Level 7 is the 8th level of the Backrooms.
Description
Level 7 is a huge bleached brick warehouse and with the concrete floor, the floor colors vary from gray, grey-brown, brown, white, black, beige (the main colors confirmed.) Level 7 is covered by working lanterns and a lot of water. It is common to find apparently empty paint buckets, often featuring well-known brands in the Frontrooms, as well as containing several unique and random features and usually the appearance of windows, doors, stairs, iron or wooden tables, wooden chairs or plastic chairs. children's lamps, lamps, non-functional rifles, national flags, baskets with food from pots, broken furniture like televisions, chairs, tables, broken counters and even dangerous objects like Liquid Pain.
It is observed that Level 7 is increasingly increasing its small water level because of water drops coming from holes in the walls and ceiling, it is not possible to see inside these holes because they are extremely small and only something dark can be seen for a while inside, including, it has been studied that the components of water are safe to be consumed, even with their greenish appearance, it is possible that this occurs due to the color of the floor, which confuses the walkers who feel disapproximation of the liquid.
Rarely appearance of other walkers occurs at Level 7, being considered totally devoid of human life. This makes it easier to do not escape the level due to the loss of sanity and the feeling of being alone, making any humans there go crazy. In addition to the major regions of the level being unknown, with an assumption the Level 7 has impossibly huge dimensions or contains an infinite, a endless structure.
Possessing many random doors throughout the level, it is possible that extremely rarely some can lead to a structure that has polished stone brick structures and mounds of sand throughout the regions of the room. It is considered very dangerous to access this room due to the possibility of having dangerous entities such as Figures, Aranea Membris, Skin-Stealers and █████.
In addition to the entities located in the stone brick room, It is said by many wanderers, an entity not cataloged for now that may exist beyond the accessible regions of Level 7, the anomaly refers to a creature characterized by an appearance close to that of a huge marine life similar to a devilfish, but with a rumored structure with a body 2 times larger than the original, and the ways to meet this entity have not had many known attempts to occur, or at least there is evidence that the ways work. The various meetings and readings of the submitted reports may refer in the ways as stated below:
Encounter With an Unknown Entity
- Noclip attempts will most likely not work, only the registered ones.
- The items in the place are random, it's common to find an axe and then try to break the wall.
- Use the holes that leak water, try to use them to open a bigger opening.
- Making an extremely loud noise, greater than an ordinary human scream, can wake up the entity.
- Go up and down the stairs several times while screaming and trying to break the walls.
The above information, rest assured that it might not work, as confirmed and recorded attempts might show the failure. But it can still be true, not confirmed.
Entities
There is a moderate amount of entities in the main parts of the level, their types are quite varied due to Level 7's variety of perception and its infinite possibilities of objects found, but some more dangerous entities that can be found in the aforementioned stone room are the only ones that can be exactly confirmed without too many varieties.
Colonies and Outposts
Even though it is possible to gather a colony here and survive collectively, for some unknown reason, there are no colonies at this level.
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
- Because of the structure of Level 6, it is extremely difficult to find Level 7, but if you find it, a luminescent exit staircase will be visible, right after the stairs, find a door, open it and get here.
Exits
- A random door takes you to a stone brick room, mentioned on the previous page, after facing the existing entities continue your way, in an indefinite time, you will be teleported back to Level 0.

Footage of Level 7.
Description
Level 7 is unique in that it is a vast expanse of water that appears to stretch on endlessly.
An image of the "room" in Level 7.
Nobody thus far has fully explored Level 7, but what is currently known is that the first and potentially only "room" of Level 7 is not flooded and has the usual fluorescent lighting. The room has a thin layer of water on the bottom, and is strangely skewed from the rest of the floor. Anomalously, the single door opens to show the surface of the water from a top-down perspective. The room is seemingly rotated horizontally, but gravity still works to keep one's feet on the floor in the first room. Upon entry, gravity switches to pulling one towards the water and is significantly stronger than regular gravity. The water has been reported to be very cold and it is generally unadvised to enter it.
The floor of the ocean is made up of carpet hardened by a thick layer of tar above it. There are several skeletons, including several almost-humanoid figures and massive fish. Little else is known about the depths of the waters, aside from the endless expanse of tar and bones.
This level poses a significant barrier to future exploration of Level 8 and onward.
Colonies and Outposts
Guide Outpost 05 (Former)
This research base previously owned by both B.A.S and T.T.G is now abandoned.
Pre-Abandonment:
- Have 8 B.A.S scientist and 20 T.T.G Guards
- Main purpose is to study the depth of the 'seafloor', search for exit and/or find an alleged and legendary creature rumored to claim its abode in the ocean depths of Level 7, a very ancient legend.
- Set up a temporal camp near the only room.
- After finding the 'seafloor' seemingly 'infinite' deep and eventually finding a more 'practical' exit, the team gets attacked by robe-wearing attackers (likely TPWG, see above) and retreated through the more 'practical' exit, ending up at Level 4 with a sealed, water leaking fire-door.
- Base abandoned.
Backroom Colonists
A research outpost owned by the group in question that is relatively big. It has currently 40 people guarding it and it has similar properties to The Floaters previous outpost. While it is pretty recreational, they have sea related equipment to do experiments on the ocean.
Outpost 207
- Created by the outpost group
- Relatively friendly
- Open to trade
- Base made of random furniture
- 65 members
The Floaters
- Had 23 people
- Lived in a medium sized outpost with a makeshift swimming pool where they would swim for both fun and for exercise
- Destroyed.
- Rumored to have been taken by the thing on Level 7
Entrances and Exits
Entrances
Eight known ways to enter Level 7 are:
- Wandering far enough in Level 6; the feel with the exit from Level 6 to here, it looks like a ramp.
Exits
- It is rarely possible to find a broken drain in the darkest and most dangerous parts of the Level 7 ocean, this after finding a sewer-like structure, trying to enter these drains will redirect the wanderer to Level 8.
- A more practical way of exiting is through a double side door with a "No Exit" sign. It leads back to Level 4.
