Level 731 High Risk, Higher Reward
Description
Backrooms level 731 is the 732nd level of the backrooms. Level 731 is a collection of 3 sublevels. All but one of these sublevels are very dangerous. All but the "safe" sublevel consist of places that exist within reality however they are altered. There are many supplies on each sublevel and it is even possible to find Royal Rations on the “safe” sublevel. This level is very rewarding but it is not recommended to attempt this level because of how high the risk is. The level’s survival difficulty is undetermined because of how much the sublevels vary, the “safe” sublevel’s mysterious properties and unknown informations, and the undocumented entities on the “entertainment” sublevel.
Sublevel 1

Las Vegas Strip
Sublevel 1, Entertainment, seems to be the Las Vegas Strip full of casinos, buffets, aquariums, lights, etc. These casinos gamble the same high stakes things as level 777. Tokyo Poker, a casino that was thought to have been missing from level 777, is present on this level. It is unknown how Tokyo Poker got here but it is thought to have been taken by the “House Master”.
Sublevel 1 Entities
The entities present in Sublevel 1 are mostly the entities from level 777. However, there are friendly facelings acting as pedestrians much like level 11. Another entity that is present and level exclusive is the House Master. The House Master controls all of the casinos and will make you a servant if you are in debt and try to escape. The House Master’s identity is unknown but it is theorized that they are a rogue member of the Morgana Council trying to sabotage their previous organization. The theory of the House Master is also believed to be the reason that the things that are gambled are so similar to those of level 777.
Sublevel 1 Outposts/Colonies
There are no Outposts stationed in this sublevel. However, there is one community located here. They call themselves the “Debt Collectors”. The Debt Collectors are servants of The House Master that go around and capture wanderers that are in debt and trying to escape. The Debt Collectors live on the outskirts of the Strip and are friendly towards you unless you are in debt to The House Master. They will help you and give you supplies but they will not let you leave this sublevel until you repay them.
Sublevel 1 Entrances/Exits
Entrances: There is only 1 confirmed entrance however there are other entrances that are theorized. The confirmed entrance is to make your way to level 52. Once on level 52, you must kill one of the student entities. It does not matter if there are any witnesses as you will be immediately sent to level 731, Sublevel 1. It is theorized that you can enter by no-clipping through a purple wall on level 11 however this is not confirmed.
Exits: To exit, you must bet your life and win in poker. However, it’ll only send you to Sublevel 2 if you gamble within the casino known as “House Master’s Haven” and if you beat the House Master himself. Beware though, the House Master’s games are very rigged and dangerous. If you lose but give him a fun time or a challenge, The House Master will take pity on you and will make you a servant instead. If you lose quickly or are very easy to beat, The House master will take your life as that’s what you bet.
Sublevel 2
A photo of the red zone
Sublevel 2, Death, is a very dark expanse of distorted buildings, trees, and even people. The sublevel is split into 2 different zones, the red zone and the main zone. This level is thought to represent New York City, just very, very distorted. People are glitched into each other and sometimes even walls. These are not humans as they have no heads and freakishly long legs that have been documented to reach 9 feet tall. Sublevel 2 is infested with extremely hostile entities that are near invincibility because of the effects of the sublevel. Once you make it to this point, there is no going back. It is impossible to go back to sublevel 1. You can only hope to make it to sublevel 3. The entities hunt and travel in packs and will attack on sight. The only way to defeat them is with Super Almond Water mixed with liquid pain. Fortunately, this sublevel has tons of supply crates scattered around so these are not very difficult to retrieve. If you wander too deep within this level, you'll end up in a blinding, bright red representation of New York City. If you end up in this area, there is no way to escape. The red zone is around 500 miles away from the spawn. Upon entering, you'll be surrounded in a horde of wretches and instantly torn to shreds.
Sublevel 2 Entities
Sublevel 2 is infested with hostile entities that are many times more hostile than usual.
- Wretches are very common in both zones of this sublevel
- Hounds are also very common to find but are only present in the main zone
- Smilers are present in nearly every building of the main zone and are the second most common entity on this sublevel
- Janitors are more rare but can still be found on Sublevel 2
- They're rare, however it is possible to find partygoers on Sublevel 2
- Pedestrians are 9 feet tall humanoids that are headless
Sublevel 2 Outposts/Colonies
There are no outposts or colonies present. Sublevel 2 of Level 731 is much too dangerous to setup any outposts especially because of the threat of partygoers. No colonies have been formed because almost every wanderer that has made it to this point either ended up in the red zone or were killed by the near invincible entities.
Sublevel 2 Entrances/Exits
Entrances: The only entrance to Sublevel 2 is to beat The House Master at a game of poker in his own casino, while betting your life.
Exits: Just like the entrance, there is only one exit. To get to Subroom 3, you must find a task sheet which can be rarely found in supply crates. Upon retrieving a task sheet, you'll have exactly 30 minutes to complete the tasks. These tasks can range from things such as kill 10 hounds, to find the red zone. It was even documented that it's possible to get a task to tame a faceling. As soon as you complete these tasks, you'll be teleported to Sublevel 3.
Sublevel 3
Sublevel 3 is considered to be a "safe" sublevel (At least in terms of Level 731). This is because it is possible to lose your life or a body part if that's what's most important to you. Very little is known about Sublevel 3 because it is different for everyone. The sublevel is always full of the wander's biggest fears. Once you have entered, a being known as "The Collector" will ask you what you love most. If you lie, it'll know and will repeatedly ask you what you love most until you answer truthfully. Once you answer truthfully, the collector will take whatever it is away from you. In return, The Collector will let you choose anywhere to be sent to. This means that it is possible to be sent back to reality.
Sublevel 3 Entities
There are only two entities on Sublevel 3 and neither are hostile.
- Shape Shifters are entities that are not hostile but take the form of your biggest fear.
- The Collector: An entity that very little is known about. The Collector always somehow knows when you are telling the truth or are lying. The Collector is a very powerful being as they have the ability to send wanderers back to reality or other levels.
Sublevel 3 Outposts/Colonies
There are neither any outposts or colonies on Sublevel 3 because of the risk of getting there. There have also been no reports of wanderers meeting on this sublevel.
Sublevel 3 Entrances/Exits
Entrances: The only entrance is by completing the task sheet on Sublevel 3.
Exits: You can exit this level by telling the truth to The Collector. The Collector will either send you to another level or reality.
