Imagine a level, a level that if you take a step, you get transported to god knows where.

A level where every step could lead you to a random place within the area, seemingly entirely random.

Imagine standing on the peak of mountains, and next thing you know, you're standing in the middle of a city by taking one singular step.

A place where the slightest twitch can, and will, bring you to the most random spot, with no-one knowing where you went.

...

Strange, is it not?

Level 475 is the 476th level of the Backrooms.

Description

Level 475 before teleportation has begun.

A picture of Level 475 upon arrival taken by a wanderer. Photographer presumed missing.

Upon arrival, Level 475 appears to be a woodland at late dusk. Within this woodland, various noises can be heard by the individual present at the time. Examples of these sounds are tseep' calls by birds, rustle produced by the leafes and on rare occasions, deers can be heard further in the distance. Despite this, no organisms has ever been found within the location of arrival in level 475.

The peculiar features of this level are known to cause sanity to decline at an alarming rate. Because of this, as well as the difficulty of exiting this level, it is not advised to enter this level under any circumstances. The peculiar features of this level are known to cause sanity to decline at an alarming rate. Because of this, as well as the difficulty of exiting this level, it is not advised to enter this level under any circumstances. Level 475 is a non-euclidian level that causes an individual to teleport to any random location whenever they take a step in any direction or make movements that are intended to be, or normally considered "fast" by the average person. Level 475 appears to have no boundaries to the terrains that can be teleported to, but there are always circumstances that do count by every teleportation.

Level 475's proportions are unknown, however they are presumed to be infinite in every direction. The level features a seemingly never-ending amount of of regions to which one can be transferred, examples of these terrains include, but are beyond any doubt not limited to plateaus, mountains, plains, tundra, oasis', steppes, deserts, swamps, woods, marshes, (undeep) rivers, valleys, caverns, or even the inside of structures and massive vehicles fall under possible locations where individuals could find themselves teleported to. Terrains do also have the ability to mimic terrains that do not exist in the frontrooms, as well as resemble other backrooms levels at extremely seldom occations, demonstrating that terrain generation within this level has no superficial boundaries.

The location into which an individual has been teleported remains completely random, but there are some presumed boundaries within this level. Examples of these presumes limits include:

  • A minimum of 1.2 meters (3.9 feet) of free space is required in all directions from the individual's location.
  • Before reaching a solid floor, the floor must have no more than 30 centimeters (11.8 inches) of liquid substance.
  • The air within the location must not reach a pressure less than 42 kPa and no more than 223 kPa.
  • All air all across the level must contain a certain amount of oxygen in order for the individual to remain able to breathe.
  • The approximate temperature across the level remains between -25°C (-13°F) and 60°C (140°F) under any and all circumstances.

Entities

To date, no sightings of entities have been reported within Level 475. This could be due to the level's ostensibly infinite space With as a result, the chances of an entity being encountered by anyone is extraordinarily minuscule of ever happening.

Entrances and Exits

Colonies and outposts

Due to the nature of Level 475, no colonies or outposts can be established.

Entrances

  • Level 475 can be accessed by accidentally noclipping from any level; however, the likelihood of this occurring is remarkably low.
  • Entering a Bright Blue Painted house in Level 120 can lead to this level.

Exits

  • Attempting to walk backwards without teleporting has a 1 in 156900 chance of occuring, with an additional 1 in 96400 chance of transporting you to a random level in the backrooms, however this has yet to be validated.

Extra Description

Level 475 is frequently referred to as a mental danger. Every teleportation a person undergoes will make them feel uneasy. This sensation of uneasiness will worsen with each teleportation this individual endures. The following is a list of experiences that correspond to how many steps are taken by someone.

  • No additional mental disbenefits. Uneasiness is not increased by Level 475's effects.

  • Minimal effects will occur, these typically are considered "just about noticable".
  • The sensation of being watched will occur, but most individuals will usually dismiss it as normal.

  • The sensation is worsening; It's nearly guaranteed to give someone a headache at this point.
  • The feeling of someone watching you becomes more intense.
  • Almond water can cure these effects.

  • Headaches will now be similar to a moderate tension headache.
  • Fear will arise as a result of the perception that someone or something is monitoring you.
  • Almond water can still alleviate discomfort.

  • HHeadaches will worsen to the point of migraine, one will be unable to think properly, and the tension will be regarded as "insane."
  • Sanity will drop dangerously low.
  • The sensation that someone or something is watching you will be intense, the individual is nearly certain that he/she is being watched.
  • Although almond water can alleviate the majority of the symptoms. It is not recommended that you journey any farther than this point.

  • Sanity has been dropped critically, the headache will become unbearable.
  • Clear thinking will become unattainable, all one will feel is fear and pain
  • Almond water will cease to work.
  • You are now the pray.

Your adventure has come to an end. Radios and other communication deviced do work in this level. inform htem, tell them your goodbyes. Nobody must fear death, it will make things worse. Stand still, and wait; The more you walk, the worser your fate will become. Afterall, there is nothing left to do. We are sorry.

Entities

There are an unknown amount of entities in Level 475. They are Level-exclusive, meaning that they are only present withion this level. They are frequently referred to as "Those who watch." These beings provide the impression that someone or something is observing them. They will always hide out of sight, and will only attack when they have lost patience or someone's sanity has deteriorated to severe levels. This entity is seemingly immune to Level 475's effects. On extraordinarily rare occations, wanderers can encounter unidentified entities resembling other entities or a species from the frontrooms, preferably the human (Homo Sapiens). However, these have also been viewed as other animals, particularly ones kept as pets or animals that are already known to the human race. These creatures are typically docile, and will seeminly completely ignore any wanderer at all occations, making contact with them virtually impractical. Aside from that, they normally behave in the same way as the animal they are impersonating. Just like "Those who watch over", they do display complete immunity to Level 475's Mental and physical effects.

... Does not exist. To offer those unfortunate folks a glimmer of hope, we must make an escape in the public file. However, the alterations must be minor such that the endeavor does not appear to be a forgery. Who knows, maybe death will work. This level, however, cannot be escaped onc trapped in it's infinite size of ure fear and danger. At least, not while living. Who knows.
