Level53-1

Notice

The merely documented means to access Level 53 requires a wormhole event or noclipping, which can occur at any level but is particularly prevalent in Level 58. M.E.G. is actively searching for an accurate way to achieve the level because current entries are inconsistent and unpredictable. Consequently, M.E.G. attempts to facilitate further research and study while also aiming to prevent potential vandalism and demolition. Therefore, one should not dwell within the level upon entering. If visitors discover additional tracks to this level, please notify the M.E.G. outpost.

Description

Living room.

Level53-1

Level 53—a compact urban home with a layout reminiscent of a contemporary home—has an interior distinguished for its distinctive fashion, given that each room has specific furnishings and accent details, leading to a unique layout and adorning aesthetic. It's mainly defined by its vacant condition, with either almost or no furniture in virtually all the rooms, resulting in many rooms offering an abundance of unoccupied space. This property has housed occupants occasionally. Personal artifacts, including clothing, pictures, and intimate documents, may seen on particular furniture or scattered throughout the rooms.

Tan wall coverings and beige carpeting over hardwood floors, all in remarkably pristine shape and unaffected by any conceivable dirt or decay, are the primary traits of the house. Every entrance to the home's exterior is inaccessible given the impregnable textile. The house's windows capture a suburban landscape in the morning light: countless trees, lampposts, and walkways directing to neighboring homes. Many acknowledge the outside view represents an illusion, with the whole suburb still and constantly remaining at dawn, with no trace of a day-night cycle, although the theory has been uncharted.

Kitchen.

Level53-2

Once entering Level 53, one will find themselves in a living room on the residence's bottom floor. The living area holds two chairs around the corner, one wide sofa with cushions, and a glass table in the center. Despite the window's external light constantly flooding the room, a switch was present at the entryway, allowing one to turn on the ceiling light and the three functional lamps around the room. The living room features an enormous reflection over the couch and a large window with a red curtain displaying the front house's scenery with a balcony and neighboring suburban property. One doorway opens to the kitchen directly across from the window, while the other leads to the front door.

Based on such portals, one could ascend to further rooms downstairs of the house, totaling seven. The kitchen highlights the table counter filled by, above all, drawers and cupboards storing cooking equipment concurrently with a wood dinner table and chairs. The room's wallpaper appears white instead of tan, with gestures of being ripped away. Moreover, pottery and food containers are arranged separately on the cabinet, accompanied by belongings of every type, including a message affixed to the refrigerator. Aside from the door heading back to the living room, two other doorways in the kitchen connect with the stairwell or the bathroom.

Empty room.

Level53-4

If one proceeds to the front door in the living room, one ends up in an empty rectangle entry room with a white front door and a window. The nearby entryway is a practically empty, prolonged, narrow room with two windows covered with white curtains and some missing outlets on the walls. Despite all this, the room appears unusable—regardless of a chair with a television plugged into a nearby socket—contributing to the supposition that the area was formerly a living room. In the room, supplementary items include a wooden chair, a table with a lamp, and a captivating painting. A ceiling fan hangs on the ceiling alongside a pair of light fixtures; nevertheless, a single of the light switches holds a missing button, preventing it from being closed and remaining open.

The miniature bedroom links to this room, consisting of a beige bed with a floral design and an undersized chandelier. A walk through a different doorway in an empty chamber—leading one to a cleared patio room with a rotating ceiling—is an outstanding glass door at the patio room's corner exhibits a panoramic view, presumably of the house's rear, encompassing an unclogged concrete courtyard surrounded by a wood fence, with a handful other suburb house roofs and the dawn sky perceptible. The sliding glass door is securely locked from the outside, making all attempts to access it ineffective. This same level of security extends to the front entrance as well.

Stairwell.

Level53-3

Stairwells accessed from the kitchen and patio room extend to the residence's upper level. Upstairs is a balcony walkway enclosing an overlook opening to the downstairs, which is obstructed by a wood leak, as all doors adjacent to the balcony go to the remaining eight rooms on the house's second floor. Upon reaching the second level, the left hallway lies two entrances; one leads to the master bedroom, and the other to the tiny bedroom. Both include an old mattress on a wooden bed, while the remote bedroom offers two beds—each equipped with a pillow and blanket—alongside a table and chairs.

Conflicting with the downstairs, there are no light fixtures; although none, the primary light source originates from the ceiling fan, featuring light jointly. Although the main bedroom has a closet joined by one wooden door, alongside a handful of personal belongings and fabrics hanging from the steel, another bedroom doesn't have one, tending to be empty, despite being aware that the room possesses its bathroom. The tiny bedroom has numerous instances of astounding odd and bizarre designs—involving the window showing off an impassable wall—the lengthy corridor ushering to the bathroom, and the ceiling fan in the bathroom.

Upstairs living room.

Level53-6

A stroll around the balcony overlook endorses one to the location speculated to be living rooms. Those are unoccupied, with one linked to a tiny bedroom that's generally in equally good shape, albeit with missing fixtures or faucets. Parallel to the empty room downstairs—comprising a sofa for seating and no electronics or other technology to fulfill its intended role. Despite that, one room had indications of having devices, merely a DVD player and a Wi-Fi router plugged into the available socket. The chamber has a solely wood door, although impenetrable, despite seeming it doesn't require a lock and seemingly is aged and broken.

Studies disclose that the wooden doors reach the building limit boundary and leave little space beyond, suggesting that the entrance leads to the home balcony above the backyard. Entering an oblique angle door will take one to the living room-linked bedroom; in opposition to the remainder of the house's design, those appear in modern furnished and present-day attribute items, akin to newer polished peeking mattresses, futuristic lamps, and gray modern-looking wallpaper. These two living rooms highlight an issue regarding whether or not they perform any function, given that they share the same possessions, such as identical sofa seats and windows.

Level 53's nature

The precise nature of Level 53 rooms occasionally remains uncertain to newcomers due to their sparse furnishings and otherworldly layout design. Furthermore—when first entered—individuals often feel disoriented about the purpose and flow of the space, considering the unfamiliar layout space, as each room never seems used to belong in the same, given that every room's wallpaper and carpet have different shades as most rooms possess their distinctive style: the feeling of not being in a typical home, increasing the sensation of being out of place. Simultaneously, the protagonist of particular rooms routinely evokes visitor nostalgia, recalling them of locations from their past or dreams, accompanied by a sensation of familiarity: the liminality.

The unusual surroundings pique people's curiosity and interest, making them desire to comprehend more about the location's background and intended usage. Multiple investigators have noted that the house contains sealed voids, such as a filled dead space between the master bedroom and second bathroom and a thick wall near the stairwell. M.E.G. has endeavored a map of the two-story house. Therefore, each room seems to have different proportions and dimensions, with an attempt to piece the rooms together arising in an abnormal layout. Moreover, the home likely has more filled gaps, resulting in multiple thick wall locations.

Phenomena

Over time, Level 53 has hosted assessments of accounts from travelers/wanderers of various happenings and occurrences, with many exhibiting similar tendencies and patterns. Such a verified phenomenon is the "Mandela Effect," referencing the experiences of guests who vacate a home after a brief visit. Visual representations of a photo and data extend outwards as some could find it complex to balance their confident and vivid recollections with the image or information of the actual home. People have already experienced false memories; they may determine furniture arrangement and style, objects, or even the room's exact measurements differently compared to what is the case.

Although it has a subtle yet widespread impact on the cognitive abilities of individuals who enter, it leads them to reminisce about the interiors of the inaccurate room descriptions misreporting information about the levels can lead to confusion. The house has an odd quality that alters one's emotions, with a tinge of melancholy, weariness, and possibly emotional shifts that might affect how individuals perceive the house. Furthermore, the illumination in the house seems to change over time, reaching brightness as high as the ones of Level 0. Therefore, the ceiling light fixtures have irregular brightness levels that shift gradually without anyone recognizing it, affecting how the interior view is interpreted and providing the matching room with a distinct look at times.

The windows on this level have the potential to create additional illusions, including a perspective shift to a different location, distorted views, and, most notably, variations in the appearance of the outside suburb, ranging from black and white panoramas to other visual effects. Lasting for a few minutes—typically occurs when travelers enter the level for the initial time. The sight will return to normal if they don't pay attention or look away. A handful of suspected unusual and unexplained activity outside the home has been a false illusion. Despite the unchartered data, a staggering number of accounts from wanderers attempt to claim that an unknown person or creature exists within the level's bounds; the majority describes an unavoidable sense that one more individual is there with said wanderer(s) than should be.

These claims, which typically come from extended—stay visitors, encompass hearing footsteps and furniture moving, breathing, or whimpering without being able to pinpoint the source, as further investigation would likely deny and prove otherwise. Several other details of banging and striking sounds emerge from beneath the thick wall, triggering the belief that the place may retain unknown and uncharted rooms, possibly locked off space and inaccessible. Moreover, subtle sounds, including vibrations in the house, may become noticeable. For instance, when the house is frequently silent, it adds even more to the paranoid sensation.

The procedure induces a sense of scopophobia, negatively impacting the wanderer's mental well-being. This causes individuals to feel uneasy or uncomfortable. The longer one resides in this situation, the worse it becomes, leading to a heightened awareness of vulnerability and a growing discomfort, possibly causing depression in wanderers. The sufferer may start witnessing something observing them from a distance, generally meters away, getting worse the more one stays. If one investigates or pays close attention, the individual eventually will disappear. Third-party observers can't distinguish any people watching the target.

If someone tries to capture, record, or take a picture of the people or thing allegedly observing the target, it'll instantly disappear; consequently, no concrete proof of its existence has been established. The watchers seem to be hallucinations, and descriptions of the individuals are fragmentary and lack consistent traits, so it's assumed for the time being that such accounts are simply manifestations of anxiety or paranoia in wanderers' minds playing illusions on their senses as a consequence of the level's darkness and eclectic nature noise.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

As previously stated, Level 53 is only accessible via a wormhole event, with most instances occurring inside Level 58 Level 50, or Level 52. Several reports assert that approaching a random residence in Level 9 has an excessively low likelihood of advancing to this level, while this allegation is pending verification.

Exits

If one enters by a wormhole event, they may readily use the same wormhole that took them here to travel to Level 54. The wormhole, however, only lasted for around ten minutes before fading. Likewise, the wormhole occurrence may reappear within the house, or one could noclip and depart the level. Noclipping during the wormhole event may lead to Level 80.
