Description

Level 823 is a series of floating islands, suspended in the sky by pillars of lava. Partyguests (Details in the entity section) will be running alongside you. Many have compared this level to Level ! due to the fact that you have to run a high distance (Which is currently undefined due to how dangerous this level is) while avoiding an entity. Abandoned houses can be seen on the floating islands, and the trees here are made of sulfur. The level has it's own entity, which cannot be named as it is just a mass of black fog. Thus, it can also be described as a feature of the level less so than a entity. Touching this cloud will send you back to the beginning, also resetting in the process, and it will constantly chase you and the Partyguests. If you manage to outrun the cloud and reach the end of the road, for your own safety, JUMP INTO THE CLOUDS. Failure to jump will get you killed, and jumping into this cloud will take you to a random level.

Entities: Partyguests

Partyguests are a sub-species of Partygoers. Uniquely, Partyguests are not linked to a Partyhost. Partyguests can talk a decent amount of english, and are friendly to wanderers, even befriending some of them. Partyguests despise Partygoers, and will go out of their way to kill as many as possible from the back lines. Partyguests are incapable of infecting wanderers, due to having actual hands. Their paper bag like face is actually torn to have a mouth. Partygoers cannot kill Partyguests, and it is not possible to explain why. It most likely boils down to the fact that Partyguests are too visually similar to Partygoers. Partyhosts are unable to comprehend the visual differences needed to tell a partyguest from a Partygoer. Below is a list of major personality differences not listed above that are unique to Partyguests and not to Partygoers:

  • Partyguests can only "Spawn" in this level. It's unknown what this level possesses that power.
  • Partyguests cannot digest human flesh. This is why Partyguests are very friendly to humans (They have no reason to kill you if there's nothing to get from it.)
  • Partyguests have personalities and names, and have made a society in Level 300 where they go by human names and do human things. They can still be seen wandering the backrooms
  • Partyguests are capable of reproduction. They do so by eating enough real food and sweets.
  • Partyguests are unable to sense humans from a far distance, due to having no reason to have evolved this trait.
  • Partyguests are animal lovers, as oppossed to Partygoers which possess a distaste for all life.
  • Partyguests have an average human IQ. They are aware of the backrooms, and can travel from level to level if needed.
  • Partyguests have a fairly weak sense of smell.
  • The Partyguest species and The Sticc Species are shown to be very friendly towards one another if interactions occur, such as in Log 4 below. Positive results in interactions also have occured between Death Moths and Partypoopers.
  • Partyguests are shown to take up professions, such as infrastructure or farming.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • To enter this level, much like Level !, randomly end up here. The chance to enter here is 1% every time you enter a room.
  • Escape Level !, and then say "Man, that was too easy!" to end up here.
  • Kill entities to have a chance to end up here.

Exits

  • Jump into the cloudy abyss to end up... Somewhere random.
  • You are only able to noclip if you get enough distance off the cloud. Locations you can no-clip into are:

Log

This log was recovered from an interview/interrogation with a partyguest.

Tape Starts Here

Reporter: Alright, Roll the film.

Whirling sounds can be heard in the background that slowly fade out.

Reporter: So, what are you?

Partyguest: A different type of Partygoer, I think anyways.

Reporter: I can see that. Where are you "Partyguests" from?

Partyguest: I think the human I escaped with said it was called Level 823

Reporter: Interesting. None of our scientists have been there. Is it connected to Level Fun perhaps?

Partyguest: No. You cannot easily force your way to the level.

Reporter: Were you a partygoer at any time? Do you remember a Partyhost?

Partyguest: No and No. Partyguests like me have a natural distaste for Partygoers and Partyhosts.

Reporter: When did you learn to speak english?

Partyguest: I think it's been like 10 years.

Reporter: And how old are you?

Partyguest: Probably like 14.

Reporter: You can do math, right? Where do you go to school at?

Partyguest: Somewhere in Level 11.

Reporter: I see. Can you have kids, or do you reproduce some other way?

Partyguest: We eat enough food and lay some sort of cake eggs. I heard the cake tastes pretty good as well.

Both the partyguest and the film crew have a nice laugh.

Partyguest: Well, can I leave?

Reporter: Yeah, you're good. Send us some cake and we'll review it!

The camera cuts as the partyguest slides out of the room, laughing.

Log 2

Log 2 was recovered from Level 11 on the rooftops. It seems to be a walkie talkie conversation between M.E.G. recruits.

M.E.G. 1: I see something... Is that a partygoer in Level 11?

M.E.G. 2: Use your binoculars to get a better look at it.

M.E.G. 1: It's not a partygoer... It has hands.

M.E.G. 2: Wait, then it can't infect people. Should I get a better look? I'm in the same sector as you after all.

M.E.G. 1: I guess? I mean, it can't hurt us, right?

Footsteps can be heard from M.E.G. 2's walkie talkie.

M.E.G. 2: I'm closing in on the location, can you locate me in the alleyway near the partygoer?

M.E.G. 1: Yes, I can see you in the alleyway.

M.E.G. 2: What are you doing here?! Who brought you here!?

From what M.E.G. 2 reports, the Partyguest gestures towards a wanderer.

M.E.G. 2: You! What is that?!

Wanderer: I don't know, why don't you ask IT and not me?

Partyguest: Yeah, maybe let me do the talking, bozo.

M.E.G. 2: You can talk?

M.E.G. 2: *whispering* You gotta back me up, bro.

M.E.G. 1: Alright, I'm on my way.

M.E.G. 2: How can you talk? Partygoers shouldn't be able to talk!

Partyguest: I'm not a Partygoer, I'm a Partyguest.

M.E.G. 2: A partyguest? What is that?

Partyguest: I guess, to put it lightly, partygoers but without a partyhost. Some of us just get sort of created by the mist.

M.E.G. 2: What's the mist?

Partyguest: Something in the level we come from.

M.E.G. 2: How did you learn to speak?

Wanderer: They are like normal humans in that regard, they learn more vocab the older they get.

Partyguest: I'm about 14 years old by the way.

M.E.G. 2: Do you know normal school stuff?

Partyguest: Yeah, there's a small organization that schools us.

M.E.G. 1: I'm here, what did I miss?

Partyguest: Do I have to go over this again?

The log cuts off here

Log 3

Log 3 was provided by a wanderer who supposedly escaped this level to Level 300. When provided, the wanderer stated they recorded this in Level 300 and made it clear they did not want to be named for this data. They stated as well as the level they were in, they were in The Rainbow Waterfalls. According to the provided details, this was one of the first encounters with Partyguests.

Wanderer will be re[DATA EXPUNGED], and Partyguest 1-5 will be represented as their names.

[DATA EXPUNGED]: Oh god... I don't want to die here!

P1: What? No!

[DATA EXPUNGED]: wut.

P5: Is it something we said?

[DATA EXPUNGED]: It's that you said something! How can you talk? Look, I escaped Level Fun and I know damned well that you [DATA EXPUNGED]ing freaks can't talk! What kind of evolved terror are you [DATA EXPUNGED]es?!?

P4: Just calm down! We don't want to hurt you!

[DATA EXPUNGED]: Ugh... Fine. What do you want then?

P4: We need a place to stay! Look at us, man. We are as equipped to deal with this place as you! Alright?

[DATA EXPUNGED]: I guess? Like, dude, what is happening.

P2: You can call us by our names, you know. I'm Henry.

P1: I'm Frank.

[During our report, [DATA EXPUNGED] mentioned "After introducing himself, Frank motioned towards P3 and said 'She's Maggy.' but my dumbass had my thumb on the microphone because i was fidgeting. You can just make a note in the log about this."]

P4: I'm Kylie.

P5: And I'm Jessie.

Maggy: So, can you get us somewhere safe?

[DATA EXPUNGED]: I don't know, it's been a while since I was here. This is the waterfalls, and there's a town somewhere nearby.

Jessie: Oh right! Cities! I know those. I like the city, maybe we could make a home out of it.

Kylie: I think I heard a call for one of us from the town. Thanks for the directions, stranger!

[[DATA EXPUNGED] described the rest of the events to us after the tape ended "They walked off. I heard from my girlfriend when she stopped by the cafe after work, she saw the flag of a oddly well drawn smiley, but not like the kind any Partyhost would use. ( :] ) Apparently, more of those had shown up, and they kinda took over the city in a non-violent way. I never heard a word from one of them again. I told MEG, and instructed them specifically to not use violence. They contacted me afterwards and sent me 1 million in USD, since my instructions allowed them to collect a data sample for research which would help them in the future. They sent a schooling force in, and allowed them to continue living there. After this, they contacted me when their results came back and hired me onto the science team."]
