Level 3999 is the 4000th level of the Backrooms. The level serves as one of the few exits from the Backrooms back into reality, also known as the Frontrooms, and it is well-known for that reason.

Description
Level 3999 is a seemingly infinite arcade—the appearance and layout resembling most arcades present in The Frontrooms (Eating areas, Arcade Areas, etc.) However, the arcade machines contain games that require high-performance PCs or Nintendo devices to play, including Call Of Duty, Minecraft, Miitopia, Terraria, Mario Kart 8, Fortnite, and World of Warcraft, among others. Like a typical arcade, the outside area represents a parking lot—cars, streetlights, and trees can be seen through the windows; however, the windows’ strength makes it impossible to enter that area.
The arcade machines are durable and enact relaxing effects on wanderers who play on them. To play a game, simply insert a coin—surprisingly, the machines can take any currency. As wanderers become invested in the game, any sanity loss is mitigated and the wanderer should feel normal within a few minutes. However, attempting to damage the machine, whether in a fit of rage or out of curiosity, will instantly cause the wanderer to faint on the spot. There is luckily no lasting brain damage; regardless, it is not recommended hitting, punching, or swinging at the machines.
Level 3999 is one of the most famous levels due to the familiar feeling of security, safety, and comfort. At the same time, the scarcity of other humans in this level may provoke feelings of anxiety and loneliness.
Occasionally, meteorites may rain down from the ceiling, with no known pattern. However, they do not appear to damage the level or any wanderers, so researchers have hypothesized that they are simply illusions created by the light structures.
To return to reality- you must complete a checklist or multiple checklists in a certain amount of time or span of years. You may have 4 minutes to 12 years of time to complete the checklist(s). The task can range from slaying Entities in a certain level or just killing a certain quantity or entities in any Level, or you may have to drink a certain amount of Almond Water which can range from a single milligram to whole bottles on a certain Level or location. Some tasks may also be playing a certain game for a certain amount of time on the level, for it will not teleport you out of the Level at all. You may also have to consume amounts of food ranging from 1 oz (37.8 g) to 6 pounds (2.72 kg). The longer the task, the more time you get to complete your checklist. You may get some rewards or an aura for completing a difficult task. You may get Neon Water or other consumables, or you may get an aura of happiness or one to calm entities and hostility. Leaving your checklist uncompleted may result in death or being trapped in the Backrooms forever. To acquire the Checklist, you will need to go towards the sunset for a certain amount of time, and you will receive it. No other ways are known to get the checklist.
