Level 588 is the 589th level of The Backrooms, although it's existence is partially unconfirmed. The informations are dated back to 2018, from a group of survivors.

Description

Level 588 is rumoured to be a never-ending street, it's always cloudy with fog in the distance. You can encounter some cars, however most of them don't have gas. You rarely can find 500 ml bottles of almond water inside them.

A representation of what could be Level 588.

The houses are just like the ones on the normal world, except most of the times there aren't people inside. You can also find stock of almond water and food inside. Due to the nature of this level, there aren't a lot of people living here, and that results in a low level of colonies and outposts.

This level doesn't really have a day and night cycle, it is always between 16:00 and 18:00. The Wi-Fi connection in this level is pretty bad, so it may take some time to communicate with someone inside Level 588.

Entities

It is rumoured that smilers inhabit some houses, but we don't have proof of it, so that possibility is discarded.

Colonies and Outposts

The Stuck Family

  • 10-20 people living in 4 different houses;
  • They wander around other houses to gather resources;
  • Last time they had contact with the normal world was 3 years ago, the informations here are based on them;
  • Friendly, they trade resources with also friendly survivors.

Entrances

To enter Level 588, you can no-clip in Level 587 near a source of light with no entities around you. There is a slight chance you can enter here by walking around Level 188 and finding a house-like room. If you walk long enough in Level 2540, you can also enter here.

One may also end up in one of the houses in this level if you sleep on the floor under a bed from Level 925

Exits

To exit Level 588, try to find a mansion around number 7.592 and go to the second floor. There, enter the second bedroom at the left. Type "έννοια" in the computer. If everything goes right, you will no-clip to Level 595. If you type "Iguaçu", you will go to Level 234. If it goes wrong, you will return to the mono-yellow madness of Level 0. Good luck.
