Cursed Sea 2

Description[]

Popularly known as the Cursed Sea, Level 468 is, as the name implies, a large ocean of presumably infinite length and width, as well as seemingly bottomless depth and boundless sky. The level possesses a day/night cycle that is believed to replicate that of Earth within The Frontrooms. When it is dark, a dim green-blue glow illuminates the level, though this glow becomes dimmer the further one ventures beneath the waters' surface.

Over time, the level's weather has gradually and steadily worsened, with more clouds appearing in the sky, the waters inexplicably becoming more disturbed, and a slight greenish-blue mist obscuring the distant horizon. It is believed, based on numerous witness reports, that this strange occurrence initially began sometime in early-2015, though it is extremely difficult to fully deduce this due to the slowness at which the phenomenon has worsened. Regardless of it's time of origin, experts have calculated that the weather of Level 468 will have escalated to a full-blown storm by mid- to late-2027 should it continue to progress at this rate.

Current Weather State

Notice: This information may be subject to change as time goes on.

Currently, the sky is mostly blocked from view by clouds, and medium-sized waves are frequent on the ocean's surface, making traversing the level highly difficult and posing risks of disorientation and even drowning to tired wanderers.

Cursed Sea

Level 468 is broadly recognized for the many unexplained disappearances that occur within it, which in turn is believed to be the main reason why the level is so scarcely documented, as well as being how the level acquired its nickname. Most wanderers who enter the level go missing soon after their time of entry. No evidence on what might be causing these disappearances has thus far been gathered, and any recording equipment that was being used by the mentioned wanderers mysteriously malfunctioned and cut off at the times of their respective disappearances. Due to this, as well as wanderers having not reported any abnormal encounters or phenomena after exiting the level and missing individuals having never been spotted following their disappearances, no one currently has any information that might lead to an understanding of what is causing said disappearances.

Entities[]

While no entities are confirmed to inhabit Level 468, it is speculated that an undocumented type of entity is responsible for the numerous disappearances in the level. However, it is ultimately unknown whether an anomaly or an entity is responsible for the vanishings.

Colonies & Outposts[]

Due to the harsh nature of Level 468, the fact that the whole level is an ocean with no known land, and the high chance of disappearance for wanderers in the level, no colonies, outposts, or communities have ever been established and creating any is infeasible, if not downright impossible.

Entrances & Exits[]

Entrances[]

  • Occasionally, the environment of Level 7 may transition into this level.
  • Swimming away from land and out to sea in Level 468.1 may lead one here.

Exits[]

  • Sometimes, being in this level for long enough will lead to the level's environment transitioning into Level 7.
  • Sometimes, this level may transition into the sea of Level 468.1.
  • Rarely, one may find a rope ladder with the end slightly dipped in the sea and stretching far upwards, finishing at the beginning of an unsupported wooden bridge that seems to extend infinitely into the distance. Reaching the top of the ladder will transition one to Level 505.
