Level 587: "The Hotel"
Level 587 is the 589th level of the Backrooms.
Description
A picture taken of Level 587 by an anonymous source.
Level 587 is a seemingly infinite hotel, resembling an average hotel in the Frontrooms. Every floor consists of 50 rooms, each one numbered with their respective room numbers. These doors will either have a label hanging off the doorknob labeled "do not disturb", or will not have a label at all. It is advised to not go into rooms with labels on them, as there will be a resident who is inside, and will become aggressive once they see you.
There is a 50% chance for every window in level 587 to be [1]a Window. Caution is advised while approaching these windows, as the figures that would usually be standing directly behind the glass are seen instead on the ground, further away from the physical window. Despite this, it still holds the same anomalous properties a normal window would. If you see a sun where the sun is not meant to be in a window, do not approach.
Every room is identical to one another. Each room consists of a main room and a bathroom, the bathroom containing a shower, a sink, towels, and small, sample-sized portions of both shampoo and conditioner. When you first walk into the room, the bathroom will be on your right, and a small hallway will lead to the main room. Inside the main room is a small kitchen, a TV, a queen sized bed, and a chair overlooking multiple floor-to-ceiling windows. There will be almond water and snacks sitting on the counter near a small fridge. Do not touch them. Once touched, a precious item will be taken off your person. If you have no items of value on you, vital organs will be taken.
At the bottom floor resides The Manager and the breakfast buffet. This food is safe to eat, with no anomalous properties. It is restocked every twelve hours, seemingly by The Manager. Is guarded by "The Breakfast Club".
No-clipping through any hotel door will take you to the level number that is on the door. This effect stops at 6000, any room above that instead taking you to The Void. Beware of clumps if you choose to walk out of the main lobby door.
Entities
There are three types of entities that reside in level 587. Windows, residents, and The Manager.
Residents
Residents are walking skeletons with blood dripping from the places where veins would normally reside on a human body, and are capable of human speech. Residents are not inherently hostile, and will not attack and may even be pleasant, depending on the Resident. If you go into one of their rooms (a room with a "do not disturb" sign on the door), they will immediately become hostile and try to feed you to the Windows. They seem to have a symbiotic relationship with the Windows, feeding wanderers who disturb them or are aggressive to them. Despite their boniness and lack of muscle tissue, Residents have much more strength than that of the average human, although are slower than a human.
The Manager
There is only one Manager in level 587. It is a humanoid entity that seems to be innately connected to level 587. It is physically connected to the floor of the hotel, and cannot lift itself off of the ground. It is able to change anything about the level, and is usually passive when you first arrive. However, if you stay in the hotel for too long of a time (approx. 24 hours), it will begin to become increasingly more aggressive, starting with "pranks" to disturb the wanderer, which slowly become to the scale of full on mental torture. You can stop this by giving it precious items as payment for staying at the hotel. It will not usually speak, but is capable of it.
Colonies and Outposts
There is one documented colony on level 587, called "The Breakfast Club". This colony protects the breakfast buffet, and seem to have a good relationship with both the Residents of the hotel as well as The Manager, members going out to other levels and coming back with precious items to pay for their stay. If aggravated, will be passive aggressive and will purposefully give poor advice to wanderers.
- ~20 members
- Willing to trade
- Only objective is to guard the breakfast buffet

Description
Level Fun takes the appearance of a children's birthday partyroom, having colorful table settings, what appears to be cake, and murals painted on the walls. Level Fun is the main habitat and main base of the Partygoers. Due to the Partygoer's advanced knowledge of noclipping to the point of creating quantum tunnels to find prey, there are massive numbers of entrances and exits to Level Fun, and one never quite knows if they've entered one or not. Level Fun is large but finite, at around 120,000 square miles of space. Partygoers are virtually everywhere in the level, and can be found either out in the open or behind constructed cover. Nowhere is safe. If you end up here and only have time to read the summary, tune into Level Fun radio frequency 101.5. A volunteer operative should be repeating directions.
