Level 73 is the 74th level of The Backrooms.
Description[]
Level 73, known as “Shooting Gallery” is an expansive shooting network, spanning approximately 100 km2. Level 73 is primarily composed of corridors and winding hallways along with other facilities, including retail, lounges and weaponry rooms. The unusual layout of a typical shooting gallery in The Frontrooms results into multiple chambers placed intricately and improperly conceived, different gates stumbling into other shooting galleries; and rooms that are placed incorrectly. Within the compartment, shooting lanes group in a row, each lane featuring a shooting bench or table including a gun and ammunition, along with shooting targets moving foward constantly.
The flooring is more diversified and distinct in each subject matter, with most rooms having concrete, rubber, or steel flooring that is resilient, straight forward to clean, and capable of enduring the impact of expanded casings and errant bullet rounds. Steel cables column across the firing lane or bay at a suitable height corresponding to the measurement as the ceiling. The shooting targets are hung across a cable using a string, where they constantly move forward until it collides with the wanderer or the ammunition. Paintings and sculptures may be found, containing both arts and sculptures from both The Frontrooms and The Backrooms.
The shooting lanes in Level 73 are lit up by bright and adjustable fluorescent lighting fixtures, guaranteeing no darkness in the surrounding region. The ceiling contains a small ventilation system, small remote holes from the bullets, or occasionally ceiling windows; portraying as a light source for the shooting range. The backstop at the end of each shooting lane wall is a crucial protection attribute, preventing gunfire from departing the specified firing area.
Certain shooting galleries might possess a room or lounge that functions as a separate room from its own, such as a waiting area or retail and rental services where a wide range of weapons, ammunition, and accessories can be purchased or found, by facelings operating the store.
Weapons include pistols, rifles, shotguns, and air guns; where one may locate these commodities in other locations, like floors or shooting lanes. Crossbows, archery, knives, and other throwing weapons are also available as additional weapons. However, some weapons may be damaged or malfunction, thus making them nearly-worthless. Aside from weapons, other items can be found, including papers, loose planks, and empty cardboard boxes. Essential items are also found such as Almond Water, food, tools and supply drops. Vending machines are found in this level, containing a decent amount of packaged food, which makes it a reliable source of food in Level 73. Windows may also be found, which are harmless and useful; essential for guiding one in The Flickering Aftershocks.
It is widely acknowledged that the shooting gallery is considered to be unnatural and unsettling. Many rooms include unsuitable width/length measurements, unnecessary heights, and pointless pillars obstructing the shooting target. Furthermore, a chamber might be barred, with few things inside that cannot confirm to any use, or it might exist in an abandoned condition with everything being messy and demolished.
Hazards[]
Level 73’s environment is relatively unsafe, as the main hazard is the shooting targets that constantly move forward, pushing one if they get too close, leading to bruises, broken bones and other injuries, depending on the type and speed of the shooting target. When shooting targets are shot down, they will malfunction and fall down, though the amount of shots required to take down a target varies by the material it is made out of. Additionally, the shooting target will have other properties, such as the size, height and speed of the target.
Other hazards such as such as nails poking through the floor, sharp pieces of metal being present, slippery surfaces or The Blackout phenomenon. Level 73’s non-enviromental hazards pose a risk to anyone wandering inside, such as getting splinters from the broken metal, contracting tetanus from the exposed nails, unintentionally slipping through the floor or unable to sightread the moving shooting targets. Those hazards, combined with the addition of The Flickering Aftershocks and the shooting targets, makes Level 73 a somewhat dangerous level.

The only entities found in this level are Facelings and Radios. Both of them are friendly and will not attack unless provoked.
