Level 773 is the 774th level of the Backrooms

Description

Normally, Level 773 is constructed out of colossal sized repeating computer parts, each part representing a section of the level and repeating seemingly infinitely. They have been categorized below.

Cable Hallways

This section is a web of colossal wiring measuring anywhere from 100-200 meters in diameter. A mostly hollow cable jacket contains anywhere from 3-5 giant wires that stretch the length of the jacket. The wire insulation can be red, black, green, yellow, and blue in color and are comprised of thermoplastic. Unless the thermoplastic is breached the wires are safe to touch. The cable jacket is pitch black and intersects randomly with other cables. These ‘cable hallways’ connect the rest of the level’s sections, but can stretch for dozens of kilometers before such a connection is made. If the thermoplastic is damaged enough to expose the copper straightwire it encases an immeasurable amount of electricity will shoot from the wire killing anything that gets too close. These electricity leaks usually last for five minutes before power is cut from that web of cables.

Processing

This section consists of countless electrical boards of varying size, shape, and function. These boards have been witnessed to jut out at odd angles and fuse into each other. They are all connected by plastic poles of similarly random length and direction. The entire section is dangerously hot at 65 degrees celsius and bathed in a blistering red light. To add to the danger, winds clocking in at 100KPH have been recorded blowing through this section. This creates an ear-shattering whistling sound and occasionally breaks off weaker boards causing debris to be common. It is unknown how far this expanse of electrical boards goes but it has been observed to be ‘as far as the eye can see’ by MEG personnel. It has not been explored further as it has been deemed too dangerous to enter.

The Fans

This section is theoretically reachable, however MEG personnel have refused to get close. It is comprised of a wall of fans stretching into infinity. These fans range from average window fans to industrial sized fans, and all operate at full capacity non-stop. This creates wind speeds of up to 700KPH and potentially higher. It is theorized that these fans supply cooling to the processing section of the level, however they have never been found next to a processing section instead blowing into an endless black void.

The Monitors

This section is made up of monitors, all displaying either green 1’s and 0’s or static. The monitors are again a random size and shape from the traditional rectangle to circular and even hexagonal. Regardless of their dimensions they all work together to create rooms and pathways that are usually safely walked upon, however sheer drops and dead ends are common. Behind the monitors is a series of long mechanical arms holding each screen in place. Sometimes these arms can be soon moving and re-arranging the screens into a new configuration, but have yet to move a screen that is occupied by a person. The displays of 1’s and 0’s were studied by MEG but found to be a series of gibberish with no meaning.

The Consumed Area

This level seems to be the origin point of The Consumption Engines, and is riddled with destruction caused by the entities. The most destroyed section of Level 773 is the consumed area and is advised to be avoided at all costs. Cable Hallways can be severed in two and spewing electricity. Processing sections aren’t as hot but are extremely unstable and liable to send you tumbling to your death. Fans can send their destroyed blades careening at incredible speeds towards other sections. Interestingly enough the arms holding the monitors have been seen fighting back against the Consumption Engines, but have been incapable of completely fending them off. Beyond the destruction is a black void where machinery once existed, but has now been turned into nothing. Due to the extreme density of Consumption Engines in this area you are advised to be extremely careful if forced to traverse The Consumed Area.

Colonies & Outposts

There are no communities here due to the nature of the level.

Entities

Consumption Engines are the only known entities that inhabit this level.

Entrances and Exits

The only known entrances and exits to Level 773 are through the Consumption Engine’s ceaseless destruction and are only made when one of those engines finds an exit, which it then destroys rendering it useless for repeated visits. This makes contact with this level extremely inconsistent.
