Level 821 is the 822nd level of the backrooms.

Description

Level 821, commonly referred to as the Cargo Tundra was first discovered back in March 16th, 2019 by Reddit user u/SuperMule67 was at the northern side of Level 23 when he went through a reddish-brown door. This level has the appearance of a tundra during night with many areas of this level. The climate in this level is very cold with the average temperature being -27°C (-16°F) so wearing a snowsuit, winter goggles, gloves and boots are highly recommended to keep yourself warm.

Sections

Area 1: The Maze Of The Orange Shipping Containers

This is the first area you start of in and it is found throughout Area 2 and its the smallest of this level. This area features rows of orange shipping containers stacked on top of each other, these stacks of containers can reach heights from 51 to 68 feet tall and it is home to Polar Reapers (a entity excusive to level 821 and the shipping containers are its natural habitat), light poles can be found throughout the maze as well, there are also dark blue shipping containers which can be an exit when no-clipped but these are extremely rare to come across.

Overall this area is about 40000 km2 (15444 mi2).

Area 2: Arctic Hills

This area is possibly largest in this level. There is little to no light sources in this area so it would be recommended to bring flashlights, lanterns or any other light source into this area while traveling. Some entities can be found in this area, most commonly Deathmoths and Polar Reapers.

Overall this area is about 7500000 km2 (2895766 mi2).

Area 3: Mountainous Barrier

The most dangerous area of this level, the Mountainous Barrier takes the appearance of mountains. This area is also the coldest at -31°C (-23°F) due to the added altitudes the mountains give off. The average height of these mountains are somewhere between 3,580m to 4,270m (11745ft to 14009ft) and no entities can be found on this area.

Overall this area is about 2800000 km2 (1081086 mi2).

Area 4: The Endless Ice Sheet

This area is the most mysterious one of all but it takes the appearance of an thick sheet of ice and unlike normal ice, this sheet of ice is unbreakable and No-Clipping is impossible when attempted on this area, this area is also known to make you hallucinate and after 16 hours, there will be a 98.7% Chance of death. The only known entity in this area is the Insanities.

The overall size of this area is unknown.

Colonies and Outposts

There are no known colonies or outposts in this level due to the extremely cold climate.

Entities

The only documented entities on this level are Polar Reapers, Howlers, Deathmoths and Insanities.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances:

Go far north into Level 23 to it's exit and you would have a 0.00008% chance of going to this level.

Entering the Brown Door behind you in level Level 819: "Gamble" will bring you here.

Sleeping in the basement for 12 hours in Level 442 will lead here.

Exits:

2.3% Chance of surviving 16 hours in Area 4 and you will lead you to Level 1, Level 3 or in some cases level 4.

Find a dark blue shipping container in Area 1 and No-Clip through it and it will lead you to Level 0 or to level 6, but these dark blue shipping containers are extremely rare to come across.
