Level 400 is the 401st level of the Backrooms.
Description
Level 400 consists of a single room, presumably located in an abandoned, and empty apartment. The walls are painted gray, and the floor seems to have not been finished nor painted yet. Level 400's reality appears to be collapsing on itself, as objects and matter crumbles down, plus it makes up physical glitches that can be touched. Floating computer codes float on the air, although they cannot be touched. Laws of physics (mainly Newton's Law) does not exist, and time is constantly shifting from going forward to backwards.
All devices malfunction completely due to the absent of laws of physics in Level 400. Any attempts on communicating, record, tracking, and more are proven to be unsuccessful. Taking a photograph of Level 400 is possible, though one has to follow an extensive process only some individuals in the M.E.G. has the skill and knowledge to do it. Despite the extensive process of Level 400, the photograph would still corrupt, resulting in a glitchy photo.
Every entity, more precisely Class 7 entities, do not possess the same powers they have outside of Level 400. This implies that Level 400 is one of the most dangerous levels for everyone. They may be able to escape, although it is incredibly tough and exhausting.
The Computer
In the middle of the room of Level 400, sits a Commodore 64 computer. It runs the newest Microsoft Windows version, Windows 11. Despite its RAM being only 64 KB, the computer anomalously runs Windows 11 without any problem. The software itself lacks any pre-installed programs, including Recycle Bin and File Explorer. The only software the computer has is simply named "Text". It appears to be a replacement for Command Prompt. Instead of using the Java programming language, it simply uses words meaning every individual can understand it.
Nobody besides the First and the Wanderer who discovered the level does not know the nature of the Computer. Even the members of the Consensus of Impresarios does not know the truth of Level 400 nor the Computer's existence.
