Level 83- The Field of Roses

Level 83 is a seemingly unending field of roses, accompanied by a thin layer of fog in the sky, with dry and lifeless soil on the ground. The sight of the Level could be divided into two sections. One, the dark red ocean of roses that covers all the ground as much as the eye can see, and two, the blue sky covered in a blanket of fog with a light source enlightening both the sky and the ground from the distant horizon, stationary and constant.

The terrain of Level 83 is remarkably uniform, with vast stretches of flat ground devoid of any discernible obstacles. This feature makes navigation relatively straightforward for wanderers, allowing them to traverse the Level with relative ease. However, despite the apparent emptiness, reports have surfaced of shadowy figures or shapes lurking in the distance. These enigmatic entities seem to watch the wanderers from afar, disappearing into the mist at the slightest hint of observation. Whether these sightings are real manifestations or mere figments of the mind born from the solitude of the level remains a mystery.

The temperature is reported to range between 15°C to 25°C depending on the location, making the Level slightly humid and warm. Small clouds could be observed throughout the sky, but no instances of rain have ever been reported. However, hot winds containing moisture and various other components necessary for life coming down from the high-altitude clouds to the surface nullify the need for rain for plant life to thrive. It is unknown how all the components necessary for life got up to the sky, or whether it is being generated there or not. Due to those reasons, roses within the level are thought to extract their water supplies directly through the air through small pores spread throughout their stigma. For this same reason, the flowers lack proper roots as well, which are thought to have devolved over time due to the lack of water within the soil. Also, Almond Water at this level is replaced by a substance called Rose Water which is useful in identifying Skin-Stealers and removing rust from various objects.

Due to the unknown but surely massive size of the Level, it is unknown whether two wanderers that have noclipped independently could meet up at this Level. Due to this isolation from other human beings, mental instability and insanity are one of the biggest concerns for survival. Due to those reasons, it is recommended for wanderers to bring some almond water when entering this level since there are no known natural supplies of Almond Water in the level.

Level 83

In some of the more credible oral reports, there are descriptions of floating islands in the sky in places, with suspected lava lakes above them, and sometimes adorned with Turkish flags. Because of certain "old problems" at this Level, it is not certain whether the existence of floating islands is real, or whether, like entities, they may be hallucinations.

It is speculated that Level 83 may have a connection with Level 10, also known as "The Bumper Crop" or previously, "Field of Wheat". This is speculated due to the similarity within the nature of both Levels and the fact that Level 83 could be accessed through Level 10 by simply wandering far enough, suggesting the idea that Level 83 might just be a sub-level of Level 10. Similar to Level 10, dirt paths rarely could be found that may lead wanderers to other safe levels.

Effect[]

Conversion Effect[]

Conversion Effect is the effect of Level 83. This effect can cause any document recording this Level to be described after a period of time is converted into a colloquial description cannot be changed after conversion. This effect forces wanderers to read documents with informal descriptions, causing a lot of confusion.

The problem has disappeared, but the impact is still indelible, namely the availability of information on Level 83.

Note[]

The note was picked up by a wanderer at this Level:

Rose

My journey unfurled like a dream, revealing a captivating landscape of juxtaposed elements. At ground Level, an endless expanse of dark red roses sprawled in all directions, their velvety petals casting a somber tone against the backdrop of dry, lifeless soil. Above, a thin veil of mist hung in the sky, obscuring the heavens and imparting an ethereal quality to the surroundings. The misty shroud was pierced by a distant, unyielding light source on the horizon, bathing both the heavens and the earth below in a soft, constant glow.

The view made me ignorant of the dangers of the place, and I had only a few bottles of almond water with me, though I had no idea of how long I would be staying. Running out of food very early on, I knew that I had to get out of the place as soon as possible, in order to avoid getting into greater danger, which, unfortunately, I did not do in the end.

I was so desperate that I went looking for someone to ask how to get out of here. Yes, I had completely forgotten how to get out of here, and even though the vast size of the area made finding someone impossible, I had to look, but apparently I hadn't encountered anyone. I don't know how long it took, but I couldn't walk on my feet, so I lay down on the ground and saw a floating island with a flag on it, the Turkish flag, my former home.

Maybe this is my last diary, and if anyone picks it up, it means I'm dead, died in sea of flowers.

Oh yeah, this Level has entities. what

- - 2016

Entities[]

The Level is thought to be completely devoid of entities, although there have been unconfirmed reports of shadow-like figures staring at the wanderers from far away. Whether those are actual entities or hallucinations caused by prolonged isolation is unknown.Do you see, yep?

Colonies and Outposts[]

Due to the lack of Almond Water at this Level, forming independent or permanent settlements is considered unfeasible at this Level. Most colonies and outposts within this Level are thought to be temporary settlements of larger organizations to extract Rose Water which is considered a valuable resource due to its abilities to remove rust from equipment and identify Skin-Stealers.

Entrances and Exits[]

Entrances:[]

Wandering far enough in Level 10 may slowly and gradually lead one to this Level. The transmission is said to be mostly unnoticeable by wanderers and most wanderers end up in this Level unintentionally. Running through one of the fields in Level 257 will cause the flowers to slowly shift to red, leading here. Noclipping through sakura tree in Level 138 will lead to this Level.

Exits:[]

Dirt paths may lead one to other safe Levels.

Rarely a bulk of stiffly placed and tall concrete buildings could be spotted on the horizon. Walking towards this bulk of buildings for a while will eventually cause the wanderer to be knocked out and the wanderer will wake up in Level 84.

Level 83, also known as "Field of Roses" is the 84th Level of the backrooms.

Level 83 seems to be devoid of life forms other than roses, but in fact, there are entities present on this level. They use bows and arrows to attack, and are called Archers. They seem to be the only entities on the level, and are also the most dangerous things on Level 83. In addition, psychological harm is also a risk factor at Level 83. Staying here for too long can lead to psychological problems, most commonly hallucinations and amnesia, the latter of which is usually fatal because it means wanderers are likely to forget how to get out of here.

Since it's reasonably impossible to see another person, the quantity of provisions you carry becomes a major problem. Due to this reason, it is recommended for wanderers to bring 35 bottle almond water when entering this level since there are no known natural supplies of Almond Water in the Level.

Level 83

In some of the more credible oral reports, there are descriptions of floating islands in the sky in places, with suspected lava lakes above them, and sometimes adorned with Turkish flags. Because of certain psychiatric hazard at this Level, it is not certain whether the existence of floating islands is real.

Effect

Conversion Effect

Conversion Effect is the effect of Level 83. This effect can cause any document recording this Level to be described after a period of time is converted into a colloquial description cannot be changed after conversion. This effect forces wanderers to read documents with informal descriptions, causing a lot of confusion.

The effect is still present, just slightly less effective.

Entities

Archers

The Archer is a hazardous entity that appears as a humanoid figure dressed in a black velvet cloak that entirely conceals its head, making it difficult for most people to discern its facial features. According to one of the surviving wanderers, these entities had deep, large cracks in the right eyelid of their faces, which appeared very dark and decayed.

Such entities do not normally attack wanderers or take an interest in them, unless they are actively picking or destroying roses, then they will hunt them down and kill them until they are captured, and even if the person has left Level 83, they will still attempt to kill them the next time they enter this Level.

Note

The note was picked up by a wanderer at this Level, this is the second time, difference is, the wanderer is crazy:

look

I'm look.
One person after another dies.
I'm look.
Believers' spirits float on roses
I'm look.
The glory of the empire is fading.
I'm look.
The new order has risen.
