fight this being. You will lose, and you will pay the price for it.

Colonies and Outposts

Due to the threat of "R.E.C.C", permanent colonies cannot be established.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

• On Level 4, you can find a paper on a wall that reads "Liminal Laboratory: Now hiring." and there will be a line, put your name on this line, and you should pass out shortly after, and wake up in Level 279.
• Enter a building on Level 11 that looks like a laboratory.

Exits

• Entering a dark room will lead to Level 6.
• No-clipping through a metal slab on the floor will lead to Level 279.5.
• Drinking Liquid Pain on this level will bring you to the Beverly Room (The Eternal Ballroom) on Level 5. It is unknown why.
• If you no-clip through "R.E.C.C", which can be done simply by diving into them, you will be put on Level 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9.
