Description
Level 75 comprises districts of grounded slums characterized by a juxtaposition of overcrowded living quarters against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers — sometimes called 'ghost buildings' — when viewed from the east. The distance between the region and the wanderer's location appears to be proximate, though current understanding suggests that these structures are mere illusions for they remain at the same distance regardless of one's position. Architecture-wise, the level appears to be predominantly Latin American, Asian, and North African, with a prevalence of housing units resembling favelas, whereas some compare Level 75 to be a look-alike of Dharavi and Kibera.
Sitting atop a hilly landscape, some areas are more difficult to navigate than others despite the level's infamously circuitous blueprint, as flatter areas tend to bear more squares and spaces separating the spaces and steeper areas generally include tighter spaces. Precipitation in Level 75 averages 40 centimeters an hour, leading to heavy rainfall being a weekly occurrence; and temperatures within the tight spaces may vary, although they generally stay at 30–35 degrees Celsius. The level's day-and-night cycle is similarly diurnal, congruent to the Frontrooms as daytime and nighttime follow the equatorial pattern due to the absence of seasons in Level 75.
Surface sanitation is surprisingly sterile and devoid of harmful bacteria/infections despite the level's infectious and poorly kept appearance. Hence, the minimal supply of provisions such as water, and especially food, can be consumed without worry about rotting or contamination. However, caution should be exercised to ensure that no dirt, sand, or cement particles are present on the surface of the intake. In addition, any diseases originating from the Frontrooms would promptly be neutralized under unknown circumstances, though this does not apply to disease-entities such as Sanguine Festivus and Hydrolitis Plague. These diseases, however, would perish given enough time spent in the level, indicated by the aforementioned absence of microorganisms.
The brandishing of Level 75's outdoor environment contrasts with that of the interior. Inside the closely packed living spaces are a white or black void, while the latter is more commonly encountered. When entering these units, anything besides the frame of the entrance from which the wanderer enters would disappear. Non-Euclidean in nature, the space within the finite compounds of the unit seems to be infinite, and it is ill-advised to travel outside a critical distance in these voids. However, cameras that record or are actively recording these areas would inexplicably display a realistic depiction of the interior, and fixtures that are shown in the photograph or video recording would be "phased through" when one passes by or walks through them.
An invisible barrier, positioned approximately 2.5 meters above the wanderer, prevents any attempts to climb onto roofs and view the entirety of the level. Numerous visual depictions of a satellite view of the level have been proposed, but the description of one has been accepted to be most likely is one that describes Level 75's terrain as simply endless and entirely blanketed by the colossal medleys of housing units. Any theories that suggest the presence of fog or haze that may limit the visibility level has been scrapped, as it has been disproven by the existence of continual streets that do not show a visible horizon. In most cases, what appears to be "coincidental" electrical malfunction of power lines have partially or even completely disabled drones on sight-seeing endeavors.
Interestingly, natural disasters that occur in regions of the Frontrooms that Level 75 mimics would also correspondingly occur on the level itself. Nonetheless, the dilapidated and weak structure of the houses does not seem to be damaged by any force of nature, as hazards of these disasters come in the form of debris and not the buildings themselves. It should be noted that interiors are resistant to disasters since water or wind that make their way these spaces would vanish.
Contact with other individuals is inexistent despite its overcrowded nature; the level is theorized to simply be too gargantuan for any wanderers to meet unless they noclip/enter from the same location at any given point. Entrances to Level 75 are not too tedious to find, though it is wont to disappear after being used for a specific amount of time. Those who attempt to use these so-called 'dead exits', however, would find themselves in another area of the level they are in as opposed to their intended destination. In contrariwise, exits from Level 75 are nearly impossible to encounter since the layout usually leads off-course or causes the wanderer to be disoriented, diverting them from exits.
Entrances & Exits
Entrances
A number of 6 confirmed entrances are publicly known.
- Seemingly overcrowded areas in levels bearing houses or neighborhood-like areas would sometimes transport one to Level 75;
- In Level 9, shanty houses in relatively small neighborhoods comprised of them may lead to this level;
- Entering uncommonly found "unrendered" areas in Level 11 would promptly transfer one to Level 75;
- Rare in nature, the entrance within Level 82's island of Babel should take in the form of trapdoors that lead underground and transferring the wanderer to Level 75;
- Districts of Level 222 with crowded complexion seldomly transitions to this level — a process most do not even notice;
- Noclipping through kaleidoscopic furniture in [-703].
Exits
Exits from Level 75 are mostly rumors, though one exit has been confirmed and one has been reported a multitude of times.
- From contemporary allegations, walking far enough into the white or black voids that is the interior of the housing units in Level 75 would direct one to Level 234;
- Plunging in a large body of water that would very rarely appear out of the blue would bring one to Level 375.
