Level 30 is comprised of a giant edifice, with a series of interconnected pools indoors. It contains two floors, accommodating a total of five different pool areas, each named after dwarf planets. There used to be 8 stations, however, the absent ones were deemed as hazardous, as two of them were detected with high levels of cadmium, mercury, and lead present in the water, and the third one had an unknown entity. They were soon quarantined and protected by the M.E.G.. Don't trust the intercom suggestion to go there. It's a trap, still being investigated by authorities.

It is considerably hard to find another explorer in the level, as the facilities are very big. Apart from all the machines and systems operating in the pools, the complex itself is very quiet, with the silence only being interrupted by humans. Occasionally, Level 30 is preserved by M.E.G. employees, as stated before. Eventually, if one of the pool systems stop operating correctly, they will be the first ones to do maintenance.

The building is surrounded by big windows, present in every single station, with the outside being a very foggy landscape, with the site seeming to be a forest. The second floor is smaller than the first, as it only accommodates the employees of the business. One can go from one pool area to another by one of the multiple moving walkways located around the level. In the second floor, one may find authorized personnel only doors, designated to the M.E.G. employees.

M.E.G Employee 1 — F&ck. They made us quarantine our invention. We spent years mutating that bacteria just for it to become trapped.

M.E.G Employee 2 — You know how groups around here are. If we didn't do that, they would start to notice. Pretty dumb move if you ask me, especially after people were falling for the trap.

M.E.G Employee 1 — Wait, they were? No way they can be that stupid.

M.E.G Employee 2 — Yep. You know how people are around here.

M.E.G Employee 1 — Crazy…

M.E.G Employee 2 — By the way— [AUDIO INTERFERENCE]

Ceres Area

An image of the Ceres Area.

Ceres is known to be the most recognizable area on Level 30. In most of the cases, it's the station that one would no-clip into after exiting a certain level. It is home to several waterslides and amenities. The stores present on the installation were abandoned a long time ago due to unhealthy conditions, and they were soon raided by the individuals of the level. Vending machines were present, until explorers managed to exploit the circuit.

Nowadays, the facility shelters numerous minor and major outposts, settled by the adventurers of Level 30.

The Pluto Area is a thematic station. It was designed as a water park representing the ocean and its elements, such as fauna and flora.

Haumea Area

Eris Area

Eris is a place that was used as an experimental water park in the past. Early reports indicate that this station is supposed to look like a very confusing place to be. People didn't appreciate the concept of the area, and the settlement was considered as abandoned after a few years.

Nowadays, the place serves as an exhibition of the level. It also serves the purpose of being the subject of studies from builder colonies present in the Backrooms, as they try to discover how a such exquisite set of waterslides were installed so close from each other.

Underwater restaurants also take place there, where people could dine under a glass and acrylic tunnel, but it was also virtually abandoned. Soon after, the establishment was progressively invaded by individuals, trying to obtain the food that was left there.

Orcus & Sedna Area

Orcus and Sedna are two of the three sections that needed to be quarantined from the rest of the areas. The reason behind this was that, as mentioned before, the levels of mercury, lead, and cadmium in the water were very high.

Before the unfortunate incident, both areas were very populated, maintaining some secondary colonies that settled there a long time ago.

While Orcus was more designated to accommodate a big system of waterslides, Sedna was home to an artificial wave machine, designed to train surfers in their sport. After the environment was protected, the machine stopped functioning, and they don't plan to repair it soon, according to themselves.

Quaoar Area

The Quaoar Area was the single station to register cases of the Hydrolitis Plague (see more on the Entities heading).

Colonies and Outposts

Entities

There are currently two entities reported on Level 30: Facelings and a level-exclusive entity.

Facelings

Some specimens of Child Facelings can be seen outside the main building, banging on the windows, presumably wishing to enter the edifice. So far, as no definite entrance from outdoors has been reported, they won't cause harm to explorers.

Hydrolitis Plague

Hydrolitis Plague is a level-exclusive entity present on Level 30, that originated on the Quaoar Area a long time ago. It can be defined as bacteria, likely spread by contact with the toxic water present on the station. The general symptoms are fever, weakness, and headache.

It mainly targets the blood cells and tissue. In severe cases, it may cause internal bleeding, necrosis, pneumonia, thrombosis, coma, and death. The symptoms get progressively worse as the bacteria settles itself inside the body of the host. It can be transmitted by direct blood to blood contact or airborne transmission.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Entering one of the pools on Level 160 may lead adventurers here.
  • No-clipping underwater on Level 67 can transport explorers to Level 30.

Exits

  • Entering an employees-only door in one of the abandoned stores may lead one to Level 4.
  • No-clipping through most of the pool floors can conduct an explorer to Level 466.
