Level 352 is the 353rd level of The Backrooms, originally named and documented in Chinese as Level ZH 35.
Description
Externally, Level 352 resembles an almost infinite body of water filled with a viscous, translucent silicone liquid. This liquid is highly reflective, and the temperature remains consistently below 20 degrees Celsius.
When wanderers arrive in this level, their clothing always mysteriously disappears, the area is bathed in abundant natural light, with no day-night cycle or seasonal changes, looking up at the sky, one cannot discern any celestial bodies or weather patterns—only an enormous white LCD-like screen enveloping the entire level.
The liquid's glass-like smoothness initially evokes the texture of glass, and it has been confirmed to consist of liquefied glass structures. However, its clarity stems from temperatures far below the glass melting point, this substance will hereafter be referred to as "Glass Liquid," prolonged stillness causes the "Glass Liquid" to solidify into glass formations, a process accelerated by the low ambient temperature, as a result, vast expanses of the "Glass Liquid" have already hardened, the liquid also contains dense concentrations of glass fragments—smooth yet razor-sharp—rendering movement nearly impossible for wanderers.
Small-to-medium glass blocks sink, while larger formations may occasionally float atop the liquid, thus, traversing solidified glass patches remains the safest option, during exploration, one might encounter unfortunate wanderers permanently entombed in solidified glass, some float suspended, while others sink into unfathomable depths.
The "Glass Liquid" occasionally thickens to a glue-like consistency, making swimming impractical, survivors who narrowly escaped report persistent illusions of imminent sinking, with cycles of despair and frantic struggle forcing them to remain hypervigilant, many describe an unshakable dread that even the slightest misstep could prove fatal.
Notably, if a wanderer's body remains in prolonged contact with "Glass Liquid," it will not only solidify into blocks but also trigger further diffusion of the substance. Once heavily contaminated by large "Glass Liquid" formations, escape becomes nearly impossible—"Glass Liquid" progressively consumes the wanderer's flesh, ultimately transforming them into a glass sculpture. This agonizingly slow process necessitates immediate and thorough cleansing after exposure "Glass Liquid," crucially, submerging facial orifices nose or mouth in "Glass Liquid" must be avoided, as subsequent removal becomes both hazardous and complex, with high risks of asphyxiation.
Entities
Few wanderers have reported encountering entities on this level, which could potentially be attributed to the abnormally high mortality rate within this area. It is hypothesized that the only entity possibly existing on this level are the Deathmoths.
Resources
The resource distribution within Level 352 is extremely scarce, making it nearly impossible to locate any Almond Water within this level, any discovered Almond Water is always found entirely encased in glass. When wanderers retrieve a bottle and open it, they find its interior filled with the "Glass Liquid", accidental ingestion of this substance could lead to catastrophic consequences, wanderers are strongly advised to abandon any notion of obtaining resources on this level.
Colonies and Outposts
The hazard level of this level is relatively high, and all attempts to establish outposts have failed.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
The entrances leading to Level 352 are scarce, below are verified access points, though we strongly advise against visiting this level:
- Entering a room entirely constructed of glass in Level 37 and subsequently no-clipping out will transport you to this level.
- Level 7 was once confirmed to connect to this level, likely through unintentional transitions.
Exits
- No-clipping into certain glass surfaces may randomly transport wanderers to Level 33.
- Continuous sinking will eventually lead to Level 7.
I feel like a drifting soda can. The viscous liquid entangles me, and I've tried countless times to swim desperately toward the "shore," yet even now I remain trapped in this bondage of glue.
I feel utterly wretched, the skin on my legs stung sharply, as if merciless needles were slowly piercing inward. The liquid seeped deeper, yet the unreachable "shore" still loomed far away. I pushed forward desperately, but the harder I struggled, the deeper I sank.
As time dragged on, my strength dwindled bit by bit, while the surrounding liquid seemed to grow ever more viscous. With every thrash, it felt like invisible hands tightening their grip. My breathing turned ragged, and a primal dread took root in my chest. I tried to stay calm, repeating that I couldn’t give up, but fear and despair crashed over me like tidal waves, suffocating me.
I began to realize I might never escape. My body grew heavier, each movement a struggle against an entire ocean. The liquid's surface mirrored the lifeless white sky above, and in this endless glass sea, I was but a speck of dust, devoured without mercy.
Suddenly, the liquid beneath me trembled faintly—as if something colossal approached—a massive glass block sank slowly in the distance. The churning liquid around it spiraled violently, dragging me into its vortex, I fought to grasp anything, but everything was slick, offering no foothold.
Consciousness slipped away, every inch of my skin had likely been consumed by the liquid long ago.
