Level 2999 is the 3000th level of the Backrooms.

Description

Photo of a wanderer's hallucination of The Frontrooms, the photographer is still in The Backrooms getting pictures of unexplored areas

The entirety of Level 2999 is a hallucination. It is a hallucination of the Frontrooms in the town/city/neighborhood you live in. The only differences to this hallucination and the real Frontrooms is that the hallucination ends when the town/city/neighborhood ends. Going beyond the boundaries of the hallucination will cause you to be teleported on the other side of the hallucination, like a loop. Another difference is that there will always be an airport somewhere, even if you didn't live next to an airport. This airport has functional planes and it acts just like a real airport with "real" people. There are multiple planes in this airport, but they all only go one way, which is Level 3000. There are hallucinations of everyone in that live in the same area that can range from family members to people you've never seen in your life, and they would all act like they would in the Frontrooms. The buildings in Level 2999 have an infinite supply of food since the food restocks every week, and the food inside the buildings would be what they were in reality, so if you lived near a burger chain, that burger chain would have an infinite supply of burgers and fries. When you first enter this level, your sanity will start to drop really quickly, and the only way to stop it is to either accept that you will never be in reality again, or give yourself hope that will you get back to reality. If you don't count the hallucinations, there are no entities in this level.

Colonies and Outposts

Since this level is just a hallucination, colonies and outposts are unable to be established.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

After fighting enough entities and going through enough levels, you might find a door with a sign that says "Home". If you go through this door you will end up here, and after a few minutes, the door will disappear.

Exits

If it hasn't disappeared, go back through the door you came from to go back to the previous level you were in.

Take the airplane in the airport to eventually land in Level 3000. The airplane can take from 1 hour to 8 hours to land.

Once you exit this level, you will never be able to come back.
