Level 297 is the 298th of the Backrooms

Description

A photo of the pipe you will be when you enter the level.

Level 297 is made up of an extremely long pipe that seems to have no end, but it does. If you have claustrophobia the last thing you want to do in your life is enter this level, as the pipe is 2 meters high and wide, and depending on your height, it can feel pretty tight to you.

The level has no natural light source, so you'll have to leave your flashlight on if you want to see anything. In fact, the level may appear to have a natural source of light, as you will always see a light at the end, but make no mistake, you never get any closer to that light, and if you start to get any closer, stay still, enter the light is something you don't want to do.

Remember to bring supplies when entering this level, as you won't find any kind, be it food, drink, weapons, no supplies will exist here.

The pipe is extremely irregular, it can vary the direction going left, right, up, down, even diagonally, but under no circumstances, backwards, it is literally impossible for the pipe to go backwards.

Events

Explanation: Events are things that can happen randomly, which can vary from safe to super dangerous.

Disinfection

  • Event Class: Safe
  • Event Description: Some gas inlets may appear randomly in the barrel, and when you are in the middle of them, the front and back of the barrel will close, which will stop you from moving forward, but don't be scared, they will release a gas that will cure any disease you have.
  • Event Rarity: 10/10

The Slide

  • Event Class: Unsafe
  • Event Description: The pipe can tilt roughly while you're walking, how much it tilts can vary, but it will always tilt a lot, and it will always be when you're distracted
  • Event Rarity 6/10

Approaching light

  • Event Class: Unsafe
  • Event Description: As mentioned before, sometimes the light starts to get closer to you, when that happens, stop immediately as entering it will take you to The Whiteout
  • Event Rarity: 7/10

Cracking

  • Event Class: Dangerous
  • Event Description: Rarely, the pipe can start to crack, at which point you have two options, stand still and hope the pipe doesn't break, or run as fast as you can until you reach a part that is no longer cracking.
  • Event Rarity: 9/10

Pipe Rotation

  • Event Class: Dangerous
  • Event Description: The most common event is the most dangerous in the level, at random times the can start to spin, the speed can also vary a lot, but on average it spins at 10km/h, when this event occurs, start running to the opposite side of the spin as fast as you can, and hope the spin lasts for a short time, because the case in which the spin took the longest to stop, it was a spin of 27 minutes, with a speed of 8 km/h, hope it doesn't happen to you.

Due to the completely abnormal conditions of the level it is not possible to create a colony or an outpost.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Breaking a pipe on whatever level they exist will get you here
  • Noclip through a wall at levels divisible by 10 has a 50% chance of bringing you here
  • Exiting the easy way in Level NULL.

Exits

  • Reaching the end of the pipe will take you to Level 298
  • Falling out of the pipe in the Cracking event will take you back to the level you were at before entering this one, however effects 1 to 5 of liquid pain will be dealt to you as a punishment
  • Entering the light in the Approaching Light event will take you to The Whiteout
  • Noclip through the pipe has a slight chance of getting you to Level 841
  • Sleeping on your back in the pipe will take you to Level 483
