Name: level 335
Entities: one
Entity hostility: relatively high, will kill if requests are not complied with
Main room: seems to be a nursing home for the elderly. there’s retro looking furniture all around the endless hallways. sometimes you’ll come across a mirror at the end of the hall before it splits into corridors on your left and right sides. don’t look in it. looking in the mirrors will summon the caretaker. along the corridors are doors leading to individual rooms. from a far off distance, you can hear slow jazz music. behind the doors you can hear conversations from elderly people talking about things that happened in their heyday. some have tv’s on, playing shows from anywhere between the 1930s to 1960s. upon opening the doors, you’ll be greeted with furniture from varying decades depending on the corridor you’re in, but it’s all decayed and rotting away. if you walk too far in one direction, the music emanating from an unknown direction will turn to the style of everywhere at the end of time in the way that it will become distorted and inflict high emotional distress on the listener (or at least that’s what it did to me)
Sub-area: the cafeteria. this is the only place where you can meet with other wanderers of this level. there’s comfortable chairs and nice-looking tables. there’s food and drink here, all of it completely safe to consume. there’s floor to ceiling windows around the cafeteria, but they’re impossible to break. sometimes upon looking outside and touching the window, you’ll be transported to a random level depending on your mental health. if you’re stable, you’ll be sent to a safe level. unstable people will be sent to dangerous levels. the outside will randomly switch from sunny to cold and rainy.
How to enter the cafeteria: wandering the corridors and doubling back when the music becomes distorted, it will randomly appear at the end of a hallway. no entities, specifically the one known entity on this floor, will go near the cafeteria.
Known entities: the caretaker (sneaky reference :p). he wanders the halls looking for people out of their rooms. the music will stop and turn to low, ominous noises when he’s around. he puts on a disguise as a charming, yet tired looking young man with dark hair matching the cute dark circles under his brown eyes. he wear’s a nurse’s outfit and simply calls himself the caretaker. he will politely ask you to go back to your room. this interaction can be avoided if you quickly go inside a room and close the door. if you must interact with the caretaker, you have to agree with his request to go back to your room. he will walk behind you and lead you to a random room where you must stay for an hour. while he’s guiding you to a room, do not look back. he will kill you. if you leave before the hour is up, you will see his real form and he will kill you immediately. no one who has seen his true form has come out alive, so it’s unknown what he looks like.
How to escape: sit in a room for two whole days and nights, do not leave. if the room has a tv, change it to a show from the decade of the room you’re in. as you watch the show, the furniture around you will slowly repair itself to look as if it’s brand new again. time passes normally here, and every room has a clock of some kind in it. as you stay in the room, the jazz music will fade. on the second night, sleep. there is about a one in a million chance you will awake back in reality. if you wish to go to another floor, use the cafeteria method.
How to enter: on any floor, a rotting wooden door with a landscape painting next to it will appear. go through it.
