Level 517: “The Escaperooms”

Description

Level 517 is the 518th level of The Backrooms. There is no definite layout to this level, as there are an undetermined amount of segmented rooms in Level 517. Each room has a certain, complex puzzle in it that must be solved in order to move on to the next. Level 517 is oddly similar to an escape room puzzle game, to where you must complete puzzles in order to escape from some room or area. There are a near infinite range of puzzles in Level 517, although a few key similarities include, but are not limited to:

  • Puzzles involving torture and weapons
  • Puzzles with extremely high/low temperatures
  • Puzzles that mimic certain memories of an individual with the most traumatic experiences
  • Puzzles that feature extremely loud/soft noises
  • Puzzles that are trapped
  • Puzzles with select music playing
  • Puzzles that mimic reality and escaping from The Backrooms

Keeping mental stability in this level is very hard, as rooms and entities can take on different phobias of a person. Although commonly, the rooms can be claustrophobic and lonely when traveling alone. Puzzle rooms in this level can sometimes shift gradually to lead for new passageways. The main four rooms that can be taken as set in stone for their location.

Valuable Items

Level 517 can carry a lot of valuable items, due to the variety of puzzle rooms, and items that can be found in them, there are near infinite real items that can be found, as there are memory puzzle rooms.

Entities

Level 517 has at least three entities in every puzzle room. Trap rooms have at least 8.

Entities that can be found in these rooms can be:

  • Hounds
  • Smilers
  • Skin-Stealers
  • Death-Moths
  • Jerry
  • Facelings
  • Death-Rats
  • Howlers
  • Clumps

Rooms A-D

These four rooms are the first four rooms that do not switch locations over time, and are fully confirmed.

  1. Room A is a medieval torture room with various weapons, tables, and torture instruments. The room is mostly made out of wood and mossy stone bricks.
  2. Room B is an extremely dark room, but it is believed to be a sort a cave-like room, with a lot of jagged, sharp rocky surfaces, there are various deep holes segmented throughout this room.
  3. Room C is a room that is figured to be a classroom, with desks and chairs. The room also includes an empty bookshelf, a teachers desk, and a blank whiteboard.
  4. Room D is reminiscent of Level 2, with quite a lot of pipes lined against the wall, with the temperatures usually reaching up to *30 Celsius.


Colonies and Outposts

There have been no documented Colonies or Official Outposts due to the hazards and obstacles in Level 517.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

The only known entrance into Level 517 is to climb through a grate in Level 491, or to bust through the walls for a slim chance to appear in Level 517.

Exits

There is only one way to exit this level, and you will need to follow these steps in order.

  1. Go into Room D and flip an alarm.
  2. While the alarm is sounded, there should be a crank on one of the walls of Room C, pulling the crank will stop the alarm and being flooding the level with three feet of water, entities will vanish.
  3. Head back into Room D and an axe should've appeared on the floor, take it.
  4. Walk into the entrance, and break any of the walls. The walls have been weakened due to the water. go and break one of the walls of the entrance.
  5. Going through the broken wall will lead to Level 518
