Description
Level 598, or the Hotel Hallway, is a hotel hall way that continuously extends, when you believe you come to the end of the hall way, you don't. It has manila walls with a square pattern carpet, and each room has a number that starts with 2 and you exit from the window on the floor, but the moment you look away from the window it disappears and the continuation of the hallway appears. The numbers on the doors exponentially increase, there is no limit, if you started at 300 and walked continuously you could find yourself at 35435323.
The number variation that has been noted by a individual who has escaped between starting and elevators (S-E) elevators and elevators (E-E), elevators and open hotel rooms Hostile or Docile (E-H-(S or H)) elevators and the exit (E-Ex) are as follows: 301-343 (S-E) 4134-4313 (E-H-H), 4313-4900 (H-H-E), 500-5647 (E-H-S), 5647-5939 (H-S-E), 623-6987 (E-H-H), 6987-6999 (H-H-E), 750-721 (E-E), 810-876673 (E-H-S), 876673-890987 (H-S-H-H), 890987-8400321 (H-H-E), 943-973 (E-Ex). Anatomy of 598
The Hotel Doors
The hotel Doors are plain wooden doors with a handle and a plastic card reader. They have a number, but the final or beginning number has not been solved. When you start on a new floor the beginning number can have a indescribable range of numbers.
There are very few hotel doors that actually open, but that depends on how you open the doors. Sometimes the doors are unlocked and you are allowed to enter and sometimes while moving to the next level in the elevator you might find a keycard in your pocket or hand with a randomly generated number on it, but it will always start with the level number you are going to.
This is very rare, but it is your best bet at moving to the next level. But be warned if you enter an unlocked door, unannounced and not allowed you will find the "Visitors" No one has ever returned from the visitors, so unlocked rooms are extremely dangerous.
The Hotel doors themselves are relatively normal, but the fact you can enter one and never leave horrifies people.
The Elevator Alcove
In the Elevator Alcove there is a vending machine with a limited selection of food to eat, there is no need for money as just pressing the button seems to work, there is an ice machine, but the ice is missing or has not been restocked yet, there is two chairs and a small table, the wall is also different as there is different patterns on the wall for each hotel layer, but the carpet is also the same. The ceiling is also an exact copy as the hotel hallways.
There is an elevator alcove every so often, but that just leads to another hallway, but instead of the rooms starting with a 3, they start with a four. The down button is non-existent in these elevators and after numerous tries there is no conceivable way to go back down, it is as if what you left behind never existed.
The elevator call button works, but the down button is non-existent once again. Once you call an elevator, it will always be there, the second you push it is when one of the two open to you.
There are two elevators usable to you, but neither have more than three buttons, one to go up, one to close the elevator, and one to open the elevator, It is a standard elevator with no music, but the standard rumble of an elevator.
Once you leave the elevator you are welcome to stay in the alcove for as long as you like, but once you leave the alcove it vanishes.
The Hotel Room and the Keycard
The room is an average sized room with average furniture. It has a yellowish manila walls and a shorthair carpet floor. The bathroom has towels and amenities for use and has a black white tiled floor.
If you obtain a keycard for a room you can drag your keycard against the scanner and enter the room, when you enter the room you will find restroom immediately to your left and a short hallway in front, when you continue you will find two beds, a tv, two desks, a tv stand, 1 chair, two ottomans, two nightstands, a fridge, and a microwave.
All the appliances work except for the TV, which shows static with 3 words on the screen "THE VISTORS WELCOME" Note: It is suggested not to make contact with the visitors.
The fridge will be continuously filled with food and the microwave constantly is able to cook it. The AC works and so does the heater, all the lights work, The toilet works and the shower works with both hot and cold water.
The Hotel rooms are a safe haven for those that have walked for thousands of rooms to find the keycard that matches the room number. Which the number is written on the back and may be so big it circles the card, hopefully that isn't you.
The card itself is a small lime green plastic card with the number written on the back of it. It can appear while transitioning between rooms, but has a large chance to not appear at all.
The card can either appear in your hand or in your pockets, if you have any. It will not make it's presence known so you must look for it, but if you drop it. You best not drop it.
The Hotel Windows
The Hotel windows are a somewhat minor part of this layer, but they are important to document as the oddness of them is peculiar. Every Hotel room has one window, the window connects to the real world as a random hotel view around the world, but it is futile to break it as any attempt to break it allows the "Visitors" to invade your room. If you attempt to break the window, the TV will flash on and warn you of their policy against defacing hotel property. The few views that have been documented were, a Hotel view in Dallas, Texas, USA, a Hotel view in Elkins, West Virginia, USA, and a hotel view from Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Colonies or Outposts
There are no colonies.
There is One outpost in Room 2455354, for the people who never stopped walking in the level they started in.
Entities
The entities here are named Visitors by the layer, there are no accounts of what they look like as all people who have met the Visitors never return. It is impossible to encounter a visitor in the hallways, but unlocked rooms often harbor Visitors. The Visitors will also apparently appear when attempting to deface the hotel room or hallway. The Visitors are extremely dangerous and should not be interacted with, there is almost certainly no negotiation with Visitors. The Visitor keep to themselves, as long as you avoid Unlocked rooms and vandalism, you will not encounter them.
