Level 44.5 is a sub-layer of Level 44.

Description
When you first enter this level, it will be on its first stage. You will be on a black platform with dim lights around the corners. The room will be completely black. Then, stars will appear around the platform, and eventually glowing blue blobs. Different shapes and illusions will appear, such as purple blobs, multicolored auroras and stars. It will remain in this state for a while, until you will begin to feel tired and will faint. If you jump off the platform, it is unknown about what will happen to you, since nobody has done it before. But rumors say you will end up in the Nightmare.
After waking up, the platform is now a diamond, and there will be crystals around you. The illusions will now be replaced with a prism. Occasionally there would be crystals falling from out of nowhere. If you are 1m close to the crystal, you would have the sudden urge to consume it, people who do that are sent to Level 5. The best choice is to close your eyes to avoid staring at the crystals, and wait for this state to be over. Eventually you would fall asleep.
Once you wake up again, the crystal state is now over and there will be a door. Open the door, and you see an arched hallway. The halls are made of shells and the floor you are standing on has an underground aquarium with jellyfish-like entities swimming about. Once you walk down the hallway, you will see a marble door. Open it.
You are now in the Museum Gallery. It is no ordinary museum. It is structured like a normal gallery, but there are different exhibits. It is noted some exhibits change from time to time.
Notable Exhibits
There are a few documented exhibits that are deemed to be important by the Fantasia Gruppe.
One exhibit is the Memory Folder. This is a large marble room with different notes taped to the walls. There are big golden letters in the front reading 'These notes are kindly donated from the Goddess'. There are 5 notes in total, but they are known to be difficult to read.

Level 44 is a nightmare. This is terrible. I wish the Backrooms never existed. She was taken from me out of all people. She was so young. Whoever did this to me, I hate you. I want the Backrooms to be gone forever. And by the time someone reads this I live with the Goddess now. She has given me my place in the world. There I can be very happy.

I found the entries and I am using them right now. She knew she would be here. I never knew I would come here and see her again. She's in the hands of the Goddess and she knows she's going to die. Which is why I'm here. I'm not allowing that. I'm going to send her in a nice slumber. She'll be grateful.

I like rainbows. I like them a lot. I love Level 44 because they have rainbows in them. There's even a little house all for me with rainbows in it. I can now live happily.

It has been confirmed that these notes come from different people, who all have come to Level 44.
Unusual Exhibit
Another exhibit has been called 'Unusual Exhibit'. This is a small grove with corals, trees and fungi which all emit a weird glow. There is also a small wood hut, which can make a good base.
Divine Art
The room itself is made of weird materials and in the middle is a huge tree. There are many weird objects dangling from the tree such as weird floras, sealife or even dead viverrae. People are encouraged to climb the tree 'for fun'. When climbing to the top, you will fall through the tree, into the true exhibit.
The true exhibit is a black room. Much like the first stage of this sublayer, there will be stars on the walls, and the walls will play video tapes of feminine looking entities wearing strange clothing and makeup, while dancing to a distorted song. There are also a few seats, so be comfortable while watching the performances. Eventually you will see a door once the recording finishes. Open it, and you will exit the exhibit, or very rarely end up in Level 46.
Bauble Exhibit
This exhibit can be a peculiar one. It is just a room with color-changing walls, ceiling and floors, with several items hanging from the roof like jellyfish, glowing balls or salt lamps. Upbeat music would be playing from an unknown source.
These are only a few exhibits in the entire gallery. While the gallery isn't actually infinite, it is huge, reportedly bigger than galleries in the real world, with several exhibits and easy to get lost in.
Entities
Somnium
Somnium has the appearance of a young girl. She can be found through a gold door in a velvet room, sitting on a throne. She wears a frilly red dress. She will try to engage in a conversation with you, and she also knows a few things about Level 44.5. However she refuses to talk about things too personal or stuff she may not know, such as Backrooms as a whole or other levels. She does know however, she works with the Workers, and she knows who Lucidom is. She also appears to be a good friend of the Goddess, but claims she is not actually a Goddess but instead an entity, wanting to seem superior to others.
Somnium at first seems polite and wise for her age, but being disrespectful to her results in walking out of the room finding a horde of hostile entities. When wanting to stop the conversation, please dismiss yourself respectfully, or the door will not open in order to leave.
Workers
Several workers work in the Gallery by creating new exhibits and replacing older ones, and cleaning dirty areas. They also run a cafe that serves desserts like ice cream, crepes and swiss rolls. They can answer several questions about Level 44.5. They are dressed in uniforms and have their hair styled in a bun, with sunglasses covering their eyes and big hats. They may or may not be related to Infomen. They are mostly passive and helpful, but if you steal artworks or gift items they will act like Skin-Stealers.
Colonies and Outposts
There are no proper outposts in this sub-layer, apart from the Fantasia Gruppe coming here sometimes and the workers, which consider themselves to be the managers.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
To enter, you must travel through Tenebris Cave and avoid Virga at all costs. Once you reach the beyond Virga zone you have to walk for a little longer before reaching a door. Open the door and you will find yourself in the First stage of this level. You can also come here by opening a door in the Galaxy Ocean.
Exits
To exit this level, wander around for a certain period of time a door with an exit symbol above it may be present. Open it, and you will reach the gift shop run by workers. You can pay for this stuff by paying special coins that are found throughout this level. If you pick up gifts without paying for them the workers will attack you like skin-stealers. Several items in the gift shop include snow globes featuring a model of Level 44, viverra plushies, candles made from wax found exclusively in Level 44 and several others related to this level. Then you can leave, with a sign reading 'Thanks for Visiting!' and you will end up back in Level 44.
