Level 292 is the 293rd level of the backrooms.

Description

Level 292 is one of the tallest levels in the backrooms in comparison to its width. It consist of 1736 floors that resemble a 1980s living room with red carpet, unique design on the walls, and popcorn ceilings. Every room has 0-5 random 1980s objects, including a red old fashioned couch, an ottoman, an old tv on a stand, a shelf, and a table. These objects are usually placed on the wall, or in a natural space, but some of the rooms near the bottom have them in random areas, or even on the ceiling/ walls. Half of the rooms just have a couch against the wall. Others have a tv in the corner, and ottoman and a table. Its all random. The one object every room shares, is a number on it, saying the room it is. When you enter level 292 the number 1736 can be seen where you enterd. This follows for every single room all the way down to 1 (some cant been seen due to the brightness however). You can only start at the very top room, which is very safe, and has a working tv, making it a popular room for many people in the backrooms. In every room their is a door, which leads to a staircase. The stair cases go down into different rooms Every other room is pitch black, so when you first get in its well lit, but when you go down the staircase, its poorly lit by candles and flashlights. The top 124 rooms have bit lit by people in the backrooms, but past that, every other room is pitch black. When people first found level 292, there was a key at the very first floor, at people rumored could open an important door in the hub. Since then, people have tried to bring it up, but have gone missing. The key is currently at the 57th floor, and people are often going down there and trying to bring it down without dying, but no one has succeeded.

TVs

Level 292 is famous for the working TVs it has in some rooms. Most TVs just have generic channels from the 1980s that actually never exited in real life, but others are more important.

Floor 1736

This TV is found on the very floor your start. It has very useful information. Channel 1 shares out information on where almond water is on various floors. Channel 2 tells people where to find anyone on level 3. Channel 5 shows levels you should avoid in the backrooms.

Floor 1714

This TV is famous for its information about entities. All 6 channels show various entities one at a time, and a man talking over it explaining what they do, and how to survive them.

Floor 1474

This TV isn't exactly useful, but all of its channels are sinister to say the least.

Floor 1256

This TV is famous for explaining how to get from place to place in the backrooms. Channel 4 explains how to enter places like the end, the hub, and levels 0, 1, 2, and 3.

Floor 752

This TV is very popular among people trying to retrieve the key. Switching to channel 3, automatically teleports you to floor 288

Floor 288

This TV is the exact same as the one in Floor 752.

Floor 1

Only 1 person has ever made it here who eventually died on the way up, but its very interesting.

Channel 1 describes a demon, who is highly related to the creation of the backrooms. It doesn't say much, but it provides lots of information about how the backrooms might of come to be.

Entities

In the top 10 rooms, there aren't any entities at all. This makes it a very safe place.

In rooms 1726- 1573, unbelievably docile and friendly Skin-Stealers, and Facelings commonly appear. As well as Whistlers who appear a bit more often.

Whistlers are hostile entities, that are found sometimes sitting on the couches whistling in Level 292. They appear to be old men with deformed melted faces, and yellow hands with long nails. They are commonly slouched down, but sometimes they are looking straight up. Their whistles can only be heard once you enter the specific room they are in. Once you enter, the door slams behind you, and locks. It automatically unlocks after 2 seconds. They just sit and whistle, until you either walk past them, or you try to go back the door you came. Then they charge at you. The lower you go, the more common they get, they also get a lot more aggressive and faster. Almond water is toxic to them. They are far more aggressive in dark rooms, but almond water becomes even more toxic. Just one drop can cause them to melt away in a dark room. If you exit the room, 20 seconds later the whistler will be gone, and it is believed that there soul went into a random TV in level 292.

In all the rooms below that, stalkers have a very low chance of spawning, but they might pretend to be a person trying to retrieve the key, and join you. Whistlers also appear, and are especially common in floor 15- 64. Various hostile entities occasionally are found here.

Pullers are an entity that have a 10% chance of appearing every time you turn on a tv that's below floor 1700. If you are unlucky, a white arm that has a yellow hand with long nails will reach out of the TV, trying to pull you in. It is believed that if you get pulled in you turn into a Whistler. These monsters arms look identical to that of a Whistler, and its rumored that they are the souls of Whistlers trapped in the TV, who often teleport from room to room, sometimes as a whistler, other times as a puller.

Entries

Level 292 can be both entered purposely, and accidentally. There are over 20 ways people explained accidentally entering level 292, but they are all extremely rare. The most common way is just blinking in levels 0-6 and ending up there. It can be porously entered by going to level 1, waiting 20 seconds, and then closing your eyes and spinning in a circle. When you open them, you will find yourself in a room with 8 doors. Take the one Labeled Fox. All the other levels take you to either a specific level, or a random one.

Exits

Exiting Level 292 can be exited the same way most people entered. Wait 20 seconds in floor 1, close your eyes and spin in a circle, and when you open them you will find yourself in the room with 8 doors. Pick the fox one, and you will find yourself in level 1.
