Description
One of only two confirmed pictures of The Unthoughtful. Taken within the last 5 years.
The Unthoughtful looks and sounds completely empty upon entry, often leading Wanderers to believe they are stuck in The Void. However, Wanderers are able to walk on a seemingly invisible Tarmac Surface. After approx. 30 minutes of being in The Unthoughtful, Wanderers begin to get strongly visible memories, most of which being from their Childhood. These memories seem to be altered, with characters, objects, and environments from these memories reportedly being absent according to witnesses or characters in the actual memories. Due to the strength of these memories, Wanderers are often unable to recall what actually happened, which can, in certain cases, severely alter a person's behavior. Reportedly, drinking several bottles of Almond Water may be able to temporarily cure these altered memories, however, most objects may take over half an hour of walking to encounter.
The Unthoughtful is one of the few Class 2 levels where it is advised to sleep and take naps. Sleeping reportedly increases the chances of Wanderers finding useful supplies, such as Almond Water. It is strongly advised to keep track of how many times you sleep or take a nap, if possible. After you wake up for the 64th time, the level will divide into 4 Regions, known as 01723%, 41328%, 99122%, and 99998%. You will know what region you are in based on the Ambience. 99122% and 99998% both have a buzzing sound, similar to that of Level 0. These Regions should be avoided at all costs, as they hold some of the most hostile entities in The Backrooms. 01723% has an ambience similar to a Waterfall. This region only contains 1 hostile enemy - The Hound. This region also contains the most bottles of Almond Water in the Level. 41328% has no ambience, and it is recommended you stay there. It holds the easiest & safest Exit in the level. In this region, if you see a bottle labeled "Better Almond Water", DO NOT DRINK IT WHATSOEVER. It is highly dangerous, some speculate it to have worse effects than Liquid Pain.
If one wanders far enough, they will find themselves at an Abandoned Wild West style building, featuring a sign reading "A Familiar Feeling". The contents of the building are unknown, as entering the building immediately sends you to Level 11. It is the only known structure in The Unthoughtful.

Entrances and Exits
The Extremely Rare "Floor Glitch" found in The Unthoughtful. Taken ~1992.
Entrances
- In Level 9, find a Blue vehicle similar in design to a 1993 Chevrolet Camaro. Break into it, then noclip through the driver's seat. This will send you here.
- In Level 110, travel exactly 9,188 miles (14,786.65 km), then noclip through any surface. This will also send you here.
- In Level ∞, board a plane, then noclip through the floor in the cockpit. This will teleport you directly next to a bottle of Almond Water in this level.
Exits
- On your 99th time awake, take exactly 2,424 steps in any direction. Then, noclip through the ground. This will lead you to Level a.
- There is a very small (1 in 3,302,912) chance you can find a glitch in The Unthoughtful, where a portion of the floor will be completely white, almost blinding. Simply falling through this glitch will take you to The Frontrooms. Be careful when using this method, as there is a considerable chance it might send you to Level -0 instead.
- Entering the building found in 41328% will take you to Level 11.
Trivia
- Despite The Unthoughtful's other nickname, Level (17-e), the level has no connection to Level 17.
- A colony with over 250 members called "The Dark Ones" existed in The Unthoughtful from 1976 to 2005. The colony leader died on Christmas Eve 2005 from a Deathmoth Attack, causing the colony to devolve into complete chaos, and eventually being disbanded.
