Level 619 is the 620th level of the Backrooms.
Contents
Description
Level 619 is what used to be described as an oasis within the Backrooms. However, this ended 7 years ago. 7 years ago, this level was Class Habitable, and was inhabited by mainly farmers and entity farmers. Also, a large quantity of B.N.T.G members and miners used to be here due to the rich amount of resources found in this level. However, this level is now extremely dangerous due to numerous careless events caused by wanderers. Upon entering this level, you'll be in a cave. However, within 300 meters of spawn, there will be an exit to the outside. The outside is mainly empty except for grass and trees, and numerous large mountains, which have mineshafts and cave systems inside. Cave systems appear larger in the inside, rather than the outside. Many abandoned houses are on the outside, however wanderers used to live in them. There is also a neighborhood at the outside. This will be gone more into depth further in this page. There will also be a history section, describing the past of this level.
Cave Zones
This section of the level is mainly caves made of numerous stone types. There are also lots of mineral deposits the further you go, however this is not advised as this area is an infestation hell of moving fungi and Smilers. This area is home to many abandoned mines and outposts, so you may be able to find resources here. Also, many tools such as pickaxes and drills are found here, however, they appear to be rotting, and most have a poisonous fungus species growing on them. This zone is rewarding while also being extremely dangerous. Rarely, you may find a door that enters a high-tech bunker, however, this is not advised as entities roam these areas, and many bunkers are highly unstable, and could collapse any day. Another tidbit about the caves is the fact there are rivers full of Liquid Pain mixed with Almond Water. Obviously, you should not drink the liquid, however, before the events that caused this level to become a wasteland, these rivers were a great source for drinks.
Surface Zones
There are a couple areas on the surface. The surface is primarily safe and is home to a single outpost. The first surface zone are the plains and ranges, which, as the name suggests, are flat and are surrounded by mountains. Trees and grass live in these areas, however, be warned as some holes can be found and you do not want to go into these. The next zone are neighborhoods. Some naturally occur, while others are built by colonies. However, many houses in the very old and abandoned neighborhoods are infested with Smilers and Clumps. The final surface zone are mountain tops. These areas are the safest, however have numerous natural hazards, such as bumpy terrain. But, some abandoned houses are found here, and usually have no entities.
Level 619 Historical Archive
This is an archive of Level 619 from 7 years to over 100 years into the past of most important details.
Many years ago, this level was Class Habitable. It was a hotspot for traders, farmers, and miners. The surface area was a great place to live with other wanderers, and a great place for sustainable gardening. The caves and mines were the some of the best places for pure Almond Water and many mineral deposits in the entire Backrooms. The level was discovered in the late 1910s by an unnamed explorer. There were about 14 largely-recognized outposts in the 1950s, however many went undocumented except for "B.N.T.G - Oasis". Over 3 million people called this place home, and no entities to terrorize everyone. Before the Fun War, Partypoopers roamed here, but not many, and shortly left about 17 years ago. They only stayed for 4 years before leaving. The beginning of hell started 50 years ago, when an Entity Farmer brought in fungi species from other levels and Smilers. However, the entities were contained in specialized containers found within the bunkers. For about 20 years, nothing really happened, except fungi started expanding throughout the caves, but people knew to avoid them. However, when Amor Incrumentum moved into this level 25 years ago, fungi spread like wildfire as they would create their own fungi farms and would tend to them frequently. This fungi also allowed Smiler enclosures to rot, the entities were able to escape, making this level from Class Habitable to Class 2. However, despite this, the population of this level grew to 7 million inhabitants, which, in theory, gave the Smilers a steady food source. This caused Smilers to rapidly overpopulate, and many cave outposts and bases became impossible to sustain. This did not stop miners, though. Miners slowly used explosives, in order to kill entities while also helping out with digging and finding minerals. However, due to the carelessness of the bomb detonation, a gigantic pocket of Liquid Pain, which takes up a large amount of the deep area, was found. This was too late. Occurring 15 years ago, almost all of the local Almond Water rivers were contaminated, rendering the caves permanently uninhabitable for long-term survival. Also, around this time, many Smilers had adapted to the environment, and almost fused with the fungi, causing Smilers to spread diseases while also being physically violent. Many fungi from outside contact also evolved with other fungi to form poisonous, fatal, fungi that can emit spores which can cause infections in wanderers and even other entities, besides the enhanced Smilers. Around this time, Level 619 had truly hit it's downfall, but things only get worse. 5 years after the contamination, the fungi had grown outside of the caves, and due to an unknown cause, Clumps started appearing within Level 619. Many houses had become abandoned at this point, as the population had either moved away or had been killed by the entities. The population of this level of when the contamination occurred was only about 2000, however since entities took over the abandoned outposts and towns, the population of this level is around 50-100. That is all of the main archived information about Level 619's past.
Entities
- Partypoopers - Stayed from early 2002 to late 2006, about 600 of them inhabited this level before moving away.
- Smilers - Unnative, introduced in the early 1970s. Still inhabits this level, along with infectious Smilers, which are simply regular Smilers that have a symbiotic relationship with poisonous fungi. Avoid all Smilers at all costs.
- Numerous Fungi Species - Many are native, while some are not. Avoid any mold or mushrooms inside of this level, as they emit spores that can cause infections or may be fatal. If you see or enter a cave filled with thick brown fog, run as fast as you can away from the area as you are approaching an area full of fungi and infected Smilers.
- Clumps - Unnative(?), introduced in 2012 and have not left. Acts similar to most Clumps on other levels, however, some fungi species can lower a Clump's health substantially. These entities have been seen being eaten by Smilers, while this entity has also adapted to consume native fungi species.
- Birds - Mainly seagulls and doves, usually consume fruits and leaves from trees. These bird species are mainly hunted by Clumps, however Smilers avoid consuming birds as Smilers need to seek shelter in darkness to survive.
Colonies and Outposts
- B.N.T.G - Oasis - Not much is known about this colony, however, they were responsible for many mining outposts and trading colonies. Presumed to have peaked at 500000 members. Long-gone at this point.
- Farming Groups - Many farming groups had grown cultivated mushrooms, however these are long-gone.
- Mining Groups - Many are undocumented, however, are the cause of many mines. Long-gone as of the incidents.
- M.E.G Base - Resourcefulness - This base consisted of over 200000 members at it's peak. Consisted of mainly scientists and guards, however the population of this group moved from the area. This base mainly researched the properties and life of Level 619. Surprisingly, this base is still around. As seen in the photograph at the top of the page, they have a small base consisting of about 9 scientists and 3 guards.
- Outcasts - Not really an outpost, base, or colony, but the estimated amount of people living out on the mountain tops. There are about over 750 people who survive on the tops of mountains, and get resources by hunting and travelling.
Entrances and Exits
There are 4 documented entrances to Level 619.
- Entering a gray, bumpy, slide without water in Level 615 will bring you to this level.
- Noclipping through a stone ceiling in any negative level will bring you to this level.
- Noclipping inside of a minecart will bring you to this level.
- Finding a special tunnel with rivers on each side inside of Level 8 will bring you here, however this entrance has not been seen in years. It was last documented right before the rivers in Level 619 were contaminated.
There are 3 documented exits out of Level 619.
- Finding a bunker and finding a door labelled "20" will bring you to Level 620.
- Noclipping inside of a river will send you to an aquatic level, usually Level 7 or a sublevel of Level 7. However, this may kill you as the rivers are now contaminated with liquid pain.
- Finding a long, cylindrical cave, and travelling through it for 3.14 kilometers to reach the end will teleport you to Level π, however, if someone is already in the level, you will be sent to a random level within the first 50, except for Level 6.
