+++ Description
Outside of the convenience store, Level 711 is a suburban town at midnight. The construction and amenities match with the American Midwest, specifically in the late 2000s. When first no-clipping into the level, wanderers will be placed before the entrance of a 7/11 store. This store constantly produces light through the neon signs, and is the only other source of natural light in the level outside of the moon and stars. Other doorways in Level 711 that are not connected to the convince store are often boarded shut. These boards are usually made out of plywood, and do not take much effort to tear down. Within the other buildings, no features have been added, leaving many with only the bare minimum of appliances.
All street lamps in Level 711 do not have any bulbs, and any vehicles are disabled in some way. This disabling of vehicles can be airless tires, boots attached to cars, or the removal of steering equipment. All models found in Level 711 reflect the types of vehicles produced and commonly used circa 2008. The climate of level 711 does not veer far from warm temperatures, with additional meteorological phenomenons being very rare.
The interior of the 7/11 in Level 711 possess a very quickly shifting layout. Many have described the feeling being of intense whiplash as they move through the store. The store is much larger upon entry, with changes often adding and subtracting new levels to the convenience store. These changes seem to have no impact on the exterior. The placement of foodstuffs along with other products changes greatly, leaving many confused while exploring. Furthermore, many of the hallways are messy, making exploring the store more difficult.
The interior colors of Level 711's store seem to change around frequently too. This rapid change of colors alongside the layout has lead to some suspicion about it triggering epileptic response out of those afflicted. However, testing has shown that a majority of those with epilepsy are unaffected by Level 711's properties outside of standard discomfort and confusion. Though there are rare cases, much of these responses have been negligible to the overall testing of the 7\11.
All products withing 7/11 remain consistent, no matter the variance of movement and updates within the overall layout. These products always match exactly to ones found in the frontrooms, and display no unique properties as well. Discoveries of such have lead Level 711 to be a common point for restocking for the more exploration focused wanderers.
+++ Hazards
The only known risk when traveling through Level 711 is what is colloquially referred to as blending. Blending occurs exclusively in the 7/11 store, with no known appearances among other levels or within Level 711. Blending is the quick movement of the store, either it's layout, the products within it, or other wanderers traveling through the convince store. While this occurs, items and individuals can move upward of 30km/h, which may lead to harm on those struck by them. Oddly enough, the harm that results from blending only seems to appear on smaller items or otherwise construction that would be nonfatal if a wanderer was struck by it.
Additionally, because of the blending, Wanderers in Level 711 will have a consistently high walking pace, one unnatural to them and significantly faster than the average walking speed. This also ranges around 30km/h, with variance dependent based on the wanderers weight and other physical traits. The only results from striking objects while they're blending in Level 711 is noticeable discomfort and pain. There have been no cases of broken bones or more life threatening injuries from blending.
+++ Bases
The Backrooms Colonists' outpost, also known as "Council", houses 342 people and is posted in the northwest section of Level 711 inside the town hall. Most interactions with the group have been positive, and they have shown willingness to trade more elusive resources.
One of the larger bases of Backrooms Today, nicknamed "Printing", the outpost holds 241 people and takes the entirety of one of the streets in level 711. They often do small group missions into the market to acquire resources, with teams between 3 and 10 of them. Additionally, this outpost seems to be a major point for printing paper copies of the Backrooms Today. Residents in this base appear neutral to outsiders, and are often unwilling to engage beyond simple discussion.
The most noteworthy establishment in Level 711. Greater Suburbia takes up 20 streets, with a mix of camps, houses, and other mixes means of habitation. The population has peaked at 56,333 wanderers, but it averages around 48 thousand usually. The "mayor" of the colony has been very open about bringing in new wanderers, as long as they agree to assist the greater community in maintaining the outpost.
