Description
Level 69 is an infinite motel, which accommodates an infinite amount of wanderers and facelings. The motel is located in a desert, which flourishes cacti and other plants adapted to the dry environment. Each room is numbered from 1 to ∞. The rooms are made with white drywall and have white gable-style roofs. Each room has its own ventilation system and is equipped with cable TVs. All rooms have small refrigerators that can hold up to 6 bottles of Almond Water. The refrigerators are resupplied every morning. Odd-numbered rooms have one double bed, and even-numbered rooms have two single beds. The asphalt road which is perpendicularly linked to the motel is surrounded by hills and mountains. Each and every one of Level 69's rooms offer free, however mediocre quality, Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi's password is "Hilbert69", with a capital "H".
Level 69 is home to many research institutes, dedicated to studying Hilbert's Hotel paradox. The strange properties of this level, as well as it's reputation for serving as a home to many sex workers, is what makes it famous, among both travelers and researchers. These scientific organizations have established bases inside rooms, where they observe and run tests with Level 69's properties. A portion of tests conducted in Level 69 are confidential, but other logs are open to the public. Due to the Wi-Fi's strength, or rather the lack of, it is common for research groups to occupy several consecutive rooms in order not to overuse a single router device.
Colonies and Outposts
There are currently 4 documented colonies and outposts in Level 69. All occupying rooms are current, and subject to change due to events.
Outpost Beta of the Major Explorer Group
- Population of around 54 researchers.
- Friendly but not willing to trade.
- Research focused on relaying useful information to the M.E.G's Editorial Council (and some under it.)
Kauer Mathematical Anomalies Research Outpost
- Consists of about 8 researchers.
- Private and not open to trade.
- All their research is confidential.
Kevin's PhD Thesis
- Population of 1 researcher, Kevin.
- Very friendly, open to trade.
- Kevin is working on his Mathematics PhD Thesis on the Hilbert's Hotel Paradox, good luck Kevin!
Stellar Wicked Services
- Population of 562875 sex workers.
- Open to "trade" if you know what I mean.
- Either occupying their client's rooms or waiting for a client outside.
- Make sure to use protection.
Entities
The Motel Manager is an entity exclusive to Level 69. It is a faceling that occupies a medium shed on the side of the road, next to a neon motel sign, at Level 69's spawn, A.K.A. the motel's entrance. This entity is responsible for the intake of buses filled with explorers and regular facelings, the assignment of rooms and the motel's infinite budget that always seems to be spent on infinite supplies of Almond Water.
The Driver is an entity which resides in, but not exclusively, Level 69. It is yet another faceling which is responsible for driving the numerous buses that take people to the motel.
Regular Facelings are extremely common entities in Level 69. There are at least an infinite amount of facelings in Level 69. These facelings arrive in buses, just like wanderers, and occupy the infinite missing seats wanderers can not occupy. In Level 69 most facelings are adults, and will not set up traps or harm wanderers.
It is possible to interact with all of these entities, however they cannot be harmed.
Events
Events are rather rare occurrences in Level 69, and are the main focus of researchers who reside in the level. These events occur when one or infinitely more wanderers enter the level.
New Arrivals
This event occurs when a wanderer reaches Level 69 without taking a bus. All the facelings and wanderers occupying rooms in Level 69 will move to the next room. For example: someone in room 5 would move to room 6, and so on to infinity.
Infinite Passenger Buses
This event occurs when a bus carrying an infinite amount of passengers arrives at the motel. All wanderers and facelings occupying the rooms in Level 69 will move to a new room, whose number's is twice their last room's number. This allows for a infinite amount of new wanderers and facelings to occupy the infinite number of odd-numbered rooms.
Infinite Infinite Passenger Buses
This event occurs when an infinite amount of buses carrying an infinite amount of passengers arrives at the motel. If this event occurs, all the wanderers and facelings occupying rooms in Level 69 will move to room 2, the first prime number, to the power of their current room. This means that a wanderer or faceling occupying room 4 will move to room 24, or room 16. Then, each bus will be assigned to unique prime number, in increasing order. The passengers on the first bus, for example, will go to the room 3 to the power of their seat number. This means that a wanderer or faceling seating in the fifth seat of the second bus will go to room 35, or room 243. This allows for an infinite number of infinite new wanderers and facelings to occupy a unique room. This will create many vacant rooms such as room 6, which is not a power of any prime number. These vacant rooms will be then filled with facelings who will spawn inside them.
Rain
The name describes it all.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- Go into room 69 in Level 162 to enter this level.
- Taking a really, really long bus in Level 9, Level 11, or Level 3985 will take you here.
Exits
- Change the cable TV's channel to go to Level TV.
- Stay in the bus after all the passengers have exited to be taken by the driver to Level 4004. Alternatively, board the bus after all the passengers have exited to end up in the same level.
- Noclipping into the room's wall will take you to Level 143.
- Noclip onto a road when it rains to enter Level 26.
