Survival Difficulty: Class Undetermined
》Unknown Properties
》Unsecure
》One Undocumented Entity

Description

Level 3999.5 resembles The Frontrooms, but with a few noticeable differences. You actually go out of Level 3999, the only occasion you'll walk out of the glass doors without appearing in The Frontrooms or Level 3999.9. However, this level is still confirmed to be a sublevel based on the fact that whoever goes through the glass doors will still disappear upon walking across, but will not be noticed from the subject entering the glass doors until they notice that they haven't changed place.

Level 3999.5's coordinate location is unknown. Although this place represents The Frontrooms, it appears to be altered, which makes the coordinate location track attempts unreliable. The outside area will have arcade machines placed seemingly at random, in random places and orientation, approximately 20 meters of distance from one another, though distance can vary up to 100 meters at times. All arcade machines are fully functional despite missing any energy source, and don't appear to keep their anomalous effects from Level 3999, so it's safe to play with them. These machines do not require any type of currency either, they will automatically start upon interacting with them.

Most of the things known were discovered by the following M.E.G. unit on their exploration log, upon reports of people entering Level 3999's glass doors and being brought here instead.

Exploration of Level 3999.5 by the M.E.G.

[BEGIN LOG]

4 M.E.G. unit members were sent to explore Level 3999.5 after a report of people managing to get on the outside of Level 3999 seemingly at random. Captain of the Unit "Mike" is at lead of the mission.

Clyde: We're in, that was fast.

Tyson: Fair, even though we ended up back home so we had to make our way back to one of the glitched areas guarded by other M.E.G. agents, then had to make our way back to Level 11, then spent hours finding the entrance to this level again.

Clyde: Well let's look at the positive side, it only took us two attempts, and we're here already!

Nate: Let's get our heads forward, this Level is still undocumented for all we know. Are we ready boss?

Mike: Ready as always, let's move...are those arcade machines? Do they work?

The M.E.G. unit makes their way to the nearest arcade machine and starts it up.

Clyde: Doesn't seem to have a source of power, yet it works? That's so strange!

Tyson: Keep the curiosity for yourself, we don't know what happens if you interact with it, you might end up in a dangerous Level.

The unit makes their way to check around the area, until they notice the date.

Nate: Uhm... Boss?

Mike: What's up?

Nate: Read the date on your phone.

Everyone in the team picks up the phone to check the date.

Mike: HOLY SH-

Clyde: What?! How?!

Mike: This isn't possible, it's 50 years ahead! IT'S 50 [CENSORED] YEARS AHEAD!

[END LOG]

[BEGIN LOG]

Exploration by the Unit continued, and are approximately 5 days into the level upon recording of this log. The unit spotted a dead wanderer.

Clyde: Boss, do you see this?

Mike: Yeah, a dead wanderer...

Tyson: Boss look, there's a note with the wanderer.

The note reads out: "MAKE YOUR WAY BACK, DO NOT GO FURTHER DOWN INTO THE ABYSS OF CORRUPTION."

Clyde: ...What?

Nate: I'm creeping out, let's figure this Level out fast and get out... Wait, maybe noclipping has some exits?

Mike: It could, but let's see what the level is like first, then we attempt exits.

M.E.G. unit spots a different arcade, not the same from Level 3999

Clyde: This place has security cams, can we check for any possible footage?

Mike: Yeah, let's find the security room, meanwhile Tyson and Nate explore this area.

The team divides and proceeds to do ordered tasks. Nate found some almond water next to an arcade machine. While Clyde and Mike found the security room, and start viewing recorded footage.

Clyde: The security cams go back all the way to 1970? That's a long ass time.

Clyde: Are those facelings? Smilers? Even Partygoers what the, they all existed way back then? How is that-

Mike: Hey Clyde when did the Backrooms report begin? At around 1980-1990?

Clyde: Yeah exactly, how did these entities exist from before?

Mike: We don't have an exact date at when The Backrooms started. However reports did happen way later than that date.

Clyde: Wait try to check footage around the time we got reports.

Footage is set at March 8th, 1984

Clyde: What? All entities are gone-

Mike: I see that, i'll keep the footage on rewind at a fast rate, so we can see where the entities went.

Approximately 2 minutes, the security cam reaches November 27th, 1981, everything is seen glitching and collapsing, and all the entities disappearing, and random arcade machines being generated at random locations. The audio is completely distorted during this process.

Clyde: What... the... hell...?!

Mike: Everything collapsed, how is this possible? We gotta tell the others.

As they make their way back to the main hall, their heart sank upon sight of this.

Clyde: Oh... hell-

Mike: ... Are... they...

Both of them take a quick moments to regain themselves, upon finding the bodies of Tyson and Nate.

Mike: I'm sorry, but we gotta move on. We've seen of worse, seeing units of our team dead will definitely not stop us.

Clyde: Wait, boss, the security room, we can see what killed them!

Mike: Great idea, let's make our way back there.

The team makes their way back to the security room. Footage shows Tyson and Nate minding their own business, until they both turn to face a direction, and instantly die 2 seconds after viewing the same direction.

Clyde: What the fu-

Mike: What the hell happened there?!

Clyde: I don't know, but we gotta get out of here!

Both Clyde and Mike make their way out of the arcade, and after catching a quick breath, make their way to the next place.

[END LOG]

[BEGIN LOG]

Clyde: Hey boss look at that tree, the wood... It looks a lot like the wood of Level 193's house.

Mike: You're right, did this place live with this wood? No wonder these entities are so strong.

Clyde: The ads are also entity related, was this the place they lived at?

Mike: Would make sense but why would they go live in The Backrooms if this was their home, why is noone here?

Clyde: I don't know but something's definitely off.

Clyde and Mike travel for a few other days, until finally spotting a big building, very corrupted and glitched.

Clyde: Is that it? Should we explore it?

Mike: Not much of a choice, we have to document this level sooner or later.

Upon entering the building, the door shut itself, and the ambient completely changed reality into a big screen and infinite miles of void. Upon the screen loading up, Level 0 is visible. Along with entities appearing lost. Screen speeds up years later, aggressive entities start to show up, a skin-stealer tearing apart a wanderer is visible, this dates from the year 1988. After that, a new level loads up and Level 1 is visible in the screen. This went on for a while until the levels started to be speed up to a state not easily recognizable in human eye, but theorized to have went through every level, some images also unrecognized, which theorizes undocumented levels were shown aswell. Then Level 6.1 is shown, with entities living peacefully in there, sometimes appearing to be "arguing" between levels with mad entities. It looked like they were building a society, entities were too crazy to listen to the only friendly behaving ones. Eventually the screen shows nothing but The Manila Room at present time. And a voice is heard by both the units:

It was my fault, it was your fault, it was their fault. This wasn't supposed to happen. Never was. Altering realities shouldn't be done.

The camera feed changes quickly into what seems like an edited montage of the camera positions. There's one camera from a forest located within Level 3999.5 and one camera located within a Frontrooms hotel, identified to be similarly structured to Level 188. Entities and people are seen being taken away, entities being sealed, and the Frontrooms corrupting slightly, though it being enough to send subjects to the same "cage".

This was never meant to happen. Humans and [INCOMPRENSIBLE] co-exist. This caused unseen problems, the realities bonded, pieces from both world's being anomalous to the other. Into a setup, something that you're in between of, reality's junk. Scattered pieces of reality, being eradicated from their own homes.

New footage is loaded up, with pieces of glitched paths covering The Frontrooms, Level 3999.5 and The Backrooms for entirety. All faces, entities and not, appear at the screen at the same time, and after a while, it goes blank and a depiction of different oddball levels appear. The levels are identified as Level !, several negative levels, currently undocumented levels and Level Rush, this is the first time we get an actual picture of it.

Come to realize, this is the place [DISTORTED] by accident. Entities and Humans at one place, each one [INCOMPRENSIBLE] homes, but what do you think? Without knowing the other end. One odd of freedom, is what brought you here. You went back to reality, just not yours.

You're in their reality, but they're not yet into yours.

You're all trapped at the same place.

The place you all like to call.

The Backrooms.
