Level 708 is the 709th level of the Backrooms.
Description
The starting booth captured by an unknown wanderer, he is presumed to be in Level 1738. Remember to get out immediately.
Level 708 seems to be a complex that resembles a modern day karaoke lounge. You will spawn in a themed booth; In the front, there is a large TV screen on a stand that is connected to a karaoke machine, and in the back there are 2 sofas and a large table in between. Once in, you will start feeling a magnetic attraction towards the karaoke machine. If you turn it on and sing, you will start feeling free and weightless. You will be tempted to continue singing, and without knowing it, hours, days, and even decades will pass. The longer you sing the more depressed you will get as the song lyrics start reminding you more and more of those you love and those you miss outside of the backrooms. One wanderer stumbled across this level in 1840, and got out in 2013. It is possible that close "family" or "friends" may appear on the sofas when you start singing. They will sing and talk with you, prompting you to stay. It is highly advised to get out of the booth immediately due to the present mental hazard, but DO NOT take the fire exit, as that will land you in Level !.

Once out, you will find yourself in a hallway, with multiple other booths. In these booths, you will find a large amount of entities that could potentially be extremely dangerous. Known entities that have been known to lurk in the booths include: Facelings, Partygoers, Smilers, and Hounds, with facelings and partygoers being the most common. They are quite aggressive if provoked so make sure to be quiet and NOT stare in the booths. The farther you wander, the brighter the halls will be, this will eventually lead you to find a booth that is extremely bright but empty, this will lead you to Level 5.1. Some wanderers have reported an ominous presence from this booth. M.E.G agents have hypothesized that the hypothetical Beast of Level 5 hangs out here from time to time due to a rupture likely caused by a partygoer. Going after you find the empty booth, can get you transported to The End, or it will keep going. If you continue, the halls will get darker quite quickly, and the ambient hall music will get distorted and melancholy. After a while, your mental health will become questionable and you will have significant urges to turn back. You may spot a couple of insanities on the way. We have no idea what happens if you keep going, but our sources suggest that you end up in Level 708.8. While wandering, look for an employee only door, this will lead you to Level 40. Additionally, there may be a very rare flyer that advertises a vacation spot on a billboard. If you touch this, you will either get transported to Level 37 or Level 1738.
Note that no-clipping anywhere in this level that is not a corner will lead you to Level Fun, and no-clipping in a corner will put you inside a karaoke booth full of partying entities.
If all things fail and you are in imminent danger, sing a hymn to go to Level HEAVEN or promise to never sing again. This may or may not do something like send you to Level -1 in mercy. If you break this promise you will go to Level 38.
Colonies and Outposts
Due to the danger of this level, there are no colonies or outposts.
People permanently residing in Level 1738 have tried establishing tiny outposts to help wanderers escape to their level by pointing out where flyers are, but many of these are abandoned for unknown reasons. The people who manned them are alive, but they don't remember what happened.
