Description
Level 866 is the 867th level of the Backrooms. It consists of a small, abandoned town in the middle of a bare dirt field that extends for an unknown distance. You will always start inside of a small one-room brick buildings with concrete floors covered in pieces of the partially collapsed ceiling, and empty window and door frames, with no panes or doors. Going outside, there is a single stretch of dirt-covered road under a brownish-orange sky. This road runs through the rest of the town. Most of the town is dotted by spread-out, abandoned, run-down buildings which appeared to originally be things such as houses, diners, and stores. Ruined power lines line the street and even trail off into the bare dirt field. The main building on this level is an abandoned nuclear power plant, which is highly dangerous to enter. Above-ground concrete shelters are present, going in one will lead you out of the level.

Dangers on Level 866
Level 866 does not have any entities; however, it is highly dangerous due to high amounts of radiation everywhere on the level. Radiation levels on Level 866 have been measured to constantly be around 4.5 to 8 Sieverts/hour, which can cause fatal radiation poisoning after only a few hours of trekking unprotected on this level. The soil is polluted with radioactive metals such as uranium, plutonium, technetium, and americium. The air on this level is also unsafe to breathe. Vaporized chemicals present in Level 866's air include carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, sodium hydroxide, formaldehyde, chromyl chloride, mercury vapors, and even vaporized sulfuric acid, which are all toxic chemicals, some being known to be corrosive or carcinogenic to humans. In order to explore Level 866, it is required to bring a hazmat suit, leather gloves, a full-face gas mask, closed-toed shoes or hazmat boots, and lead vests in order to protect you.
Littering this level are metal barrels full of radioactive waste of certain levels. Red barrels contain low-level radioactive waste, such as things like latex gloves, papers, pens, metal scraps, soda cans, and other things that may have been irradiated. These barrels can even contain bottles of Almond Water, which have been irradiated to the point of being highly unsafe to drink. Blue barrels on this level contain intermediate-level waste, such as things like irradiated tools, clothing, wood, or other technological things used in nuclear power plants. Yellow barrels contain high-level waste, which are things such as spent nuclear rods and fuel, and even containers of Liquid Pain, which due to the radiation have been turned more potent and deadly. Yellow barrels are very unsafe to approach due to high amounts of radioactivity from the waste inside.
There are weather events on Level 866, one of which being known as the Toxic Fog, which is a thick fog that will suffocate anyone who is caught in it without proper equipment. The other is known as the Radiation Storm, which is a dust storm that can bring high amounts of radioactive fallout with it where it makes landfall. These events happen randomly, so it is suggested to always be prepared for them at all times.
Entrances
A metal door with a radioactive sign on it is present on levels 7, 9, 13, 20, and 115. Going through it will lead you to this level.
Exits
Run into one of the concrete shelters on this level, and they will teleport you to another level. If you spawn in this level unprotected, you should immediately get to one of these shelters as soon as possible.
The Nuclear Power Plant
The abandoned nuclear power plant on this level is highly unsafe to enter, as the radiation inside soars to over 11 Sieverts/hour. It is believed that the plant contains a material called corium, which is a mix of nuclear fuel, concrete, steel, and copper that have been melted together in a meltdown. This meltdown is suspected to be the thing that rendered this once-lively level uninhabitable.
Bases/Outposts
Due to the intensely inhospitable environment of this level and the lack of usable supplies here, establishing a long-term base or outpost is impossible.
