Level 71 is the 72nd level of The Backrooms, and one of the most ominous and sinister at that. This level should be avoided at all costs.

Description
Level 71 is very much unknown, but the two descriptions available vary significantly. There are a few common things between the descriptions, such as:
- Wanderers experiencing a sense of impending doom.
- The level taking the form of the wanderer's worst fears.
Here are the 2 available descriptions:
Fear: Being forgotten.
Result: Wanderer managed to break down the front door and escape to Level 11.
This instance of Level 71 was the wanderer's previous home. The doors were locked, the windows were blacked out and all the lights were off. The wanderer states that he thought he was in the Frontrooms, but everyone had forgotten about him. The wanderer then realised that he must escape somehow. A few minutes later, he felt the sense of impending doom, and burst down the front door, escaping into Level 11.
Fear: Going insane.
Result: Wanderer escaped into Level 5, but went insane a few days later.
This instance of Level 71 was a singular room with a locked door. The wanderer was tied up, and started to lose vision. Then, he reported hearing voices and footsteps, and thought this was the end of him. This was when the sense of impending doom kicked in. The wanderer woke up, and tried to free himself. It took about ten minutes, and then he burst open the door to reveal a corridor of Level 5. However, he went insane after.Colonies and Outposts
It is deemed impossible to form a group within Level 71.
Entrances
The entrance to this level is unclear, but it is thought to be a blood-stained door that appears when you are feeling hopeless.
Exits
There is no consistent exit, some instances may not have exits at all, but exits seem to appear after you feel the sense of impending doom. The level you end up in is determined on what your instance of Level 71 is like., and sometimes your fear.
